"Conan! What is best about the current season?"

"To crush your enemies, To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the women!"

When I first saw this thread, I toyed with the idea of making a summer version of that...

Didn't get around to it though *shrugs*

As to the topic: Nothing. nono.gif

I hate summer dry.gif

Thunderstorms.

Agreed! But you got rocked a few days ago didn't you?

I suppose so. Slept through the one early Monday morning. Beat the one Tuesday night home from work (I work southeast from home, the storm was coming up from the southwest) - barely got the car into the garage before the sprinkle turned into a downpour and the wind started gusting. That's the most excitement I've had in a while outside of Skyrim. biggrin.gif

I also like the storms- as long as I am not out in them....

The greening of everything reminds me of my childhood spent among (and up in) the trees. Lots of barefoot summers...

And then, there was the time on the lakes and rivers....

Now- in my older age, the flowers give me great joy.

This will be easy. Summer is my favorite season because....

When I get up at 5:30, it's already warm and I can wash my hair and not freeze.

Speaking of my hair, my curls are beautiful in summer because I can put my product in and leave it to dry by itself.

Tank tops.

I tan quickly and easily smile.gif

Barbeques!

Perfectly ripe avocados are so much easier to find!

Peaches. Watermelon. Shakes from Sonic ♥

I can leave the door open at the office and not freeze.

We rarely get summer storms but I do love when they happen.

What do I love about summer here in the Midwest?

Lightning bugs.

The late evenings and the long twilights.

The smell of freshly mown grass. More enjoyable now that I'm not the one mowing it . . .

Thunderstorms.

I love thunderstorms. I doubt people in Oklahoma or parts of Missouri do though. For some areas thunderstorms mean imminent danger or at least a major potential for it.

Same here. Frost in the morning and cool, crisp air. Can´t complain about that smile.gif

Pumpkins! biggrin.gif I can’t say the air is crisp here yet, but it’s a little less soggy. Pumpkins and fall flowers everywhere.

@mALX

I feel that what you said had to do with dying flowers lol

I like autumn because it's cool, but it's still sorta warm out and the trees are real nice looking during this season. At least until they all die lol

They don´t die. If they did, they wouldn´t come back in spring wink.gif

Mowed the lawn at the cottage for the last time this year. I always get a nice feeling when I mow the lawn wearing a warm jacket while feeling cool air against my face.. happy.gif

My husband sets a cooler of beer on the floor of his mower while he mows.

Today it was 31 degrees (celsius), in SPRING. Early spring too.

It meant I could go swimming though, which was nice.

Vital, I'm envious! It's warm here now too, but heading for cooler weather whereas you're heading for warmer temps. If I had unlimited resources, I'd summer here in the American southwest, then, before Christmas, go summer with our kids and grandies who live down under in Perth! Did I mention I don't like cold weather? laugh.gif

But what's best about the current season? Well, I do like being able to open the house up for fresh air this time of year with the cool nights and mornings. happy.gif

*Shudders*
