The best house is RoseThorn Hall (Skingrad) but city-wise I prefer the Imperial City. The reason being that aside from bartering, there is NO reason to be in a city.

QUOTE(Ibis @ Jun 19 2006, 03:43 PM) *Spoiler*Pisces is found laying dead on the ground, skewered through with dozens of arrows - holding open a pocket notebook that has a last entry: Now where is it that I buy my arrows at? Chorrol Imperial City Anvil Bruma Skingrad Cheydinhal Leyawiin Bravil ***Note to self = Remember & Purchase more arrows soon* I only ever bought 1 arrow, and that was an elven arrow to see what it looks like. I steal my steel arrows off Honditar in Chorrol when he goes to practice. Though I am using Dwarven at the moment because I have so many. And I can hide underwater so your arrows can't get me and then come out to shoot low flying birds.

Rebuilted Kvatch is WAY the best. It is as big as imperial city, with Ayled Dungeon, new Castle, shops, 5 guilds, trainers, new unique looking Items...
Without mods, skingrad sucks, Anvil too, leyawin is poor, Imperial city as too much guards, bruma is always under attack, so or cheydinhal, or Bravil (bravil is the best baby)

The architecture in Bruma is great, although the town needs major expansion in my opinion. And i love the walk up to Cloud ruler temple. The surrounding area also has some of the most stunning scenery. I cant wait till a skyrim mod comes out (preferably Tamriel Rebuilt).

I like Bruma the most. The snowy climate along with all the drunk nords, just sets up a great atmosphere. Though nn terms of selling and buying, it's got to be the Imperial City.

Hmm I'd have to say either Bruma, because I like the way your feet crunch in the snow (and me statue's there ), Skingrad, cos' it looks so cool and neat, or even Bravil because I love jumping rooftops while hopeless guards try to shoot me down .

I know its not on the list but Borderwatch is by far my fav town. Theres 5 houses ,an inn ,a farm and the town is 100% khajiits with heavy duty weapons! Its also funny to see flaming dogs fly down from the sky and land on the town and the fact that you can cook some rare cheese and basically every rat in the wilderness will be plaguing the town. I really do wish that you could actually cross the border into Esweyer, how great would that be. by the way, for those peoples that dont know where border watch is, its north-west of leijawiin.

Actually, you CAN cross the borders, but it requires either an alteration of the ini, or the use of a mod to do so. Borderless Cyrodiil is the name of the most commonly used mod for this. If you;re on a platform however, mods, other than the official ones, won't work. They're PC only.
