Will you make an Arcanist?, The new class coming soon. Options

Having tested the new class on the PTS, I am thinking that I will not. The class skills depend on building up and spending “crux” which they have chosen to display as green triangles circling the character. I already avoid the Ebon Armory, Worm’s Raiment etc. that do the same, but those have alternatives I can use. The alternation of build and spend constrains the skill rotation, too, and I find that aspect annoying. Arcanists can’t change their class, and just using their passives in a weapon build doesn’t stack up.

I will buy the chapter, to get the Necrom zone, but that might be later, after the price drops.

Acanist is a new class for ESO that will be introduced in the upcoming next Chapter called Necrom.

I have enough Buffy's including a couple that, despite getting a full, fair shot, didn't pan out. So they rest, more or less retired, having leveled everything from mount training to alliance war skills to psijic, undaunted, etc fully up. I have no intent of starting that big grind again on a new character when I have two characters that are fully grinded up that simply need a class change. When/if the game allows class changing, I might consider looking into the Arcanist. Maybe.

I have an Arcanist character concept ready for the EU server crew, but I’m not sure yet about one on the NA server. The Arcanist does not fit naturally into Tamriel to me. I guess that’s kind of the point of the class, though. The circling green triangles are not fun, but other than that I do enjoy the sounds and animations.

On the PTS I revived my Dunmeri pirate Captain Zanimal from TESV as a stam…canist? Starcanist? Starc? Anyway, I got him the ship house and turned him loose in the new zone. He was a ton of fun. So maybe I will make two.
