QUOTE Anyway, Phsyron ... sell the enchanted iceboxes at your store where you'll sell the food items and people could then put them in their inventory and set them up in their houses or keep them in inventory. {I made a MW furniture store mod once that had that idea and the one peice of advise I can give is leave everything in normal size, don't reduce or enlarge because after you repositions them in your game - they are always the normal size only)
Could be very cool and easy to do. Just gotta find that script now if there isn't an obliv one available. Phsyron is making this mod? Anyways people i need a giganto list of food so contribute what you can and ill worry about the bells and whistles later. Thanks ~Dirox

news to me. maybe you shouldn't neccisarily have a list of foods, but more like a table. like, you can have apple pie, cherry pie, chicken pot pie, sweet potatoe pie, but not corn pie. however you could also have apple bread, cherry bread, but not chicken bread, not sweet potaoe bread, but you can have corn bread. so we have ______________pie____bread apple_________yes____ yes cherry________yes_____yes chicken_______yes_____no sweet potatoe__yes_____no corn __________no_____yes obviously that's not practical to do but that's the way you should be attacking this. if we can get a list of ingrediants together, if people could come up with general types of dishes we could decide which would work and which wouldn't. just a thought

QUOTE lol ... I got everyone mixed up, but you took notice. hehe. Nice list there, the more the better if you have any more ideas, how about pure engreedients like salt&peper, banana ect. Thank you for your contributions, i ask yet again, anyone want to help texture and/or model? Small off topic quetion, sleep mod is all done but now im adding the bells and whistles. I was thinking of making it so that you can't sleep in heavy armor, or at least suffer from it in some way. (sore back or neck defects?) What do you guys think? keep da food comein , im combining them into a big list ~Dirox This post has been edited by Dirox: Jun 6 2006, 10:18 AM

i'd say that sleeping should automatically un-equip all armor (heavy or light) and equip a set of "pajamas" that would just be clothes that are selected somehow. however, when you "pass out" you don't have this luxery, and you would just sleep in your armor. this should definatly have negative connotations. reduced speed, strength, endurace, and agility by 25%, 5to simulate that your whole body is sore and your muscles ache? you could work out these kinks by running and jumping and fighting, so maybe make it time-based? like in a few hours (like six) you're back to normal?

Cool ideas, im not too keep about auto unequiping though, but its a start. Reason being i wanted the player to place his armor or cloaths into the drawers in the Inn =D. It would be kinda cool to be attacked at night and have to quickly grab your sword or bow beside your bed (gives an excuse to wear a dagger to bed, or to carry one at all for that matter). As for the defects, and the passing out in your armor, i agree 25% sounds reasonable, if that. Same defects as if you slapet in your armor by choice, (gota figure the bed too). And um.. ya. Good stuff thx Edit: Logicly speaking, i would think you would only have to equip uper body things to sleep without having kinks in your neck and back ect. such as your body plate, helmet, gauntlets and major weapon. ~Dirox This post has been edited by Dirox: Jun 6 2006, 10:46 PM

one interesting thing would be how much you toss and turn in your sleep, and what position you sleep in. perhaps tie that in with the mod you're doing for player classes? A person who slept on thier back and didn't move much wouldn't need to take thier greives/boots off, where as a person who slept on thier stomace might want to take heavy armor off, but they could keep light armor on, and a person that moves around a lot or slept on thier side would want to take all armor off. also, perhaps the defects should be tampered by your willpower and your skill with the armor you're wearing (considering a master of heavy armor isn't even encoumbered by the armor s wearing, i'd assume he was pretty comfortable in it, and wouldn't need to take it off when he slept.
if you're attacked in your sleep, time should be slowed down (to simulate the adrinaline in your body), vision drastically blured, (because your eyes havn't adjusted) and if it was possible to go first-person and roll out of bed onto the floor, that would be awesome, too.

QUOTE(Dirox @ Jun 2 2006, 04:53 PM) Mind you i havent been able to put much thought into this mod, but as soon as i finnish the fatigue mod, Hunger will be the last part of the realism package, and also the most difficult. i disagree, the most difficult part would be scripting someone actually cooking the stuff on the fire and such, or actually mixing the salad.

would it be possible to make some sort of a "give all" or "take all" button, so before you go to bed, you activate the chest next to it, and place everything in there, then sleep, then wake up and just take all from the chest?
there's a take all, but i don't know if there's a way to "give all"

lately i've been thinking about this "realism mod" and various ways oblivion could have been more "real" and i was thinking that instead of 3 bars there should be six. or at least three with a double bar thingy...hmm...how to explain
has anyone played the new x-men game? the official game?
wolverine's life is set up so he has a health bar that's green i think, doesn't matter, and when he gets hit the removed portion becomes blue...if his bar reaches 0 and it's all blue, then the blue section starts to drop. once the attack ceases, the green part returns, slowly until it fills up the blue part, but now his "total health" has diminished
but once he has a chance to do his little healing thing, the whole thing refills. this is to simulate the difference between "minor wounds" and "major wounds"
so i was thinking that it'd be cool if oblivion had something similiar.
the health would have the dual bar system and most potions would fill the "minor" bar, but a couple pricier onces would fill the major one, and if you didn't eat or drink for a long enough time, youre major bar would drop signifying that you're becoming more and more unhealthy. also, once the minor bar was gone, the major bar would drop faster than the minor, so if your getting your butt kicked at a certain point the damage become much more serious...it's not just scratches anymore.
then for magic, instead of powers being a "once a day" sort of thing, they'd use the top half of the magic bar, which would contain enough energy for several powers to be used, then the bottom half would function normally
then for fatigue, the minor bar would be the same as the existing one, but the major bar would consitute how much fatigue you have, and as the day worn on, it'd slowly diminish. also, if you attempt things like, power attacks or jumps or continued running without any minor fatigue or with a really low athletics skill, it'd drain your major fatigue. and being really hungry would also drain the major fatigue and possibly the major magic too
that way when you get hurt really bad, it stays with you, but you can still bounce back from minor wounds, and when you exert yourself with various magic "powers" you'd run out of steam over the course of the day. maybe using powers diminishes your magic capacity for the day, that might work too. and if you push yourself to the limits physically, and go without food or water or rest, your run out of steam and your bursts of energy become smaller and smaller.
i think overall, if this was done it'd create a highly realistic game
