I'm constantly using it, good way to see all the alternatives in quests. Just recently, I did that with the Chorrol Mages Guild Recommendation. Really glad I did too.

Similar in the way that you can only have one at a time. By hitting F5 the game makes a quicksave, which you can then load from either the load screen of by pressing quickload, F9.

Very rarely, if ever. I think I only ever used it like 5 times max, the rest of the time I just save in one of the game slots, in case I make a *cough* mistake *cough* (such as falling into a pit of lava, and saving to another save just in case I can't get back out sort of thing).

Well, I have autosave as I'm on the Xbox 360 and I have the feature turned on. It has saved me from having to play thru hours of the game again as sometimes I get so lost in the game that I forget to save. I just use the autosave feature as kinda like a backup in-case I forget to save then die. indifferent.gif

Voted never.

I just donīt trust it enough. Should a problem occur I want to know I have full saves to back me up with. Besides, I only save every four minutes or so so itīs not a big deal hehe.gif

I voted "never", since there isn't a quicksave feature on consoles for Oblivion. Not that I know of anyways.

This must be a PC thing, huh?

.... There is a quicksave for Skyrim's Kinect on Xbox (you literally say "quicksave" and the game does this within 3 seconds) but there isn't one for Oblivion. I quicksave quite often in Skyrim, and make more permanent saves at moments that seem epic. And if I somehow forget to do this, I have no one to blame but myself.

While we're on the subject of saving, let me ask: when do you guys & gals choose to save? Is there an exact moment? .. for some reason, I often make Oblivion saves if my character's in the middle of doing something; like opening a gate, a door, or casting a spell. This way, later on if I load my game up, I'll get to see this door opening or closing, or a spell being cast, or my character on horseback, jumping in mid-air, or something equally as cool.

I use the quicksave, but I try not to rely upon it. I prefer a regular, hard save. I make a save before I go into every dungeon, and before I quit the game.
