So I guess me and shogun need to decide on when I'm freeing Veric now eh? If I remember correctly it seems that we were interested in doing it relatively soon, like while they're still in the Imperial City. No one got back to me on that one though tongue.gif

Posted by: ShogunSniper Nov 30 2006, 03:31 AM

im up for it anytime. and no one really answered... i'm assuming that veric was banished to his own domain-thingy? that's what i am putting in the char sheet now..

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Nov 30 2006, 03:37 AM

Yea, from what I remember, he's in his own dimension thingy reading prophecy about the kids.

Posted by: ShogunSniper Nov 30 2006, 03:53 AM

which character is it of yours that is giong to free veric again? not flogir i assume.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Nov 30 2006, 04:07 AM

No, not Flogir. An Altmer by the name of Voltar is in the midst of figuring out how to release Veric.

and where might Voltar be at the moment? i have a character who has dealt with veric who is not trapped in another dimension that may find voltar.. or not *shrug*

Voltar's hideout is a little shack along the western coastline, North of Anvil.

Sadril may pay a visit if you don't mind. it won't be for a little while real time though. writing a Veric post.

Since we didn't have Rann raised by Sadril as planned, we're just going to have to schedule a meeting.

Just wondering - should Hecate escape from the Imperial Prison (since that's most likely the place where he would end up, if not executed) and maybe manage to come in contact with Veric as soon as he has come free?

Already thought of a classic escape seen for Hecate - Sorry, won't be a Prison Break, the Imperial Prison... tongue.gif

He's 54 now though, so I'll post in character thread if everyones alright with it. The group, especially Flint will be like his arch-enemy type of thing tongue.gif

Posted by: jack cloudy Nov 30 2006, 09:58 PM

Oh yeah, definitely. I would love to get Hecate back. All those times he tried to off Flint were hilarious. smile.gif I do suggest you read the character thread though. Flint has a few new tricks up his sleeve.

Edit: I do suggest that Hecate is in prison for either business or a new crime. I don't think they'll wait twenty years with execution. Not with every guard running around in armour with a Broadsword.

Posted by: Fuzzy Knight Nov 30 2006, 10:29 PM

I'll see if I can come up with something. Maybe he was just chained deep inside the prison for life, for some that's worse than a execution..

Posted by: Lord Revan Dec 1 2006, 02:04 AM

Well, the Sil has sent Karn to kill Chan. Ocato, and Green-Root to gather the pirates to attack Bravil and Leyawin. As for what he's doing personally...... only Florodine knows.

PS: Karn's loyalty to the Silhouete is not as strong as it appears, Virec could persuade him to fight for your cause

Posted by: ShogunSniper Dec 1 2006, 03:45 AM

ah i see. it would seem my return (and now veric's) have coincided with a sub-plot of sorts? i havent fully read through the THiH II threads yet, simply skimmed.

Posted by: Dantrag Dec 1 2006, 03:54 AM

You do know, then, that Veric's main goal now is the vacant emperor's position?

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Dec 1 2006, 03:54 AM

Yea, it's a sub-plot of sorts, something to distract our heroes while we tried to figure out when to release Veric.

Basically, a powerful (and secretive) being known simply as The Silhouette, has amassed an army in the mountains, as his call attracts those with evil in their hearts. Though some evil beings obviously have the mental capacity to resist this attraction (Voltar, likely Veric and Sadril, and Karn for example).

Now with Veric released, we can figure out some different ways of incorporating whether Veric will be against the Sil or neutral or possibly make use of him or whatever.

Right, Ocato still holds the executive power, and sucks at it. The Empire is pretty much failing.

huh?

anyway, veric was unaware of the empire's condition until my last post. now he has an "why not snag emperor along the way?" approach.

i still haven't fully come up with a 'prophecy' that these no-longer children are supposed to prevent/fuel though... kvleft.gif

Posted by: Dantrag Dec 1 2006, 04:35 AM

I left it vague for a reason. It fits the story as long as you don't give out its exact words. Basically, there are different possible endings in the prophecy, each one centering on the actions of the three; they can all help or harm, or they could even ally themselves on different sides. So he may not want to kill them, if it guarantees his ascension, but he doesn't want to risk them stopping him either.

Posted by: ShogunSniper Dec 1 2006, 04:40 AM

by ascension you mean to the throne correct?

there would have to be a deeper motive however. something greater gained by becoming emperor through the use of three.

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 1 2006, 04:44 PM

Perhaps the power of the Aedra? Martin turned into an incarnation of Akatosh if I read through the threads on this forum correctly. Hey, more power is always a nice thing. Especially since Akatosh is the lord of time. Time is a great power to command.

As for Green-Root, I'm going to wait a few Rp-days till I think he's had enough time to organize the desired attack.

Posted by: minque Dec 1 2006, 08:54 PM

Oh dear oh dear.....so much happened while I was away..hmmm gonna start catching up then. Satyana sticks with Rann and Jonathan....of course she helps Jon! But I´m not really sure what they´re up to just now. That Library.....why do they have to go there? I haven´t really understood that part. And will Satyana also go with them? Someone just enlighten me a tad? please...

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Dec 1 2006, 09:10 PM

They're going to the library to look for a certain word that Dalrus discovered, Moldaire, I think the word was. Basically, it's a word that connects to the Silhouette and his minions. But that's about all I know about it.

Make use of him, hardly! Why would the Silhouette work for Veric, remember Veric is the strongest spell caster in Tamriel, but the Sil is not from Tamriel. Its not really a sub plot, more of a co-plot

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Dec 2 2006, 02:45 AM

I was simply just tossing out ideas, I figured that one wouldn't be a choice though tongue.gif

But it would be a good idea to figure out how Veric and the Silhouette will interact with each other.

best spell caster in all of tamriel is simply a title. and i may have no right to tread here seeing as i have been absent but when the rp was originally created there was no plan for a 'co-plot'. of course i speak of the first rp, this is THiH II and i was not around when it was created *shrug*

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 2 2006, 08:49 PM

I'm not worried about Sathyana. After all, there are multiple solutions to the phrophesy and Veric would probably love the irony of using one of the kids for his own goals. biggrin.gif No, I'm worried about Flint. He's too old to put up a fight against a big baddie like Veric.

Don't forget that the oldtimers were the ones who sealed him. He might want revenge. Especially if revenge is easy.

20 years is a long time.. long enough for a good mage to master a counter against a certain spell that doomed him? we'll see eventually biggrin.gif

anyway if he recognized any oldtimers i doubt he would do anything. you all so easily assume he heads to the bloated float out of shear coincidence. cool.gif

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 2 2006, 09:23 PM

I believe that everyone is leaving for the library. So it is more likely that they are just outside the Bloated float and walking away than sitting inside and talking. Ok, I'll make a post.

Veric

Veric and Voltar eventually made it to the Waterfront. Outside the Bloated Float a peculiar lot of people stood, among them a young man helping an equally young drunk woman. Veric's pace increased slightly as he walked straight through the lot, rather rudely. He assumed Voltar did the same right behind him.

He entered the Bloated Float, ordered a flin for himself and whatever Voltar would have. "So tell me about your background as a Mage," Veric said to Voltar as they settled in.

Heey...Satyana´s not drunk!!! She hurt her head when Jonathan threw her over the counter!!! biggrin.gif

I'm voting for the * Sodsa's inner deamon(yeah i love that spelloing biggrin.gif) that was locked inside of him when he was just a babe by evil cultists (which was why he was kicked out of the camp, the elders thought that when Sodsa died the deamon would go with him, but Sodsa survived so the deamon lives on, obviously) bursts out and trys to take over everything because the time is right* plan but hey, thats just me and i'm slightly biased toward my char biggrin.gif

pie takeover empire!

2 seconds and even less to type, so hah!

but as far as where we go... i dunno bout you guys... Sadril will prolly go off to find rahvin soon, and veric is attempting to convert rann.

the force in the east needs to be dealt with, both groups see that as a priority so i sense the good may end up working together with veric, although they wont know it biggrin.gif

either way the broader picture seems to ultimately lead up to the silhouette and veric fighting for power... *shrug*

[/crappy summary and inner thinkings of shogun]

And Karn will not have solid alligences with either, but will never aid the party. Also, I doubt the Silhouete's army has discovered the secret dojo located in the same mountain range that they have their camp. So the agents there could be another facter in the final climax........ and their not to be trifled with nono.gif

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Dec 9 2006, 04:44 AM

Posted by: Dantrag Dec 9 2006, 05:59 AM

Shogun, I'm thinking that Rann will join Veric with promises of revolution. He'll stay for awhile, helping to get rid of the competition (silhouette and gang) but will probably switch sides again once actions are taken against Satyana, Dalrus, or any of the others in the group.

I...think we´ll be there pretty soon... tongue.gif Just a few sharkies to get rid of

Didn't see your post in the character thread Jack - I'll post in a moment..

btw, have no idea about if sharks float to the surface or not - but when yo cut open a shark I think it will sink.. lol laugh.gif

Third edit - Jack, is there any pirates left in Leyawiin or did they all head up river?

Posted by: Channler Dec 10 2006, 01:45 AM

I'm about to bash my head into my keyboard..

Jonathans father is a stable master.. he owns a horse farm.. a stable if you will.. Jonathans not gallavanting around for his health hes directing you where to go so that we can get ample supplies and horses for the journey...

I'm trying to tie a few loose ends here but you got to help me..

Posted by: Soulseeker3.0 Dec 10 2006, 07:12 PM

now now, thats so obvious Channler, and its no fun if we can get free horses, but i'm pretty sure most everybody is either heading outside or toward Jonathan's dad's stable

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 10 2006, 08:01 PM

We are on our way, that's for sure.

Fuzzy, most pirates have left though there might be a few drunk ones who were left behind.

Posted by: minque Dec 10 2006, 08:06 PM

Okidoki, then Issac and Satyana will go get some horsies at the stable.....meeting Jonathan again maybe? tongue.gif

Renie and Arco are heading towards Leyawiin, to save what or who can be saved, drunkards or not

Eurod and Galadrile must help that poor guy who´s hanging over their heads....maybe drag some hay-thingies or something he could land on....Otherwise Galadriel better be good at healing....Is she???

well i'm thinkin' about having Sodsa to get pissed and storm off to do stuff... what I have no idea, so he could get ticked at Rann treating Satyana like a kid (yeah stupid but i could happen)

rann seems to independent to really care about something so trivial like that.. but it's danny's character so its up to him.

Posted by: Lord Revan Dec 11 2006, 03:37 AM

Yeah, I just realized that, but he could still just not like Issac as much as he would have.

Posted by: Dantrag Dec 11 2006, 03:52 AM

Rann will probably give him a warning, not so much a 'stay away from her' as it would be a 'hurt her, you die'

Other than that, nothing would really change. Jonathan was different because he moved from Dalrus to Satyana in minutes.

Posted by: Soulseeker3.0 Dec 11 2006, 03:54 AM

and if Sodsa tries to get both.... yeah he'll get hell.... oblivion? i dunno biggrin.gif The Wrath of the divines... yeah, that sounds good

Posted by: ShogunSniper Dec 11 2006, 04:03 AM

soul, unless you actually meant rouge (pronounced rooj), which is french for red, i believe the spelling you're looking for your character would be rogue (pronounced roge)

....ermm yeah... He is Sodsa the red... because of all the battles he's gone through.... yeeaaah. okay i always mess up that word. don't know why but i mean rogue. gotta love French.. which mightexplane why the word looks correct either way. I took some French last year and the year before in High School.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Dec 11 2006, 06:23 AM

Should Flogir be called to Bruma before the trip to Leyawiin or after? Like, it would be quite the trip for Eurod to travel all the way to Leyawiin for the help of one man. Just tossing that out there for ya.

Posted by: ShogunSniper Dec 11 2006, 11:56 PM

just so you know, roleplaying out three days will take quite long time, especially at the pace we roleplay at. and it will be quite boring if all your doing is travelling from IC to Leyawiin. I'd suggest shortening the time to a day, or just a *bang three days later they arrive in leyawiin* type deal

either way, im putting veric on hold for the moment (if you dont mind, metal mallet) and sadril will arrive in chorrol shortly.

Ok, now I'm curious. Who do we know who was Altmer? Umm, there was this one fella in the beginning of To Heir is Human. Esethir or something? Or, hold on for just a second. Someone Rahvin knows very well. Hmm, somehow I think I have to scrap Voltar of the list (Not compatible in the mental department and probably a tad too old.). That leaves, Issac? Too young. Sadril, he's a Dunmer. Veric? Well, he is commonly known as the Breton but with his own shapeshifting he might just pull it off. I don't see any advantage there though. What race was Cerpin before the whole bodyswitching?

Before we make any loyalty changes though, the Altec/Issac situation needs to be resolved. Perhaps Altec simply decides to get out when he sees the whole gang moving?

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 13 2006, 11:02 PM

Ok, either Green-Root moves off on his own for the fast-forward, or he gets persuaded by Arco and Serene to stick around. The last option is unlikely, seeing Arco's (rightful) distrust.

And why is he saying all that? He simply doesn't care what they do but knows that they might be harbouring feelings of vengeance. Telling them where to go is easy and would not harm him in any way.

Unless Green-Root dives off into the river and heads towards Bravil than Arco will most likely follow him - as he surely thinks he gots something to do with this and also (as usual) believes he's been sent to Cyrodiil by Azura to do yet another duty for her although he gives a crap...

But anyway, they'll meet again I guess if he takes off - and Arco and Serene will stay in Leyawiin helping people and maybe heads north and meets the group along the way or something.

I guess I could play Amrita until Tellie returns. Though I'm not too familiar with her background from the previous RP (though she was a baby). From what I know, she was taken by Telina's evil Sister Salina.

Does she need to get involved anytime soon though?

Her last (and first) post was when she walked into the Lokken tavern........ (back in the first playground).

so wait, telina's evil sister took amrita? and then tellie went after them?

Took, kidnapped same thing just different words. Yes, Salina took Amrita from the group at the end of To Heir Is Human I. Telina (and Fervus) have been searching for her ever since (that's a long time to hold a grudge.........)

Posted by: ShogunSniper Dec 14 2006, 05:05 AM

i see... so hunting her down may be a little harder than i thought, though i looked and you were right her last post was in the tavern sadril is at now so i imagine she may be somewhere in chorrol.

she probably wont need to get involved soon, mallet. but eventually she will be needed.

Does this mean I need to bring back Fervus someday? Just wondering. The Lich is very powerful (fireballs and conjuration everywhere. Not to mention healing and a wicked staff) even though he's slower than a mudcrab. I'm afraid he would totally unbalance things.

Dropping of a note here. Minque, in the beginning of Playground 4, Serene had a mental communication with Arco. She said that she'd thrown everything away in order to swim, except her underwear. You might want to plunder what used to be the clothier. Catching a cold is a bad way to start saving the world. smile.gif

All right, I'll keep her on the backburner for now. Just mention in the planning when we get close to needing her. I'll then figure out a way to put her where she needs to be (with respect to the RP at that time).

Ok, so Ian is going to meet up with Serene and Arco. And they both learn about all that has been going on......... aside from what Green-Root has already told them. Which would include Satyana and Rann's health, and also Rann's name.......

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 15 2006, 08:31 PM

Does anyone have an idea about what to do during the long ride to Leyawiin? If they're following the river, they're likely to run into the grounded pirates.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Dec 15 2006, 08:58 PM

We were just playing to skip the trip and have them just end up there.

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 15 2006, 09:02 PM

True, but Ian cheated with a teleportation spell. He's now trying to stir up a conversation with Arco and Serene. If we would skip time right now, the result would be two different time periods being rp'ed at the same time.

Unless they keep the conversation short and along the lines of.
,,What happened?"
,,Leyawiin got burned."
,,Well, don't go. There are some people I'm supposed to meet in a few days. We could use help and you two look capable." Or something along those lines. Ian is telepath like Serene, so maybe they'll stick around because of that reason.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Dec 15 2006, 10:08 PM

True, I guess we'll see how that goes.

Posted by: Lord Revan Dec 16 2006, 12:27 AM

It also depends on when Fuzzy or Minque (I think she dictated control of her characters to Danny, but I haven't seen him yet) decide to get online and continue........

Posted by: Dantrag Dec 16 2006, 06:14 AM

had to work from 3-11:30. not much time to get on here.

that teleportation thing does make it kinda hard, especially with minque not here... I'll take minor control over minque's characters (enough to keep them existing) but nothing so big as an in-depth conversation.

I guess we can just RP the trip up until Ian Serene and Arco get to a stopping point.

Posted by: Lord Revan Dec 16 2006, 07:06 AM

Ouch....... that had to hurt the sleep cycle. Ok, so the rest of the trip can skipped when the conversation is over.

I'm not so sure if I'm the one to talk as I'm guilty of this sin myself, but young Valor seems to be a bit overwhelmingly powerful. Sure, those two lions were easily beaten, but making a whole platoon of lifelike soldiers right afterwards? That sounds a bit too much to me. Unless he's now out of Magicka in which case I think it will be fine. Once again, this is just my opinion and you don't need to change a thing if you believe it is okay. smile.gif

I agree....it´s a bit too much also considering there´s no clue why he wants to get at Serene......I mean she could just enhance the spells and wipe out the platoon as well but that would make no sense to me! If someone´s gonna get for her they better be shrewd and clever instead.....

Hecate is still resting a bit from his escape and fattening up you could say in a small shack in Cyrodiil which is getting burned to the ground, very sure he'll be off soon - but no real place to go atm, but sure he'll try to track up the group for some revenge...

Great, the SIlhouete is back. biggrin.gif Now he.... well, it can tell Karn what to do next. Because Karn has been spending the last few days walking toward that apparition....

if he happenes to still have the fancy amulet veric gave him he could attempt to contact him.

anyway, i wanted to make it so people like serene would not pick up on who veric was so i had him hide his power and identity/thoughts. but i always thought this was cheap, especially for a man of such power so i took it upon myself to balance it with a lack of ability to cast spells smile.gif or extremely powerful ones anyway

the only way anyone could possibly suspect veric of anything are his yellow eyes, which are probably obscured by smoke and ash.

sounds good enough to me

yellow eyes aren't so odd for an altmer though

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Dec 19 2006, 12:48 PM

yeah i could definitly see an altmer with yellow eyes.

Also do you want to have veric appear to dalrus as like an old mage who will teach her to be a master in Mysticism. She is a master of Destruction but not of mysticism and veric would almost try to slowly poison her to his cause

Karn shall approach the Sil now.

Sarin, blade out

Sarin had drawn his father's sword and a beaded ebony necklace with pearls imbeded in them. 'from my father' he said, handing the necklace to serene wlist avoding eye to eye contact, ' he says that he hopes your doing allright, and wishes to you and your daughter's good health' Noticing the fire around them, he replaced his blade with his brush and drew a barrier of ink over the three, bringing the dirt and rocks from the floor over them in a protective barrier. Note-ing that serene was with little clothes, he abruptly turned his head away and used greeting rann as a excuse to look elsewhere. 'Hello there, im Sarin Valor! im a... delivery boy!"

Carlos - just want to point out that Rann is near the Three Sisters Inn and that ain't in sight from the harbor and very little flames there aswell wink.gif

lol - Just noticed I'd forgot to post with Ayesha as well through the whole Bree, Rahvin and Sadril convo. Guess she was too busy eating laugh.gif Face glued to the plate..

Just to make sure, is the Imperial City already being attacked?

Posted by: Fuzzy Knight Dec 19 2006, 09:33 PM

Don't think so - Cloudy is in charge of the first attack on the Imperial City I believe..

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 19 2006, 10:41 PM

Dang, too late to do much. I shouldn't have watched that movie. As for the attack, it is more of a sabotage thing. I'll post the preparations and continue tomorrow.

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Dec 19 2006, 11:28 PM

yeah the attack won't come for a while. Oh and shadowscales are assassins, you were right.

Posted by: Lord Revan Dec 20 2006, 01:31 AM

Shadow Scales are the royal assassins of their homeland of Argonia (Blackmarsh). They are closely tied to the Dark Brotherhood.

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Dec 20 2006, 03:14 AM

yup thats their definition.

Posted by: Lord Revan Dec 20 2006, 04:44 AM

Ok, so the wandering sage is currently in the Imperial City, and might get in Green-Root's way. But she alone probably can't stop fifty-one argonians from sinking the entire Imperial Navy. Karn is going to hunt down the good guys in Leyawiin.

So..... that leaves most of the characters in Leyawiin.....

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Dec 20 2006, 12:42 PM

yup, the imperial fleet is done one of the pirate ships is sunk, leaving quite a bit more but they have to get the fire ship out of the way. Most of the Characters are in Leyawiin, Karn will be soon. So I guess events will take place when Karn arrives and they all fight.

i do not mind, veric may though. he is disguised as a young altmer though, not an elderly one. so there wouldnt be much to go by on his 'mageliness' other than his robes and lack fo weaponry.

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Dec 20 2006, 09:41 PM

oh i meant like he met dalrus once a week at night and he came in a different form, type of thing. He could take the form of this famous mage from years ago who had dissappeared, he appears and dalrus recognizes him from a portait. He tutors her and slowly tries to get her on his side. He sees that she is a master of destruction and has a nearly never ending supply of energy and magic, so he wants to have her as a sidekick. That type of thing

Posted by: Soulseeker3.0 Dec 22 2006, 03:31 AM

Sorry guys, my intrenetz went out so i wasn't able to get on.

Posted by: Lord Revan Dec 22 2006, 05:12 AM

Hello guys, I'm currently at my cousin's house. But fortunately they have a computer I can use. I'll be back home on Monday.

Posted by: Dantrag Dec 22 2006, 05:52 AM

Rann is stuck until veric replies...

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 23 2006, 03:20 PM

So, the Bruma battle. What is the plan? Do you want the city to fall?

Fervus is likely to summon a Winged Twilight and fire a big load of explosions into the enemy. Of course, he can't stop a whole army by himself.

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Dec 23 2006, 03:31 PM

no the reavers will be driven back, and it will be kinda like a rush after them on horseback. So the battle will be won and that way they can move south and unite cyrodiil against the Sil. Yes of course Fervus cannot destroy an army himself because it would not be interesting at all it has to be a close battle.

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 23 2006, 03:37 PM

Ok, so I suggest that you control your NPC army while Fervus lights up some fire. This is also a nice way to make Eurod rather suspicious/interested in his ally as Fervey's Magicka reserves are huge. (Well, that's one of the perks of being a really old Lich.)

Posted by: Florodine of Hlaalu Dec 23 2006, 03:42 PM

yeah i replied, the battle started. For the most part Eurod wouldn't notice it as he is all over the place giving orders and fighting, but he will return and see him firing off blasts and it taking nearly nothing out of him.

**suddenly appears out of thin air and lands hard on a stone table** "What the heck are you trying to do? Oh, wait, you got your spells mixed up LOL! biggrin.gif

Posted by: Fuzzy Knight Dec 25 2006, 11:08 PM

Just wondering guys - when we're all of from Leyawiin... Should the group like split up, sending some to check what they can find in Valus Mountains whilst another goes to check on the Imperial City, as an attack is very predictable?

Posted by: jack cloudy Dec 25 2006, 11:14 PM

I dunno. I know that most people will probably want to stick around Sathyana and while I personally would enjoy the idea of splitting forces during the investigation, Flint promised to protect Sathyana. He can't protect her from the other side of the province. Unless of course he charges Issac with that job.

Flint is a fast traveler, he can check up on the Valus mountains and get back out in one piece without losing too much time. I don't think the Silhouette has any real defenses against a Tarhiel with safe landing and invisibility spells. So maybe Flint should go to the Valus and rendezvous with the rest in the Imperial city later?

I'm off to bed by the way. Feel free to control him when the decision is made and let him bring up this plan if needed.

Posted by: Fuzzy Knight Dec 25 2006, 11:24 PM

Yeah - maybe you could find out something about his strategy and stuff maybe? At least find something interesting that we can work and investigate on, so we don't end up only fighting, although I have no problem with that really tongue.gif laugh.gif
