Seems every time I'm starting a new game or about to start one, I have a dream related to that game.
I was in an ultra-modern building which looked like a cross between the
CSI: Miami workspace and a State of the Art hospital. Everything ultra-clean and modern. Computer monitors, stainless steel tables, stark lighting, and so on.
My red-haired, real-life housemate Karen gave me something and said she had also played Mass Effect. She said something like "You can do anything. You can fight, you can tear apart some grids, whatever. Or, if you just want to find a place to run and hide you can do that too."
That final suggestion, that's me!
In games I can roll with brazen assassins, pretentious heroes, and everything in-between, but in real-life I'm a wimp.
Karen disappeared, and now I was playing the game, except of course, I was actually IN THE GAME.
<--- so that's what I immediately been doing, getting the hell out of the room we started in. All the sudden there was commotion everywhere. People rushing by, loud sounds in other sections of the building, and so on. I didn't want to know any of that. All I wanted to do was get the hell out, if I could.
I kept moving through corridors and room after room. Turns out, the place I was in was really big. It wasn't science-fiction at all, though. I haven't played Mass Effect at all, nor seen much gameplay, but the place was more "ultra-modern Earth" than SciFi. 🔫
As I zoomed through the building, eventually there were less and less people. I finally found a room which seemed pretty quiet, so I went in there, and closed the door. The room was dominated by a large white bed, fully made up.
To the far side of the door was a huge glass door which looked outward to a beachfront. 🌴 There were palm trees and sand. Whatever was happening in the rest of the building, wasn't going on here. I figured I could stay right where I was!
Funny thing is at the end of the dream I realized there was a laptop in the room, and so I started trying to see if I could play Mass Effect on the laptop.
