Whats the highest level you EVER got to in any elderscrolls game (without cheats.)

The highest i've ever got is lvl 42.

Posted by: minque May 30 2005, 07:40 PM

vote options too low..my Serene is lvl 72.... wink.gif

Posted by: Rane May 30 2005, 08:32 PM

Fixed the poll to include 60-80, 80-100 and above 100.

My own highest level character ever would be 75.

Posted by: jonajosa May 30 2005, 11:20 PM

My guy was... in the 50s somewhere.

Posted by: Zarrexaij May 31 2005, 12:39 AM

It took me about a year, though.

Well... haven't played MW that much, but my highest leverl was either 62 or 64 with my Redguard - Arneth, and the levels include all the expansions and almost every quest in TES 3... tongue.gif

38, with my Khajiit named after myself. My first Charaxcter, and one of my favorites.

He was one kick-boat kitty.

Posted by: Luke the Banished Jun 4 2005, 10:23 AM

Errrr... Mine is a filthy bosmer lvl 67

P.S: Alexander, i didn't know that YOU were a powergamer!!!! :lickinglips2:

He got his level that high just by running around and shooting things with fireballs. He's obsessed with magic characters. biggrin.gif

Posted by: Luke the Banished Jun 4 2005, 11:32 AM

There is no chance to get that lvl if ure not pwrgmng!!!!!

I myself alsolove magic, but I prefer not fireballs, but Life Furys

Posted by: Zelda_Zealot Jun 10 2005, 02:33 AM

My levels arnt as high as all of yours but I do have two of them!
First is my Woodelf thief. Lvl 42ish. I also used the souldtrap glitch to get him ubertized...

My next is a Imperil (Spelling sucks) Swift Blade(Custom)
Lvl 65ish/49(Vampire).
Care to see his strength? Oh well you will anyway. Normal: 165. Vampire: 231 (Enchated Daedric tower shield plus fortafiy strength=SUPERMAN biggrin.gif) I am very proud of my self!

P.S. The vampire also has the ring you get from king Helseth. So he is immune to almostr everything. biggrin.gif

Alrighty my bragging is done. wink.gif

Posted by: darkcootie Jun 10 2005, 03:51 AM

I got to level 22 or 23. I cant remember at the moment.

Posted by: 9of9 Jun 10 2005, 01:30 PM

Level 76 thief tongue.gif Most of that was done by stealing lots of stuff (mostly in Suran) and then training her up - whoever said thieves were weak characters wink.gif Then again, I still use the same 25-30 dagger I used at level 20 and practically no enchantments, so I've probably got the offensive ability of about a level 30 tongue.gif I mostly roleplay the character though, so I rarely tend to fight.

Posted by: MerGirl Jun 10 2005, 09:41 PM

I've played Morrowind:

Er, the highest I had was Lilim, who was a Thief as well as an Assassin for the Morag Tong. About level 25ish, and she had finished almost all of the Thieves Guild quests, and did a few Morag Tong quests, as well as a few sub-quests... However, she only did, what, 1% of the Main Quest? tongue.gif

My other character Celia, being a Healer Mage person, took a long time just to level to level 3! (I'm horrible with Magic in this game!)

I've played Arena:
In Arena, I'm still in that first dungeon and only at level 4 with Celia the Healer, and only Level 2 with Gabel the Ohmes Ranger. :ashamed:

Posted by: Wolfie Jun 10 2005, 09:58 PM

I can't remember the highest level one of my characters has ever reached, but my current character, a pure mage called Pug (Alexander will get that biggrin.gif) is about level two because i just started the game with him lol

Posted by: Channler Jun 11 2005, 12:16 AM

Um... yea, my highest was like... 17... :embarrassed2:

Funny thing is I did all the legion quests half of the fighters quests and about 75% of the MQ... Odd aye?

EDIT: Oh yea, now I remeber why my guy was so low.. See I was fullling around in the lower regions of the (?) The wolverine hall and I got stuck in this pit... and my last save game was in the pit.. and i had no idea how to use the console. So I deleterd that one and made a new character..

Then Channler was born, save this time I wanted to find a way to get around the same level as my other guy and I ;earned the secret of the console.. Well unfortionatly once you start using it it's horribly hard to go back to playig normal

Thas why no console for me in oblivion... At least not untill I reach an uber level

If you have money you gt get as high as you want, just train all the time. You could spend 20,000 and gain about 5 or 6 levels.

only just really started. and i keep restarting since i add more mods (im mod crazy  ) but now i've decided to commit to my dunmer (who's name is Megil Tel'Zeke) class Iluvatar basically a mage who also has marksman and spear as a major/minor skill.
For you, perhaps.
Yes, your right, once I find an obstacle and don't have the time to get around it I got to use the consol..

But I've been good now, alls I've been using now is..

I really try to avoid the co sole unless I wanna get myself free from being stuck in a fence or so, or if I want to change face or so.. wink.gif

But money?? I have more money than I īll ever use from selling soulgems and stuff to creeper.......You really canīt spend that much not even if you train skills all the time!!!

Well ok if you want to enchant something you can use a bit of money.... biggrin.gif

Depends on the mod. Sometimes you do have to start a new game.
player-> additem gold_001 1000000
65535 is the highest number you can use with AddItem and still get the right quantity of items. Higher numbers will give you less than 65535 gold, since the number resets.

Posted by: Kuukulgur Jun 27 2005, 11:00 AM

My highest has to be level 31-32 or something like that, my Bosmer thief (custom class, of course). I had completed all the Thieves Guild quests (except the ones Stacey gives as some other organization quests, because I completed the last Thieves mission first and he disappeared, disabeling me to complete the others) and I was a Grandmaster of House Hlaalu...

Posted by: Fuzzy Knight Jun 27 2005, 01:29 PM

My character in level 64...

Is Grandmaster in Morag Tong, Thieves Guild and Fighter Guild. Archmage in Mages Guild. Champion (or what it was) in Imperial Legion, highest rank in the Temple and the Blades, Ashlanders etc.. Really hard to keep track..

Remember how glad I was when I got my 1st character in level 8, then came a little break. Then my Redguard, then the forums that helped me to get in level 64 tongue.gif

Posted by: Wolfie Jun 27 2005, 01:31 PM

Nope. Just don't do the quests for the Sjoring Hard-Heart's Quests and Lorbumol gro-Aglakh in Vivec for the Fighters' Guild. Instead stick to Eydis (until the code book quest), Hrundi and Percius Mercius.

That way you can become guildmaster for both guilds.

you have to download the children of morrowind mod, and then the playable children add-on.

My highest was a lvl 123 Dark Elf. I just took advantage of the Sneak Master in Caldera. If you have the sneak skill as either a major or minor skill you can just keep purchasing levels. It keeps saying 100, but you are really leveling up, but you need big bucks to level up this way.

Posted by: Fuzzy Knight Oct 8 2005, 11:31 AM

64... after completing almost all quests on Morrowind, Bloodmoon and Tribunal. Didn't find it so much to play after that, so stopped at the level of 64 smile.gif

77 Dark Elf Scout - about the highest you can go without exploiting glitches like over training, or using cheats

lvl22 unfortunately.

Kinda emberassing, but the guards killed me. I could take on a legionaire one on one if I really took my time and send my Scamp after him, but if there were more, I was dead.

My current character is level 2.

Max level is 65535. Of course, that's just the absolute maximum that few if anyone has reached without the SetLevel command. To get above 78 (the max if you start with the lowest possible skill levels and stop when all skills are at 100) you need to either visit jail a lot (skills decrease) or use the Fortify exploit when you use trainers. Basically, the latter allows you to keep buying training even when your skill's at 100 without actually raising the skill level. So you buy the skillpoints which count towards the level progress but your skills remain at 100.

Posted by: jack cloudy Apr 20 2006, 08:56 PM

Heh, Luper has maxed out at level 23 before I started new characters. He wiped the floor with everything. Even Golden Saints, Dagoth Ur and the like fell within three hits. evillol.sml.gif Most impressive of all, this was without any real boost from enchantments or Adrenaline Rush. Redguards are like the gods of the battlefield.

Wah! I'm only Lvl. 17 I feel like such a noob sad.gif

Posted by: jack cloudy Apr 21 2006, 04:01 PM

Hey, don't worry. It took a week for me to get to level 2 and a month to reach 6. After a while, your character seems to hit the turbo's as far as levelling is concerned. Read books, there are a ton that give you a skill. Before you know it, you'll hit twenty and make Dagoth Ur look like a powerless child.

And best of all, your level doesn't really matter. So some people have got higher hitpoints cause they're at a higher level. Who cares, as long as you're having fun everything is fine.

My Highest lvl was 50 with my Dark Elf character Joncis. I played with that guy on and off for several years to get him to that point though. I don't play Morrowind anymore because I've explored every inch of the island, finished all the quests at some point or another, and I've found every artifact that wasn't quest related.

Posted by: Daedroth Mar 1 2009, 03:14 PM

Cheats don't count.

Posted by: Captain Hammer Mar 6 2009, 02:59 PM

Eh, I got up around 115+ on MW (including both Trib and Bloodmoon), though I don't know if that counts since my skills all maxed at 78, so I used 'Drain Skill' spells to move higher.

Posted by: Illydoor Mar 6 2009, 07:49 PM

To be honest when you reach 30+ the game just gets too easy and everything dies quite quickly. For example I saved the mages guild quest until I was about lvl 20 because I thought it'd give me a good run for my money, but crazyass Mannimarco comes at me with a flimsy dagger, three bursts from my trusty Mage's Staff of Shock and that was all it took. And that's with the difficulty on default.

And what's with the dark brotherhood end quest? It was so easy I actually got bored.

Voted 40-60

My Oblivion character has now stopped at lvl 50 but my Morrowind character is currently at lvl 57 and still going. He has all attributes maxed at 100 except Endurance and Luck and I guess he could go up to at least lvl 70 as he has many skills still well under max. Well I basically was playing a build from a guide, this was long before Oblivion, and I pretty much treated it as a hack and slash game embarrased.gif

I keep meaning to go back and take a proper run or two at it, just can't seem to break free of Oblivion for long enough.

Did Buffy visit Morrowind by any chance? Or is it just Oblivion thus far?

Posted by: ghastley Nov 11 2013, 06:37 PM

I've had characters up to about 53 in Oblivion, when they maxed out all their major skills. I tend to cap them around 26-27 with unused majors these days, as that allows all possible creatures up to Lich to appear. Higher levels don't change the game much beyond making Goblin Warlords take forever to kill. Despite the usual criticism of the Oblivion level system, it's quite amenable to player control.

Skyrim characters haven't reached their peaks yet, so too soon to report. Only Fleur is likely to keep going, the others were rolled for testing. Perks in specific skills seem to be more important than overall level, which has few apparent effects. In particular, it appears to be possible to hit the same defence cap with any armour if you boost your Smithing skill enough. Leather (much improved) > Daedric (base level)! It appears the same is true for weapons, and a well-honed steel axe will do more damage than a fearsome-looking daedric one, too. I haven't figured out what the enemy levels do, but I suspect they cap, and the game will plateau.

Daggerfall characters didn't go past about 20. At that point they'd done all the MQ, and most of the non-random others. Player level doesn't seem to change the game much here, either. Armour/weapons at top level are available to any level of player if they find them, and that makes more difference than skill, which soon catches up. Higher levels make better loot likely, so it's not all flat, but you get to the plateau fast.

Morrowind - my first character (on my new laptop) hasn't had his first level-up yet! He may get wiped if I install a new OS to replace win 8.

Arena was just too frustrating to play for long. Extrapolating from Daggerfall backwards, I get the impression that it would get easier as you progress to higher levels, or get better equipment.

She has been in a couple other games before Oblivion, but not TES games. So many games and so little time - aggravated the fact that if I like a game, I go all monogamous on it for 5-10 years. tongue.gif

I have a spellsword in Skyrim who got somewhere in the 50s with leveling. Oblivion it's much lower: somewhere in the late teens is the highest I've gotten.

Posted by: SubRosa Dec 23 2013, 04:53 PM

In Skyrim I have gotten characters into the low forties. None of them have ever reached 50.

In Oblivion it was the upper twenties, something like 28 or 29.

I cannot remember Morrowind, probably only in the teens.

In Skyrim I have gotten characters into the low forties. None of them have ever reached 50.

Skyrim is weird. The Mighty Khahkhayre (spellsword) is the one who got into the 50s, yet I only gamed with him for a couple months. In comparison, I've been gaming with Lord Haaf-Mersey for over a year, yet he's only at 47.

I'll never understand how some gamers manage to get to the max of 81 (81, right?) within a few weeks of gaming back when Skyrim was new. Guess they don't have jobs or lives.

As demands for experience points grow immensely once you pass the 20s in Arena, my bet is that my Nord is gonna stay at level 25 whenever he reaches it. Beyond that.... well, no matter what he does heīs never gonna get enough XP for level 26 tongue.gif
