I'm surprised no one started an E3 2019 thread. So the onus falls on me...uh, I guess.

I watched Bethesda's conference yesterday and have watched some other trailers and such. Some takeaways and things that stood out to me.

1) Deathloop and Ghostwire: Tokyo from Bethesda's conference look quite intriguing, although it would be nice to know what the basic concept is for the latter. Both were only trailers though, but that's fine with me. If they aren't far into development, there is no use or benefit to getting any sort of demo ready just for the sake of E3. Of course, it would still be cool to see gameplay.

2) KEANU [censored] REEVES IS IN CYBERPUNK 2077. Day one purchase! Not really, but on a serious note, I think it's cool that they brought him into the game and it's kind of impressive that his presence in the game didn't get leaked out before the conference. I was already interested in the game either way.

3) I never really was interested in the Watch Dogs franchise, but seeing the presentation for Watch Dogs: Legion that game looks and sounds quite fascinating. If they really do deliver on what they are planning, I will definitely consider buying the game sometime when it comes out. It is going to be a much different game than I am used to.

4) DOOM: Eternal reminds me that I really need to get DOOM (2016) sometime. Hopefully, that will be sooner rather than later, but a backlog of games and real-life obligations are probably going to push that back. In any case, I'm excited to see how DOOM: Eternal does.

5) There were some other trailers so far from E3 that looked kind of cool but none of them have seriously piqued my interest in those games.

6) I almost forgot about a couple of other things from Bethesda's presentation. Although I never played any games in the franchise and don't plan to, it's cool to see such an old franchise such as Commander Keen come back for a modern installment. Also really interested in the new updates for Fallout 76. Now that they have been making strides with that game, I would like to get it sometime.

What about you, ladies and gentlemen? Anyone paying attention to what is going on? What games, etc. really interest you?

If you are an Id fan then this one is sure you loved the BE3 event. dry.gif
Khajiit found the whole event to be very “meh”. The only thing this one was interested in was ESO Elsweyr but this one is already playing that. No Starfield info, only doubling down on that 76 nonsense. Apparently despite the contrition act The Todd was trying to put on, BGS isn’t too concerned with what we think of them. Starfield better be out’frickin’standing is all this one has to say about BGS at the moment.

Also, Cyberpunk will be a day one purchase for Khajiit. That game looks outstanding!

Khajiit is honestly confused about Ghostwire. Why bring those poor folks to California just show off a trailer? This one has no idea what that game is supposed to be about. They could’ve just as well have done a face time with them from their home studio and then rolled the trailer. Doesn’t make sense to Khajiit.

I wasn't floored by Bethesda's conference by any means, but there was some interesting stuff to me. Gotta disagree with you about Fallout 76, but I get where you are coming from. I'm glad they're still trying to make it better. Now was the contrition act a lot about PR? Absolutely. They shouldn't get a pass for it, but I don't think BGS is completely apathetic to what we think of them.

Regarding Starfield, The Todd already said we weren't going to hear more info at E3. While at least they weren't trying to get our hopes up, it sure would've been nice to have something. Not even gameplay, just more on what it is about would have been cool. I don't think that would have been too much to ask for. I also agree with you that it better be an incredible game. Much as I have thoroughly enjoyed BGS products, they do need to step it up quite a bit.

Can't say I care too much about Ghost Recon, but I'm glad you are looking for to it! I also want to get around to playing TES: Blades.

Yeah, I get that it is probably not far enough into development to get a serious look, but it would have been nice to have something about what it really is. At least with Deathloop, we got the basic concept from the trailer. I guess they just want to really amp up the mystery of it all, but I'm with you on that.

Apparently, Nintendo is doing a direct sequel to Zelda: BOTW. Looks like it is going to be quite dark. I don't have a Switch so I can't get it (although I don't think I would be interested enough to get it anyway), but it's neat to see.

Khajiit is very interested in a BoTW sequel (or anything LoZ really), but this one still needs to finish BotW! indifferent.gif
