I've been playing for like 24 hours and im a level 10 battlemage. This is so much fun, i cant believe i stopped playing to write this.
I've gotten up to level 6, levelling was sort of a background issue for me, I only wish to be as skilled as necessary to complete the duty at hand.
I only played for 2 days before LOSING my cd.
But at this point I'm at 7.
Been playing for 2 days and im level 8 just bought some furnature for my house
This game seems easier than Morrowind. 2 days and you're already level 8? I've played 8 hours and I'm already level 3.
1 x-x
yea, seriously, you lost the CD. How in the world is that even possible
im on level 1, and proud of it! i havent gone on it that much because i have other things to do, and when i do go on it ive been just looking around places really.
well, actually i should be level 2 but i cant find a bed to use right now...
there is a crack just go find it and you can play the game still, and I wouldn't consider it a morally bad thing since you did PAY for the game.
I've played one day, i'm only lvl 2... yes sad
Yes check this site http://m1010.gamecopyworld.com/games/pc_the_elder_scrolls_4.shtml
and what is the maximum lvl?
I just reached lvl 5 with my sneaky battle mage archer
What do you mean bending the rules a bit?
Im still level 0 because I dont have the game yet
I'm a level 8 male nordic "Sentinel", my own custom class which uses Blade,Block,Heavy Armor, Athletics, Speechcraft, Mercentile & Security.
I don't understand how speechcraft works though rofl!
My character is level 6.
My thief (although I wished i had made him an assassin once i joined the Dark Brotherhood that is ;p not having blade skill is bad D:) was lvl 13 but i deleted all my save games and am gonna remake as an assassin
I have a sort of archer who isn't afriad to throw a fire ball or bring out a sword, and I am having a lot of success with him. He's a level 2 dark elf.
Lvl 3 and i've played all weekend (leaving about 8 hours for sleep overall )
I've been playing the game alot too. It's usually 1 PM to 5 AM if I don't spend time with my girlfriend. I have been doing that alot too. I don't want to forget about her. <3
1) Girlfriend
2) Oblivion
3) Family
4) Myself
Well, i have just reached level7 with my female mage....going around in nasty dungeons and ruins, for nearly the whole time....several hours a day, gets you to level 7.....but I am starting to have problems now...I need to do quests soon.....and I need a house to dispose of my big luggage of loot..
10 PM to 5:21 AM @_@, time for sleep..
My Assassin is currently level 14...I'm really enjoying how the game is set up. The Dark Brotherhood quests were amazingly well-written, but I'm not a fan of the "Robin-Hood-y" Thieves' Guild. I just wanna kill peoples, I suppose. I'm gonna need to buy a house, soon, as well, so I can drop some of my stuff and I have quite a few ideas for decorating, hehe.
I am level 22, yes I typed that correctly, 22. I have a LOT of free time. Want the skills?
Blade (Master), Block (Soon to be Journyman), Light armor(Almost Expert), Destruction(Apprentice(Damned lack of trainers!), Athletics(Journyman, or is it expert?), Acrobatics(Journyman), Security(Expert due to an uber item, other wise journyman). Yeah I am a fast leveler, so what?
When I voted I was level 19, but as I type I'm actually level 22. My playtime runs to close 30 hours, thus it's approximately one level every 1h 20min (rather fast huh?).
Still I haven't powerleveled in any way, my main skills are Blade, Heavy Armor, Armorer, Destruction, Restoration, Alteration and Block thus none are of the power-leveler sort. I guess it was just easy.
Although I've pretty much come to a place were my leveling has become an obstacle. The enemies are suddenly a lot harder and I haven't progressed very far in any quest-branches to have specifically good gear. I guess I'll have to raid some ruins or similar without leveling too much before continuing with the main quest (that has become just too hard to go on with).
I just finished the Cheryondyl Oblivion Gate. I'm a level 7 Nord Barbarian. <3
I am a lvl 17, im also guildmaster of the fighter's guild and grand champion of the arena....ive wasted most of my time on these....not even done with main quest yet
My Xbox 360 broke in early March.....still haven't gotten in back yet either but I play at my friends house from time to time and Im level 7 now lol
lvl 21 battle-mage
dude guys im lvl 38 and the key to lvling up is when u see that u need to rest and meditate on wat uve learned message u never rest u lvl up alot more things like ur major skills and then when u eventually sleep, u need to sleep more than once and u will lvl up way more than usuall
29lvl
Level... 48!
Easy, just do some running, some casting, some jumping. Sooo Easy!
The Oghma Infinium helps a fair bit too.
OB has a very frustrating training system...
So "resurrect thread," IS an effect in Oblivion?
At any rate, when this thread was made, I believe my only character at the time, my mage Rallahn, was level 3. However, by now, they're level 21, though they're perhaps one of the oldest Oblivion characters at existence, having logged a little over 367 hours of play time.
It stopped being quite so fun when, past about level 11 or so, enemies started getting harder, as having more than 100 in a skill had no effect, and that was the point I reached 100 in destruction.
Also, I never touched the trainers, once. I didn't like them at all in Morrowind, and I didn't touch them with that character in Oblivion. I do, though, like how they balanced things out a bit more; you have to acomplish a skill-related task first before the master trainer will train you, and even then, capping it at 5 skill points per level is a good solution to prevent "uber-training" as well.
Level 18 or 19 Mage/Ninja character. I don't really keep track of my levels... I thought I was level 13 when I was level 17
Closed far too many oblivion gates for my own good, got level 100 conjuration even though it's not a major skill (what can I say? I love watching my lich beat the living daylights out of anything that moves) and I recently decided to train hand-to-hand after watching my cousin playing on his hand-to-hand charater - it looks so fun to pummel daedra to death with your fists! Only problem with that is that the enemies are a bit hard for my lowish-HP mage to be beating to death with her fists.
I'm a level 18 Battlemage. Funny, leveling up was really hard for me during the main quest, after I finished it, during one week, from level 11-18. Great, I level up like crazy AFTER the Oblivion crisis. Took me about 3 weeks because it was my last month of class...so...yeah. I am obsessed with Conjuration, I enchanted all of my stuff for intelligence just so i can make my lich last 50 seconds, that's right, I have a lich that last 50 seconds.
Well I have been playing the game for like way to long, so long that i am Arch Mage, Arena Champion, and The Gray Fox. I am like high in the dark brother hood but i kinda stopped with that guild once i got shadowmere. But the level I am at right now is level 32.
Lvl 32. Over 200 hours of play in less than a month.
Yep, you geused it, I have way too much free time, way too much.
Thats actully verry sad when you think about it.
So verry verry sad.
Well ... I' haven't got around to getting oblivion yet (depressed)...
I finished the Oblivion Main Quest at lvl 36 with my Assassin/Thief. Just like in Morrowind I decided to try to do everything fitting to my character before finishing the main quest. Archers don't really do tonnes of damage even with an enchanted Daedric Bow, but the paralyzing is mighty helpful. If you have alchemy as one of your skills, it doesn't take too long to level up, that and Sneak, since now it's fast enough to travel normally with it.
I'm sure most would consider this cheap, but I rapidly leveled up my latest character this weekend. Starting fresh on Friday, I hit level 33 by Sunday. I'm playing on the 360, but I used an item duplication glitch to keep my gold around 10-20k.
I used trainers for every level. I maxed out five of my seven major skills (Armorer, Athletics, Blade, Block, and Heavy Armor) and I didn't touch the two others (Marksman and Restoration). I used several of the minor skills to round out level multipliers though.
I kinda wish I hadn't taken the Warrior birthsign. It really only helped me max my Endurance quickly, but I should have taken the Thief instead so my Luck could have slowly kept up.
I've maxed my character's Strength, Endurance, Agility, and Speed. Intelligence, Willpower, and Personality are in the low 30s, barely touched. Luck just broke 60 a couple levels ago.
All of that aside, it's really sweet tearing up my opponents with an Armorer-enhanced Goldbrand. I plan to eventually make four Daedric Longswords with Transcendant Sigil Stone-powered Fire, Shock, Frost, and Damage Health enchantments. They'd actually be more powerful than Goldbrand. I'll carry Umbra as a back-up to fill my Azura's Star or the handful of Black Soul Gems I carry.
Once I get the Oghma Infinium, I'll duplicate it (if possible, which I think it is) and use it max out my Magic potential, just for the hell of it. I prefer combat.
Currently on my second character as the first character I made was not working out like I wanted. But I've got a level 18 Mage (has about 55 hours of playtime at this point) and I've done more misc quests then anything. I've done a little of the main quest (closed the first gate) and joined the mage guild. Other then that it's all misc quests for the most part, I do only have one recommendation quest left for the mages guild. Just taking my time exploring and having fun. I'm not using the dupe glitch as to me that defeats the purpose of playing the game in the first place.
The point of the game? I thought the point of every game was entertainment. If that's the case, I'm still very entertained, even if I have to dupe to get myself the sweet character I've been wanting.
Whatever makes you happy and enjoy the dupe glitch while you can. I'm sure the next patch will fix the dupe glitch on the Xbox 360 and since you have to have the newest patch to get the newest DLC you will have a choice to make. No patch means no new content or get the patch and forget about the dupe.
Well it seems that im very unique... im the only one here who has reached lvl 74. It just shows how far you can get if you try. So far i have 64000 odd gold, clocked the main story and I struggle to fight a bandit... I dont understand why they would do this leveling thing unless they were sure it was the best way to attract new fans... but it made me hate the game + dont forget the compass. You want to know how I got this far, its simple, ive played for exactly 2 months on end. So i guess theres a lot of noobs here or im just good...
Now i'm a lvl 56 knight. A dunmer called Arven Falom. When I think that the situation is
critical I say "I'm a knight. I'll never give up!"
I use this in the real world too!
I'm at level 9, I finally bought the game two days ago.
As of right now, I have two level 28 argonian warriors (one male, one female) but I'm only using one right now.
i have a level 18 custom class breton "dungeon hunter" who was basically designed to go into dungeons and get out alive with profit.
his skills (if i recall) include
LIGHT ARMOR (doesnt weigh much)
ALTERATION(for levitating, shields, water breathing, opening locks, feather, and all taht good dungeon stuff)
RESTORATION (so i get out alive!)
ALCHEMY (so i dont need to buy potions plus its profitable and easy to level up, and then theres making poisons, which is just plain fun )
BLADE (needs no explanation)
MERCANTILE ( to sell my.....findings.)
ARMORER (armor degrades fast in a dungeon)
yeah that may have been a little over kill, but its a cool class
"im the only one here who has reached lvl 74. It just shows how far you can get if you try. So i guess theres a lot of noobs here or im just good..."
one i have never heard of some one getting past lvl 53, and two u have no life. u must have like 2400 hours on your char.
First of all, I know for a fact the max is not above lvl. 55, so no, I don't think you guys got that high. Unless you used an external mod, or cheated or something.
As for my character, level 29 custom class. (Long blade, Block, heavy armour, Marksman, Restoration, Mercantile, security. Something similar anyway.)
The maximum level without exploiting certain game features is 525 skill advances, or, level 53. Using a certain well known exploit, the limit is much higher. I've heard 255 but I won't vouch for that number.
I haven't bothered making a high level character yet but I'm assuming the jail thing is still the way to get to above max levels. For anyone who doesn't know, the jail thing means going to jail, no tricks or anything, going to jail will lower your skills allowing you to raise them up again.
So what do you do? Become a repeat criminal and keep raising each time you get out? A career criminal ... never tried that in MW.
My female Redguard is currently at lvl 7! I deleted all my other characters because i didn't like them. Do any of you find that you also delete a lot of characters.
I don't really commit to singular characters, and my RP characters don't level very often, as many of them aren't career adventurers. But my highest is maybe.. early 30's.
Treinta y cinco
That's 35 in mexican right?
*cough* It's spanish *cough**cough*
Darn colds!
My strongest character is level 45. He's a Breton Battlemage.
at the moment im level 15
lvl 17 ranger baby, ooooooooooooooooo yea
I have a few characters above 20. My main is a level 41 Altmer an the rest are mostly in late 20s/early 30s. The way I did it was by getting addicted to the game
well, I got several characters (2 actually). My nord berserker is lvl 18 or 19 (can´t remember) and my breton warlock is lvl 30.
My character's a Lvl 37 Nord guy named Losgord, and I've basically done everything in Cyrodil so I'm in the Shivering Isles now. Problem is his magicka's absolutely pants (what you'd expect from a nord) and I regret it now because magic becomes really useful in the latter levels of the game. However, he is a master in blade, heavy armour, armorer, and security (thaaannk you skeleton key!)
Since I've got kinda' bored with him now I've got a new mage character named Illydoor to see if a magic-base char is better.
My redgaurd is a level 33, my khajiit is a level 2.
I've been playing this game for 2 years, and yet, i'm still not sick of it. something must be wrong with me.
i think the highest i've ever gotten was a level 34 with a khajiit character that no longer exists..
the highest ive ever goten was level 50 i couldnt get any higher because all my major skills where at 100 i named him Syndelius and hes a dark elf my major skills are
acrobatics
athletics
heavy armor
light armor
sneak
security
blade
20+ I used to play a lot.
Ever since I've started playing, I've had at least fifteen characters. I usually start a fresh one at level 10-14.
My highest level was like, 100 because I was cheating a lot.
-Liam
46. I'd be higher but on a 360 it starts to get boring.
Lv 43. And Fishy's right. It does get boring after you complete all the quests.
I usually only play a character for a few months before moving on to something different, so I never get uber-high level. The longest-running character I have played so far was my Dark Seducer Aerin, who was level 27 when I finished playing her.
The highest level I have ever gotten one character to was my first - level 43 on a 360. The hard drive crashed and I lost her. Since then I rarely get up to 30 before starting another game.
My char is level 20. She has four major skills she will never touch, so despite her almost 500 hours of play, she is forever young. She very rarely does an actual quest, instead focusing on things that respawn or regenerate.
Having played many characters in the past, I just never tire of this one. Should she someday believe she has run out of things to do, I would help clear her memory and start her anew.
Level 53, though I haven't yet used the Felldew exploit (and possibly might, to allow my enemies to get the advantages of some good leveling).
Everything is pretty much maxed for a Breton of a custom class. At this point, I am susceptible to:
Arrows
Projectile traps
Crushing/spiky/unpleasant impact traps
Lava
I currently have 2 characters active. I play DID (Ironman) style. My Dunmer is at Level 9, and my brand new Bosmer is at Level 1. The highest I have ever made it (remember, I play "Dead-Is-Dead") is Level 21.
Most of mine (There's 4 main ones) are around 35-45...The others are in the 20s...
My Dunmer Myrin got level 38 after just a bit short of 90hrs. Just now getting to the MQ, as this is my first 'full' run of the game so I'm looking into everything. Probably return to the save out of the tutorial after she finishes everything to make the 'official Myrin' game.
Level 38? You are going to have a gauntlet to run. The MQ gets harder the higher level you do it at. It is going to be all Spider Daedra and Xivilai for you. Worse, trying to keep people like Baurus and Jauffre alive is going to be extremely difficult.
*Wails*...
My Argonian J'Drell just finished the MQ, he's level 39 now...Aaaand Baurus and Jauffre died outside the Bruma gate...Unfortunately no-one seems to want their Katanas back at Cloud Ruler Temple...
Currently leveling up my Bosmer Wench Aeirawen...She's level 9...Aww, bless her...
Riftens level 20 and I have been playing for 1000+ hours, I'm not leveling up anymore at that point it gets me very annoyed.
Level 50, although I wish I had stayed at 20-ish. No real point going beyond that level. But back then I didn´t know any better...
