It seems there might be proof for the ability to drag bodies (most likely for stealth purposes) while there is no assurance that this isn't a cut scene it may still be done

A knight possibly dragging a burnt body after a Daedric invasion

This may also just be an NPC checking the inventory of a corpse.

From the position the guard is standing doesn't look like he is dragging, but rather checking if the guy is alive or not. And possible checking his inventory to before he might drag him away smile.gif

the ability to drag bodies around would make big sense. i dont see why there should have been problems implementing it into the game - many others have done it before (i.e. thief, hitman, splinter cell). of course, thats just a technical aspect, i dont know about the general design of the game, for many things have to be considered, like AI response for bodies ecetera ...

i like to play stealthy chars, so that would a big plus for me wink.gif

however, the screen, from my view, doesnt actually look like as he is picking up the body. the "just checking the body" theory works better for me wink.gif

considering the fact that the stealth system is redone, I dont see why you wouldnt be able to drag bodies around.

lol, i would drag one on top of a building and throw him onto someone below.

looks like a cheap inventory check stance, or in motion "drag body" where he is bending down to reach it. We won't know until it comes out biggrin.gif

Whatever the case I wish that we will be able to drag bodies. It would make sense stealth-wise.

Like in Splinter Cell, drag them and hide them if we for example had done a crime killing someone wink.gif

Exactly. Or at least sneaking through a cave hiding bandit bodies.

Given the Havok engine, I am very sure it would be possible. However, unless there are specific reasons in the game, like maybe to enhance Stealth or RAI abilities, I doubt it would be important enough to make it into the game. I'd hope that mounted combat would have been a higher priority smile.gif

Yea that looks like he's looting the poor guy more then like dragging him sad.gif

At any rate, I hope it will be implementend nontheless, if it isn't you know what that means - NPC's walking around their fallen comrades and giving you the "who cares" look.

when oblvion was first getting attention, i heard that if a guard saw a dead body that they would go into an investigation of sorts. if this is true then this leads me to believe that you can drag bodies and that getting rid of them wont be as simple as clicking "Dispose of Corpse"

what would be neat is if you had to drag them into a river or stuff their body into a crate or something.

Seeing the Havok, it would be unlogically not to put bodydragging. I think, you'd "kick" it around anyway to hid it. The "devs" would make a loss not to put it in.
"Dispose of Corpse" annoyed, to be true. But maybe now, in OB, if spmeone dies they burry or burn the corpse? Or you throw it into the sea. With the RAI the sharks (if any) might see it as a meal (??).

A lot of us by now probably know he was just mourning over the guy. Still, that doesn't leave out the body dragging hopefully smile.gif

Oh wow, really. i haven't heard about that. It would be amazing if they did have that. make it much more realistic than dissapearing corpses.

Kill lots of people and gather the bodies up in a ditch outside town and see how much you could fill it without being caught devilsmile.gif
