QUOTE(Pseron Wyrd @ May 13 2014, 10:51 PM) You want an unpopular opinion? I've got one for you: I think Lady Gaga actually has talent. As exhibit #1 I present this video of her live version of the Gershwin's 1926 song Someone To Watch Over Me. Go ahead and ridicule me. I'm sticking to my opinion. Does anyone think she doesn't? I know people dislike her and think she takes herself to seriously but I don't know anyone that denys her talent. Hell you want an unpopular opinion, One Direction aren't bad anymore. Also I like Train and Maroon 5.

You want a shocker...I agree...I bought the first Train album and have been happy to hear them on the radio down the years since...Bought several singles but never could bring myself to buy the albums... Maroon 5 are pretty awesome really...They got much better with age though...Only bought one album though, the one that that single with Rihanna came off...Again, bought some singles... One Direction...Urgh...Have to disagree, like many of the manufactured boybands, I feel that they were much better when their music is left to the backroom boys, before the band's collective ego gets in the way and they think they can do it themselves...As my career at one point was headed towards the backroom boy end of the music business, I would say that... ...But, I did enjoy OneD's first few singles off that first album... Lady Gaga's awesome...I've loved her from Poker Face...Back when people still weren't sure if she was a bloke or not...I know that my radar was saying that she was 100% woman, but she was the first time I had completely decided that if she wasn't, I, quite simply...Didn't care...Turns out, I didn't have to have all that angst at all... ...Talented and gorgeous...Bless her...And I'm pretty sure, she knows exactly what she's doing and she's having so much fun with it, while she can...And I'm pretty sure that when the "Lady Gaga" thing is done, her name will appear on songwriting credits for the rest of time... QUOTE(McBadgere @ May 14 2014, 08:18 AM) Katy and Gaga are well enough, decent heads on their shoulders...There's no hope for Miley though... ... Miley Cyrus is a genius. She was irrelevant but she knew what she had to do. She shocked the world with the most PG scandal ever and became famous again.

QUOTE(mirocu @ May 14 2014, 09:12 PM) Miley didnīt do a thing she wasnīt directed to do which btw is the case with basically all these so-called "stars". And if they ever decide to stop obeying, the end up like MJ and so many others...
Whenever someone says MJ, the first thing that spring to mind for me is Spiderman Too many cartoons when I was a kid...

Or...Instead of going down the cliché route, she could have...Instead...Worked at her craft and not lose the respect of however many people... A wise man once asked a question that should be aimed squarely at Miley...How can you expect to be taken seriously?...I can't see anyone giving her anything like respect any more...She should have built on her fame and used her dad's contacts...Move out of the kiddie-pop and just done her job properly... She's an idiot...

Here's an unpopular opinion for you:
I prefer consoles to PC for gaming. If you ask me they're better.
Sure, they're more limited than a PC, but if I go into Game tomorrow, and pick up a new game for my 360, I know I can fire it up and it'll play, no fuss, no muss. And that would be true if I was still using the first 360 I had, from seven years ago. I kinda doubt a PC for the same price as a 360 at launch would be playing brand new games after that length of time.
There is a notable exception to this: Strategy games.
The best I've seen on console was Command and Conquer 3, which was pretty damn good, but it doesn't match any I've played on PC, even much older games.

Well, I'm not a PC gamer...But I see what you mean...The only unfortunate thing with the consoles is the sheer amount of updates that we have to endure...I mean Skyrim is the ultimate when it comes to crapping up from them... I think, for this Mirocu's NES thing isn't far off... &^%$-ing brother made a similar point the other day...Back in the day when all you had was the PS2 and no internet, companies had to give you the full game on the disc and not rely on the updates to finish them, instead of all these updates that can cause more harm than good in some cases... However, he did demonstrate the difference between one game, I think it was a rally one, on the PC and X-Box 360, the PC was smoother, faster...Better really...*Shrug*...I don't know...If you've got a good PC I suspect you'd win the battle hands-down...Y'know?...

PC games were being patched long before the consoles got online, so it's not a console specific thing, but it's definitely an annoying one. And I'd give the crown to Fallout New Vegas in terms of bad patches, that game ended up unplayable by the time they finished "fixing" it And yeah, a good pc might provide better performance, but would a pc brought at the same time the 360 came out, for the same price as the 360 at launch, still be playing brand new games as well seven years later? I'm not convinced on that front.
