Listened to and watched a filmed concert performance of Mozart's Concerto No.10 for 2 Pianos and Orchestra, Lahav Shani piano/conductor jointed by Yuja Wang piano. I hadn't heard this piece in ages. Decades prolly.

Also heard, the audio portion of a live concert performance of Beethoven's Piano Concerto No.5 "Emperor", with Ronald Brautigam as soloist on modern piano rather than fortepiano, Lahav Shani conductor.

Last but not necessarily least, Mr. Brautigam again, this time on fortepiano, in an audio only recording of the first movement of Beethoven's Piano Sonata No.8 "Pathetique". (This is almost certainly taken from the full performance that appears on Brautigam's complete Beethoven sonatas SACD set.)

Was feeling nostalgic so Khajiit decided to play the album Widow's Weeds by Tristania during his commute. Good stuff, if you like dark, symphonic metal.

I'm listening to the soundtrack to Superman the Movie, the disk are getting old so it might be time to find the digital soundtrack on Amazon.

I've gone back to listening to the soundtracks of several video games. Lately it has mostly been tunes from these tracks:

Turok: Dinosaur Hunter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RxhJVhH7A0

Quake 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jY6yBTYxLko (Descent into Cerberon in particular is sooooo good)

Mirror's Edge: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y05wiQQbFLU

Unreal: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9IISjIMpepo (probably my favorite soundtrack ever)

Divine Divinity: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-pVdCtm44fg

I love the Quake 2 soundtrack. I used to play it as background music during combat back in my old pen and paper RPG days.

The major thing that sucked about playing Quake 2 was that the music did not automatically work for whatever reason. Same thing for the original Quake. I have them both on GOG, but I believe their Steam versions do the same thing. I didn't really feel like messing around and doing whatever was needed to make them work, so I just played the games. It was actually interesting and still a lot of fun to play Quake 2 without music, but playing with it on would have been so awesome.

I guess that is one of the good things about the old days when games were on cds. I would just put my Quake 2 cd into my boom box and play the music whenever I wanted.
