don't hate them because they're beautiful, hate them because they're slow... and easier... and no mods... and, well, the Xbox (and 360) are beautiful. smile.gif
Why do you hate consoleS/
I hate them because they are so hard to controll, even when you are used to playing on one.

E.g. you come round a corner and instead of aiming at somebody, you run around madly trying to get them into your sights.

You can't move the crosshair with enough accuracy.

In reply to MerGirl a while back:

I can never ever understand how anyone could possibly find an analogue stick easier for aiming than a mouse. It baffles me. Considering the precision required in Morrowind to pick up such a simple object as a fork, I would have thought the task, while not the easiest on the PC would be nigh on impossible with the XBox controller

Apart from that though I - and I suspect many others - only hate consoles because I don't have one tongue.gif

Well once you get used to the sensitiveity it is quite easy to pick up something. Since it is pressure sensitive you can control about as easy as the PC.

No, I was thinking more of the moving around was easier to control on the X-Box (aiming is another story). Also, when you want to drop something on the floor out of your inventory really, really, really quick (like that expensive platter in that room where you register your class, etc), you can press one button on the X-Box, and it drops it automatically.

Anyway, I thought the PC controls were... too spread out for me. I mean, just for walking forward, to the side, and back. Then, there's the Spell button and the Weapon button, which I often confused them with the directional buttons. (I'm trying to change the button scheme, but I've gotten so used to the old, awkward one, I get confuzzled alot.)

FYI anyone wants to know I have X-Box, GameCube, PS2, PC, as well as 2 GameBoy Advances and a GBA SP. (Most of my family are casual, but enthusiastic gamers.)

I know it doesn't apply to The Elder Scrolls, but I've always hated shooters on consoles. It's beyond me how anyone can aim with any accuracy without that most marvellous of thingies, the mouse. Having a mosue is also handy when it comes to movement in first person games. The ability to point in exactly the right direction with the mouse, and then go forwards/backwards/strafe is something I'd find hard on a console.

Yeah, FPS games are way better on PC. Analogue sticks aren't versatile enough to aim properly like a mouse can

Does anyone here really aim in Morrowind?
Also, I really only have trouble picking something up if it's something small like a fork or knife. But I really hate the ring in the pond quest, because it's really hard to get it precise.

I've never found that ring. I just kill the woman and her friend, since you have to do it either way

 Me too (in terms of not finding the ring and then killing the lady and that other guy)! I got so bored looking for a ring that just wasn't there. (Unless the ring is invisible or something, and I just didn't notice).

To Veltan: That's what I meant by aiming: Trying to aim the camera towards the item in order to pick it up in the first place.

To find that ring it is best to use the Night Eye spell I think it is called or something like that. It helps to see in the pond and you will find the ring pretty fast.

... You're kidding me. You've got to be kidding me. Oh, my gosh! All it requires is a spell which I have never used nor needed in the game, like, ever?!

Note to self: Never play a non-mage character for certain quests.
Another Note to Self: Why didn't that darn lady tell me this?
