This missus snapped an excellent picture of Audrey (one of three cats) last night:

Uh oh! Audrey has the big eyes! Don’t mess with a Khajiit when they have the big eyes!

biggrin.gif she always has the big eyes. The only time they're small is if it's really bright in the house.

Audrey is looking a little bit ticked off at the moment; I agree with Khajiit on those dilated eyes equaling a cat that is about to start swatting someone, lol. Awesome shot, what a great photographer your wife is!!!

Nah, she always has the big eyes like that. Of our three cats, Audrey is the most loving (albeit shy) of the lot. She just wants to sit on you and purr 24/7.

Today I had to say goodbye to my Boo Boo puppy. Here is the last pic I had of my three dogs together. Jax died in 2015 (big Bubba on the Left). Dixie in the middle; and Boo Boo on the far Right:

I'm so sorry, my dear friend. You and I have been talking during her illness and I know you really did go above and beyond as much as you could for her so you are right to be at peace with your choices. I know that only helps a small amount though and am sure that you miss her terribly. Don't rush your grief but know that, with time, it will ease. Hug_emoticon.gif

Sorry to hear that, mALX. I know how it feels to lose a four-legged family member. It's never easy.

Thank you all so much for your kind condolences; they are all so appreciated. Boo Boo's illness came on suddenly, and was really unexpected; so I've kind of been in shock by the severity and how rapidly it took a healthy dog down.

Boo Boo was the happiest dog I've ever seen; always wiggling from the moment she saw you or heard your voice; and wagging her tail so hard it would beat against the walls = and she was always smiling. She was full of mischief and took great joy in getting kennel attendants chasing her when she was traveling with me or at the Vet's = you could see the glee in her eyes as she ran from and dodged away from them. Boo Boo loved anyone with a biscuit or bone, and anyone that would give her a treat made a friend for life.

My three favorite memories of Boo Boo:

First was from when we were still living with my X. His house was a long rancher with an open carpeted path from one end to the other. She would get so excited every time I let her inside for her meals that she would run from one end of the house to the other at top speed = back and forth over and over again. As long as you kept saying, "Boo Boo's gone craaaazeeee!" = she would keep tearing back and forth. It was hilarious!

(She couldn't do it here at this house because we had no carpet for her to get the traction and the hardwood floors scared her because they were so slick. = and actually; remembering her making me carry her around this house these past three years because of the Hardwood floors is a memory in itself. She would sit on a throw rug and whine = make me pull her on the carpet to whatever room she wanted to go to, like a queen on one of those mobile thrones).

My 2nd favorite memory: My son's Girlfriend gave Boo Boo a bone 3 years ago; and Boo Boo never forgot it. Whenever she came over, Boo Boo would whine in joy that she was here and wag her tail with such force that it would beat on the wall and sound like a cop was beating on the door or something. If the Girlfriend passed Boo Boo without saying at least "Hi Boo Boo" to her, Boo Boo would whine loudly till she came back and said it.

My third fondest memory is that when she was younger she used to try to say "Mama." (Catahoula dogs are like Besenji dogs in that they rarely bark, but try to "talk" and will try to imitate sounds you make regularly in talking to them).

I would ask her, "Who's hungry? Who wants to eat?" and she would run to the kitchen. Then I'd ask her, "Who's going to fix Boo Boo's dinner? Is Mama fixing Boo Boo something to eat?" And she would try to say "Mama" = it was like a dog whine with a "Wah Wah" pedal on it.

Boo Boo will be greatly missed.

Thanks...Sorry to hear about Boo Boo, losing a fur baby is like losing ones child. I know my Bubbie (Loki) might not be around much longer. I think he's about 13 or maybe 14 years old and his age is catching up to him.
