With one last swift pull, he finished the knot just as the sun burst free from the horizon. The Dunmer had not slept well that night, plagued as he was by fear for the ashlands. He knew that they would only be gone for a day or two at most, and that the chance of a repeat of last time's events were so slim they might as well be ignorable. Yet still, cold sweat would break out on his skin the moment he thought of setting foot outside the camp.

"Come on, Eno. This is no time to be frozen by panic. You made a vow and crawling back now is unaceptable. Besides, that bell sounds quite interesting. Surely you would like to see it firsthand, and find the answer to your question of whether there is any magic in this artefact sir Rothan spoke of, and whether this magic comes from the bell itself, or from the music it creates?" He said to himself.

Just to grant himself some more courage, and to see if his plan had worked, he swung the wooden shaft he held around a few times. The idea was born both out of a lack of funds as the simple desire to make something, anything with his two hands. As such, he'd crafted himself a simple spear out of the combination of the short staff he used for walking, wax from one of the two candles he'd requested as a makeshift glue, the broken sword's blade as the tip and finally his family scarf. The end result was an improvisation that would give nightmares to any real weaponsmith and likely to lose the blade within the first three blows. Still, the man was satisfied with the results.
"This should do. The basics of spear usage are easier to master than a sword and put an emphasis on keeping distance as much as possible, both factors I appreciate."

Scarf fluttering in the morning breeze, Eno gathered his belongings and set out to find the rest of the group he would be travelling with.
