Yeah I heard about that from someone over at Beth.net. I’ll read reviews when (or if) it is released, but tbh, I’m not holding out much hope that it’s going to be a decent game, let alone a worthy sequel to the original.

I sort of wanna play Bloodlines again but I am forever sick and tired of the MQ and all the dialogue now and Lily and E and the Ocean house etc. It was great the first few times but I've had enough. Shame really, but what you gonna do?

Pfft you could say that. First they announce that they are delaying the game for a 2021 release, then they fire key personnel like Brian f-ing Mitsoda! To put that into perspective, imagine if Beth had fired Todd Howard right before releasing any of their games. Other people are leaving the team too. It’s a big mess.

Rewatching a LP of Bloodlines again; the sewers and the timing puzzle therein. God, I remember first time through that place. Took forEVER! Then the other times I just breezed through it and was disappointed how quickly it ended

Ok, so I figured out how to edit textures in VTMB1. First you need the VPK Tool.

The texture files come in pairs. One will have a .ttz extension, and it's partner will be a .tth.

Use it to open each texture file (which is the .ttz file), and convert it to a .tga.

The new file will appear in the same folder as the file you are converting. Then do your editing to it, and save it as a .dds file. You can use something like Paint.Net to save it to that format.

Now to go back to the VPK Tool, and open the .dds file you made, and convert it to at .ttz. It will automatically create its partner .tth file in the background.

I used this to change the hair color of a Selene from Underworld mod, to make her blonde. I might use it to play January.

I started a new VtMB game. This time I am playing January as a Brujah. This will be my first time playing more than the little bit of the game with that clan. I modded out Presence from the disciplines they get, and replaced it with Fortitude. That makes her an unarmed wrecking machine.

The tutorial required me to use Presence at one point however. I literally could not continue without it. So I had to use the console to add it at rank 1. I have not used it since then however.

I also decided to use the vanilla skin after all. But I did change the hair to blonde.

Ok, I just tried extracting a file. Open VPK, go to the VPK Extractor tab. Then navigate to your Vampire directory is. It has all the .vpk files.

Pick one, and it will give you a list of the files inside. Select one, right click, and click on Extract. It extracts it to the same sub folder in your game as the shown in the VPK tool.
