Not that I've read many books in these games, but I remember reading one called "The Locked Door", it was quite a story and it gave you a point in security.

That would be "Chance's Folly" a rather interesting story that one. smile.gif

I had lots of favorites so I'll just list a few of them.

My personal favorites were: Trap(the story of a thief tricked by his own greed, captured, and forced to become cattle), the Wolf Queen books(though they were extremely hard for me to find), Chance's Folly(just read it, it's quite good) and my personal favorite A Dance in Fire(Just read this one, it's long but awesome).

I actually had...and if I still played Morrowind would still have an odd obsession with the Dance in Fire collection, the first thing I always did was scraped up the money and bought the entire collection from Jabasha in vivec...love those books.

Many of Morrowind's books that costed players alot were worth reading, Bethesda did a great job with most of the writing and reading the books was very enjoyable for me. biggrin.gif

Trap- good twist at the end

Dance in Fire

The Real Barenziah- of course, the ones in Daggerfall were more...interesting.

I also liked "how Orisinium passed to the Orcs" a very well written story about how Lord Gortworg gro-Nagorm won the homeland of his people. It also raises your heavy armour skill. One gripe I have with Oblivion is the fact that almost all the books in the game are from Morrowind. To be honest, apart from "The Argonian Account", "A report: Disaster at Ionith", "Manual of arms and armour", the guides to the cities and some book about a thief in Sutch I couldn't find any new books. It's like they borrowed 200 books from Morrowind and they made only 20 new ones for Oblivion.

Oh, I left out The Axe Man and The Black Arrow books, both had unexpected endings which is what I loved about Morrowind books, they usually had a moral to each story and a surprise that wasn't very predictable. A dance in fire had a very unexpected ending which made it awesome. biggrin.gif

I've found plenty.

Like Theif of Virtue, or Immortal Blood (one of my favorites, heh!), Ahzirr Trajijazaeri (funny happy.gif ), The Legend of the Krately House, Mace Etiquette, The Refugees, etc.

I could go on and on....
