I have been playing Oblivion on the XBox 360 and ran into my first major glitch while doing the Corruption and Conscience quest in the town of Cheydinhal.

When I follow Aldos Othran to his house I get physically stuck in place. Once we get in front of his house the target reticle disappears and I am unable to move my physical location. I can turn and look around, I just can't walk anywhere, access the journal swing a blade, etc. Luckily I can access the save game window and load the game from a previous point. According to the game guide a guard is supposed top show up and have a confrontation with Aldos Othran but he never shows up. What is odd is that all of the other NPCs move as normal so it isn't really a total system freeze. If I don't follow him I can continue on as normal but when I try to go near him, at any point, to continue that quest I get stuck. Has anyone else experienced this?

Moving this topic. All questions with spoilers regarding Oblivion need to be in the appropriate section, okay? Not everyone has the game yet, and we don't want to ruin it for anyone.

Not yet. Have had a few screen freezes from too many hours playing straight (my wife and I in 4-hour shifts), but restart fixes it.

My glitch isn't a complete freeze. I can look around, and save/load games. I just can't move, access the journal, use a wespon etc. I left it on all night to see if the guard scenario would eventually start but when I woke up nothing had changed. Which is surprising considering you have to restart every 4 hours. Do you have an original run XBox 360 or did you get one after they fixed the powersupply glitch?

Sounds like a glitch but I haven't had it.

Had two actual freezups in about 60+ hours of play, including almost 24 hours straight this weekend - both of us have started two characters and settling in to them now (we were just taking turns loading every 4 hours, not restarting).

I was chatting with another player (Yes you can chat, it is in every 360 game) and he said Baurus would not sit down during the quest with him in the Imperial sewers, he had to reload a save several times because of this. But other than that I have never heard of that happening.
