Last night I created Persephone in Fallout 3, and played her through the tutorial/Vault 101. Now that she is out in the world comes the really hard part. What to wear! laugh.gif

Her Armor is down to four options.
From left to right, Stealth Mk II, Winterized Combat Armor, Winterized Recon Armor, Winterized T-45 Power Armor. Right now I am leaning most toward the Power Armor, with the Winter Recon taking a close second.

For weapons, I have the Zweihander on the left, and Daikatana on the right

Or the Bumper Sword / Sword of the East (the only difference is a license plate on the back of the Bumper Sword)

I am planning to tinker some more with the Zeihander's texture, to see if I can make it more silver-gray. I like the look, but the current color is too dark. The Daiakatana looks good in this pic, but it is ridiculously long when you view it in third person from behind. It is like Sephiroth's sword. Finally the Bumper Sword fits the universe best, being from FONV, but I am not sure if it is fancy enough for Persephone.

Yay for Persephone! I like the winter recon armor best. I like the daikatana but could see what you mean about how long it is. The prob with the zwei for me is that I don't care for the wavy blade. Good luck to her!

I worked on the Zweihander texture, removed the gold, and made it a standard grey-silver steel color.

There is a straight version of the Zweihander

And the Flamberge version with the updated texture

Here is an example of the Daikatana from behind

That Straight Zwei has definitely won me over out of the original contenders. But I just did some more searching (on the word 'blade' this time, instead of 'sword'), and now it has two more contenders.

The Secret of the Silver Blades Greatsword has a lovely curved crossbar and sunken ricasso. But the texture is rather bland.

But the Epix Greatsword has an amazing texture for its blade. I don't like the grip though, it is too long.

Yay for post-apocalyptic Persephone!

I’m late to the party, but I love her in the Winterized Combat Armor and the Winterized T-45 Power Armor. I like the color of the Power Armor on her the best, but the shape of the other one is my favorite.

I love the Epix Greatsword even with the extra-long grip. Its heft balances the armor’s big shoulder pieces, and the texture is gorgeous.

It’s so fun to watch Persephone’s new look come together! happy.gif

Good point. The straight zwei might look better with the Recon.

I think Grits is right, in that the extra thickness and heft of the Epix complements the bulk of the Power Armor. Likewise the thinness of the Zweihander works best with the Recon Armor. So I have it down to two combos:

Zweihander & Recon Armor

Epix & Power Armor

I think what I will do is start the game with the Recon & Zwei, and then when she gets higher level upgrade to the Power Armor and Epix sword.

This also beings me to the next conundrum. What to use as a backup weapon, for those rare occasions when the living dead girl cannot come to grips with an opponent. She is not a sniper, so a short ranged weapon is in order.

I was going to use a shotgun, but it is just too brown. She needs something that is greyer, more monotone. A .44 Magnum is one thought, but a lot of my characters have used that already. I was thinking maybe a minigun instead. I am going to have to experiment with different guns and see how they look.

I like the recon armor and zwei. The other armor has so very much mass to it. . . .

Ranged attack? Do they have crossbows? tongue.gif

TBH, I have considered trying to port the throwing knives and spears over from FONV.

The mini-gun is a good fit

But I am a sucker for the classics - an MG42

She looks the best in the Winterized Recon Armor, I never liked Power Armor so IMO you can't make a character look good in it. tongue.gif

Wow, the Minigun suits her perfectly as the two were meant for each other. As for blades, I'd go with the Bumper Sword.

Ooops, forgot to reply to this. Persephone is my Living Dead Girl. She was a human, born into Ayleid slavery. She joined Alessia's revolution, and was killed in the battle to take the Imperial City. She was reanimated there by a human mage who was looking for a way to cheat death. He replaced her heart with one of Varla stone crystal, and it works like one of the Ayleid Wells, drawing in magicka from the stars. That magicka is what powers Persephone.

I first played Persephone in Skyrim, but there is no keeping a dead girl down. She has appeared in Oblivion, Baldur's Gate 1& 2, Neverwinter Nights1, and Neverwinter Nights 2, Wasteland 2, even Links

I also recall you having an Ayleid queen in Cyrodiil - was that Astarte?

I know you have lots of characters! Persephone has become easy for me to remember though. She's right after Teresa and Aela in my 'memorable' book. biggrin.gif

Yes, Astarte is my Ayleid Queen of Silorn from Oblivion. She and Persephone look a lot alike. But Astarte has purple hair, and dresses even fancier!

Today I found the final piece of Wasteland Persephone's puzzle. A Winterized M1014 Benilli M4 Combat Shotgun is just the thing for dealing with those pesky ceiling turrents, not to mention bloatflies.

I like it too, but it doesnīt look like a shotgun. More like a carbine or something mellow.gif

Hey, I never saw this thread! Not that it matters now, but here are my votes:

For armor I like the winterized recon best.

On swords, I love that Daikatana, that is an Awesome looking blade!

Flamberge version seems to just add some intangible improvement over the vanilla, I like it better.

Next two swords - I still like the Daikatana better, but the one with the long grip - in real life that seems like it would be great for bashing when fighting more than one, but don't know if the toons are capable of that kind of action in melee.

Also, since it is a two handed sword - if you grip it with one hand below the other (instead of over the other like is done with most 2H sowrds) - it seems like it would put more strength and leverage behind a connection. (not that something like that would matter in game, though, lol.

Holy Cow, that Minigun is bigger than Persephone! How is she holding it? Huge gun!

Holy Cow, this one is long!

Don't forget that Rome game, she was in that too, wasn't she? Or am I thinking of a different game?

That is the exact order of my most loved of SubRosa's characters; followed by Molly and Annie, lol.

I'm so sorry it took so long to comment this thread, I had no idea it existed till just now!
