Captain Hammer- Awtwyr… playing the… pipes? (Choke. Sputter.) Absolutely loved his insight into the challenges of romance. And Athlain (and especially Athynae) are jumping up and down and cheering regarding Awtwyr’s difficulties in making his “scribe” get on with the story.

Ah, perhaps I was a little unclear about that. I have edited and clarified.

For the forum's consideration; Awtwyr, playing the Pipes. And a drum-beat that backs him up nicely. smile.gif

Character: Serene Catraso-Sarethi
Game/Setting: Morrowind

PLEASE GIVE US A QUICK INTRODUCTION?

Well I am Serene Catraso, Archmaster (mistress) of Great House Redoran. Married to Councillor Athyn Sarethi since nearly 20 years. And yes, there are kids but I prefer not mentioning them at this time if you will excuse me.

HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET YOUR WRITER?

It was Trey! Trey of High Rock, the Nerevarine who defeated Dagoth Ur and so liberated the nation of Morrowind. He and his Writer convinced me and my Writer that I had a story to tell, that I was of importance for the future of this lands...Well may that be.. after all I am the proud mother of the first child born after the Blight!

DID YOU EVER THINK THAT YOUR LIFE WOULD END UP BEING IN A BOOK?

Certainly not! I, a woman of uncertain heritage, a prisoner sent to Morrowind! No as I said it is all because of Trey....

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SCENES IN YOUR BOOK: ACTION, DIALOGUE, ROMANCE?

Oh that was complicated. My life has been so full of events, gruesome ones and wonderful ones, but I must admit I do appreciate good conversations, and I've had many....Especially emotional ones with Athyn and another man to whom I do have a certain odd relation. I actually do not like action but i've been forced to do unspeakable things that no woman should be forced to do! Also I'm a incurable romantic. I fall in love and things get very complicated. Yes yes I am married but things can end up in the wrong way anyway. I don't think I'd like to go further into that matter, thank you!

DID YOU HAVE A HARD TIME CONVINCING YOUR AUTHOR TO WRITE ANY PARTICULAR SCENES FOR YOU?

Oh no! When she came down to actually write about me we were in perfect understanding and fully agreed on how to proceed with the story.

DO YOU INFILTRATE YOUR AUTHORS DREAMS?

Yes, I actually do! Both at night and during daytime. For the time being, she claims she have the whole next chapter in her head but do you think she will just print it down? oh no! it has to be pondered upon both back and forth and so , as I understand other writers and persons are waiting for her to publish the wretched thing.

ARE YOU CURRENTLY ENGAGED IN A RELATIONSHIP?

Yes, as I mentioned I am married to the most kind and gentle man in Tamriel. He loves me deeply and I love him as well. But things are more complicated than that. As I am a passionate woman with a great big heart, there are room for ...more. But I will not take that any further....

ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THE GENRE YOUR WRITER HAS PLACED YOU IN?

Oh yes! I am a healer and Mage mainly but I also have special skills that are very convenient...for me that is!

WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN A SEQUEL IF YOUR WRITER IS SO INCLINED?

Oh I am currently living in one, ehh it is not yet written though..so the answer is definitely yes!

IF YOU COULD GIVE YOURSELF A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?

Oh my..I already have superpowers, I can read minds!!

IS THERE ANYTHING ELSE YOU WOULD LIKE TO ADD?

Hmm yes maybe there is...I hope certain men and women will not think too bad about me and my writer, we are working you know!

THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME Sera Sarethi

Oh I'm just glad to be of any assistance, and if you have additional questions, just drop by Sarethi Manor anytime!

Woo Hoo! Great interview! If nothing else, perhaps it will motivate Serene's "writer" to provide some background into those "I would rather not talk about it" incidents....

Mother it is time you tell your writer to stop pondering and start printing....But I love the interview as it was just enough to keep me still guessing (thick with sarcasm)...

This is just to much! There is quite literally to much here for me to coherently read between my spurts of laughter and the sheer joy of listening to your characters. Thank you all, you have made my day. (I only wish I could add some of my own characters, alas I fall short in skill when recanting their stories.)

Give him another 20,000 words posted. I'm not sure how well this would work for a character people don't know, and I'm still smoothing off a few rough edges. I know roughly what makes him tick, but there's still a few details.

There might be a couple more characters to appear anyway wink.gif

Would you give us a quick introduction, serjo?

No need to stand on ceremony. Ra'jirra, Archmage of the Imperial Mage's Guild. Been that since for nigh on forty years. Happily married to S'jirra, and we have two lovely daughters and two wonderful sons. What else do you need to know?

How did you first meet your writer?

Ran into the ning-nong last outworld year as a matter of fact. Apparently he was monkeying around with things that let you put off the main quest as long as you didn't set foot in the Temple of the One. Rather strange and weird to think that instead of the snot golem, could've been me escorting the Emperor to the Temple. If I lived that long anyway. One long-dead necromancer was enough for me, thankew muchly.

Inworld, he was hiding behind Quill-Weave's eyes. She argued that it would be best to chronicle my rise to fame and fortune while it was still fresh, before people started manuring it. Good point, but I'm told she got into trouble at the beginning of the Oblivion crisis. Never did get to the bottom of it...

Did you ever think that your life would be in a book?

I had a sneaking suspicion about that about the time I got my second promotion. Strange times and all that. Mind you I was trying to cope at the time and didn't really give it much thought.

What are your favourite scenes in your book: action, dialogue, romance?

The romance. Quill-weave really did a great job with my wedding, and she knows when to leave things to the reader's imagination. (grins broadly and winks)

Seriously though, especially in the second and third books, dialogue's more interesting. Especially when me and my youngest met those idiots from Earth for the first time.

Did you have a hard time convincing your author to write any particular scenes for you?

I'd have to say that even now I'm having a hard time understanding what happened in the Capital Wasteland. It didn't help that so many things went hard on poor old Ernie, and there's a lot of concepts that I have trouble with. So that makes it hard for me to explain to the poor old author and hard for him to write it in a way that the average citizen can comprehend.

Do you infiltrate your author's dreams?

I've tried and failed. They always seem to turn into nightmares for some reason.

Are you happy with the genre your writer has placed you in?

Guess so. Otherwise I'd have a hairless tail and getting zapped by spaceship exhaust.

You mentioned books two and three. So there is a sequel to your adventure with Doctor Haines?

Yes, but it's mainly to do with my youngest, Harry. Orphan you know. Going to school, learning about his native land. It'd help if the mages there had the sense of two short planks though.

Wait a minute... Harry Potter?

Yeah, that's him. Scruffy hair, green eyes, stroppy as hell? That's our Harry. Touched by Akatosh, he is. Our author's able to reveal a lot about what the hell's going on behind the scenes.

Oh - if you see a, um, 'plot bunny' running around, try to catch it will you? Blimmin' author let it get loose somehow.

Er... If you could give yourself a superpower, what would you choose?

Infinite magicka reserves. Every mage worth his or her salt would kill for that.

Is there anything else you would like to add?

The food's safe to eat at the Inn of Ill Omen.

Thank you for your time Arch-Mage Ra'jirra.

More fun talking to you than those blowholes on the Council.

Tįbrasa? I can't remember... I didn't even know she was writing for me? That's nice to know. I seriously feel like im blushing now. Oh dear...

DID YOU EVER THINK THAT YOUR LIFE WOULD END UP BEING IN A BOOK?
No... not really. *at this point, Willow interrupts*
WILLOW: Of COURSE it would end up in a book! I come one, she's a powerful wiccan with an extremly beautiful spiit lodger. Who wouldn't wan't to read that?

ARE YOU CURRENTLY ENGAGED IN A RELATIONSHIP?
TARA: Unless you count the fact that i always have Willow with me, No.
WILLOW: Aww, I love you too! In a non-gay way. Not right now, anyway.
*Tara giggles*

IF YOU COULD GIVE YOURSELF A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
TARA: The power to remove a spirit from...
*Willow gives Tara a stern look*

Character: Jericho

PLEASE GIVE US A QUICK INTRODUCTION?
Um...hello? My name is Jericho, I was born and raised in the Waterfront, My mom.....died when I was little and i was left alone with my dad...., but right now I'm with Nale, and currently he is telling me about my first job, I am so excited!

HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET YOUR WRITER?
We meet around a year ago and we clicked really fast and are really close friends! He was originally a powergamer, but I changed his mind!

DID YOU EVER THINK THAT YOUR LIFE WOULD END UP BEING IN A BOOK?
What's a book?

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SCENES IN YOUR BOOK: ACTION, DIALOGUE, ROMANCE?
I still don't know what a book is.

DO YOU INFILTRATE YOUR AUTHORS DREAMS?
I bother him constantly about sweetrolls every waking and sleeping moment of his! , Have you guys tasted them? They taste really good!

ARE YOU CURRENTLY ENGAGED IN A RELATIONSHIP?
......No, I'm still asking Nale and the other guards what "Comfort" means, but they all refuse to answer me.
I like going to see the guards train at the barracks.
I don't know why but I find myself looking at how muscular they are.

IF YOU COULD GIVE YOURSELF A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
I want to bring down justice across the lands! To protect the weak from evil people! You know, just how the Guards do.

PLEASE GIVE US A QUICK INTRODUCTION?
I'm the junior reporter for the Black Horse Courier. That means I'm the one that gets all the out-of-town jobs that take you through bandit country, interviewing people in backwaters nobody's heard of.

HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET YOUR WRITER?
No, I'm the writer. Did you mean Editor? That would be Ra'Jiradh, although Urjabhi and Hassiri mess about reworking my stuff when he's busy. Someone in the Market District told me there were jobs available atthe Courier and I applied. They just checked if I could read and write, and sent me out with a notebook.Seems like it got it right, because they kept me on, and gave me this nice assignment.

DID YOU EVER THINK THAT YOUR LIFE WOULD END UP BEING IN A BOOK?
No, it's not a book, just a broadsheet. And not even one with a regular publication schedule. The Elder Council pays us to put out an issue any time there's news to warrant it. I'd prefer to have it come out weekly, so people would have something to look out for, but I don't make those decisions.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SCENES IN YOUR BOOK: ACTION, DIALOGUE, ROMANCE?
Since it has to be news, it does tend to be all action, and not much else. However, they've got me writing an article (or series of articles if get my way) about the new Champion of Cyrodiil, starting with his Gentleman's Lodge at Gweden. There's action there, but it's not the sort we can publish. Plenty of the others, though, if I can get it past the official censor.

DID YOU HAVE A HARD TIME CONVINCING YOUR AUTHOR TO WRITE ANY PARTICULAR SCENES FOR YOU?
If anything, I'm just having a hard time. I really need to hold him back, or I might not survive the
current series.

DO YOU INFILTRATE YOUR AUTHORS DREAMS?
I probably don't, but I suspect some of the women I've met recently are quite capable of doing that! I'm more worried about their imagination than I am his.

ARE YOU CURRENTLY ENGAGED IN A RELATIONSHIP?
I'm taking the fifth on that one. There are way too many alternatives on this current assignment.

ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THE GENRE YOUR WRITER HAS PLACED YOU IN?
Are you serious?

WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN A SEQUEL IF YOUR WRITER IS SO INCLINED?
Are you serious?

IF YOU COULD GIVE YOURSELF A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Endurance. I don't think I need to explain.

Ekali interrupted me while I was doing my homework and totally went of the sheets. She call them teasers, but there wasn't supposed to be any teasers. huh.gif tongue.gif

Character: Ekali of the Frozen Heights
Genre/Setting: Skyrim, Dovahkiin MQ/Civil war

PLEASE GIVE US A QUICK INTRODUCTION?
Oh, I am Ekali. Former forester of the Imperial legion, but they sold me out so I'm not going to play their games any more. At the moment though, I'm just trying to figure out what exactly I'm supposed to do.

HOW DID YOU FIRST MEET YOUR WRITER?
Now that's a story... I'll just summarize it here, and then you can read it in the book. She'd probably have a dragon eat me if I told to much.

A friend of mine held a party at his estate in the Rift. She was there as well and we started talking about how dull it was with all the politicians trying to get connections while not realizing that they just got further into his pocket. She mentioned the rumors she'd heard about the dragonborn coming to the party, and I told her that they were true. The rest as they say, is history, and I'm quite sure you'll get to read about it.

DID YOU EVER THINK THAT YOUR LIFE WOULD END UP BEING IN A BOOK?
No, not really. I had such a normal life in the Imperial legion, and I didn't think anyone would ever find out about my background. When I found out Dar'Ilthi was the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, I figured that maybe she'd mention me in passing if she ever wrote a book, but I didn't think anything like this would happen.

THE LEADER OF THE DARK BROTHERHOOD?
Oh yes, my adoptive mother. Mind you, I haven't seen her for eighteen years and back then she most certainly had nothing to do with the Dark Brotherhood. No, she ran with a different pack of wolves then kvright.gif Figuratively of course.

WHAT ARE YOUR FAVORITE SCENES IN YOUR BOOK: ACTION, DIALOGUE, ROMANCE?
Dialogue actually, the gentleman is quite enchanting, and I must say she makes me look like a much better speaker than I really am. I tremble every time I meet a Jarl.

DID YOU HAVE A HARD TIME CONVINCING YOUR AUTHOR TO WRITE ANY PARTICULAR SCENES FOR YOU?
More like I have to hold her back when it comes to everything but love scenes. I mean, just because her love life is complicated doesn't mean mine has to be, does it?

DO YOU INFILTRATE YOUR AUTHORS DREAMS?
If I ever did I highly doubt she'd remember them. And I'd probably be scarred for life as a bonus. She doesn't have good dreams. Trust me, you do not want to enter her mind at night.

ARE YOU CURRENTLY ENGAGED IN A RELATIONSHIP?
It's complicated, very complicated. So I'll just skip over that for now.

ARE YOU HAPPY WITH THE GENRE YOUR WRITER HAS PLACED YOU IN?
I suppose, I don't like all of the bad things that she's put me through, but then I doubt anyone would.

WOULD YOU BE INTERESTED IN A SEQUEL IF YOUR WRITER IS SO INCLINED?
Perhaps, if it doesn't contain too much tragedy. As I've understood it at the moment she's planning to work everything that happens into the current one, which is in itself a series of books.

IF YOU COULD GIVE YOURSELF A SUPERPOWER, WHAT WOULD YOU CHOOSE?
Superpower, what do you mean by that? Is that like the powers you can get from the standing stones? In that case I'd like one that allows me to go to a peaceful place every once in a while. My life's got to much content.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN WITH “TOO MUCH CONTENT”?
First I sleep with a guy I don't know, then I'm carried of to Skyrim for execution only to be saved in the last minute. Find out my mother is the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, I'm dragonborn and then I meet a vampire whose fascination with me is everything but sexual. I've lost count of how many times I've fallen of cliffs, and I'm quite certain at least half of them were because of my mother or those damn Greybeards. My best friend, who's grown to become the most successful bandit in all of Skyrim, kidnapped me to deliver a warning after I killed some of her men. And then there's the Civil war, who was it that said that it would end when general Tullius died?

So the Black Horse Courier guy is a womanizer? And Ekali became an assassin after the Legion? Nice. Seems no one likes to stay in the Legion for too long. Lousy pay and all that.
