Your character(s) in Today's World, What would they be here on Earth? Options

We've got several folks playing Oblivion these days here at Chorrol: what would your characters do and be if they were here on Earth? I made a thread like this several years ago. So I will talk about my four active people now.

Snaat Rayag would be just what he is in Cyrodiil: a drug dealer, but not the sort we see nowadays; wearing hoodies and standing on some corner in the bad part of town. He'd wear nice clothes, spend money on BMW's and Benzes live in a nice (but nondescript) home in the suburbs, Tony Soprano-style. Or maybe he'd also have a corner apartment which overlooks the harbor. He makes a lot of money, but he also burns through it all just as quickly. But the thing is, all the money he makes doesn't require the danger of going into some holes, killing monsters.

He'd be a gambler (Arena in the game). Frequently he'd be seen in whatever casino is nearest. He never resorts to stealing, which even though that's a criminal activity, he does not see his 'trade' as being criminal. Maybe he'd be a pimp as well. 🦯 👒

He'd have a rap sheet, as occasionally he does get caught. There are no lawyers in Cyrodiil, but he'd take full advantage of lawyers if he lived here on Earth for sure! Money's no object. Therefore, he'd only do as minimal time in jail as possible.

He'd carry a gun, too. And would not be adverse to using it, if need be.

Finally, he'd have a softer side. Unlike some of my others, Snaaty hasn't got any qualms about sharing his life with that special someone. It's just that so far, he hasn't met her yet. Not long-term, anyway.

Lady Saga, aka Aerin of Valenwood, could be anything from a park ranger to a hunter to a botanist. Whatever she'd be, she's most comfortable with being outdoors. Living off the land, though she's not adverse to dealing with civilization occasionally for supplies and such.

I honestly think she'd still wield a bow, it's such an ingrained facet of her everyday life. She'd be a natural at befriending and taming animals, too. She'd be adept at horse riding, but would also own some sort of off-road vehicle like a Jeep or a pickup truck.

Did I mention she'd live by her archery skills? There we go.

Joan of Arkay would be in the military for sure. But she'd also be heavily religious. Probably Christian, as she's a devout follower of The Nine in Tamriel. As a crusader (Paladin) in the world of Cyrodiil, her entire adult life has been involved with the Imperial Legion, Fighters Guild, Mages Guild (though she doesn't do their quests) but also she's got a personal vendetta against criminals and lowlifes. Anybody non-righteous, who attacks her or ordinary citizenry first, will get a dose of Joanie.

Horse Riding would be one of her pastimes. - Based in spirit on our Joan of Arc, the in-game Joan'd be a natural-born leader, too.

I think she'd be my greatest candidate for timelessness as well. Like, she'd feel as comfortable living in Middle Ages Europe as she would in our 21st Century world.

Renee Gade III is the hardest to determine, I think. Hmm. Because she's such an iconic gal. Sort of larger than life. As the granddaughter of the Savior of Tamriel, saving the world is in RG3's genes, although there isn't much for her to save in Fourth Era Cyrodiil.

Like Joan, RG3 is somewhat religious, though she's not nearly as devout. She sees The Gods in a "if you can help me, I'll do X" sort of way, but she doesn't just devote her entire life like Joan does.

She'd have some acrobatic qualities.

She's also very social. Rarely does things alone. She enjoys doing things to benefit citizens of the Empire.

She constantly surrounds herself with other talented persons, picking them carefully as she moves along.

She'd have a vague 'friendship' with a silly, blonde-haired artist which occasionally borders on more than friends, though nobody knows for sure.

Honestly, I think she'd be Xena!
