ahhhh....The Planets. smile.gif From what I can hear it seems to be a fine, well recorded rendition. (I listened all the way through, a rarity for me any more with full orchestra works.)

BTW: The mellow low-brass instrument that comes with 'melody' at roughly 2m15s (and again later) is the euphonium, the instrument I played (at) during my long ago days as a flawed mediocrity of a performing musician. The euphonium is, by and large, a military/symphonic/brass band instrument. It never found a home in the orchestra. It does make rare appearances there, this Holst movement possibly the best known.

You euphoniest you! laugh.gif

This version is by The Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. I heard some other versions that were not nearly as good. They lacked the depth and fullness of sound that this one has.

This must have been a major inspiration for John Williams, because his work is very similar. Holst's work could be put right into any Star Wars movie and no one would blink an eye.

I've been listening to a ton of synthwave lately. Found a recommended video on YouTube for a synthwave mix from some YouTuber named Odysseus and it's been a bit of a rabbit hole. He has a bunch of mixes of all these different synthwave musicians. If you like electronic music and stuff with an 80s vibe to it, then I highly recommend listening to some of it.

Link to Odysseus' channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCwoTj-pZgZ...OXSSLMmA/videos

I just found this tune yesterday from one of his mixes, but this is a video with just that particular song. It's become one of my favorites: Juno Dreams - Paradise

They kind of remind Khajiit of The Birthday Massacre! You should give them a listen, this one thinks you’ll like them!

I've been listening to the Dusk soundtrack. I've really enjoyed the game so far and the soundtrack is awesome. If you like dark and heavy stuff (i.e., metal), you should check it out.

You can give it a listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DKCrkg7Kcdc

On the way back home with my sister and the family dog from Virginia yesterday, we got to listening to German heavy metal on Pandora. I already knew about Rammstein, but I found a great song of theirs that was new to me.

But more than that, I found a rad band called Eisbrecher ("Icebreaker" in English). Here are some really good songs by them as well.

Rammstein - Sonne ("Sun" in English)

Eisbrecher - Verrückt ("Insane")

Eisbrecher - Eiszeit ("Ice Age")

Eisbrecher - Dein Weg ("Your path," I think?)

I think Dein Weg is my favorite.

Actually, THIS is my favorite Eisbrecher song. I got to be careful with this band because I am repeating their songs so much that I could tire myself out on them.

Eisbrecher - Herzdieb ("Heart Thief")
