Well, there is a game coming out called Assassins Creed. Hopefully, it will not be as dissapointing as Oblivion was to me.

Nonetheless, Altiar looks cool, does he not?

Does this Assassin fit my Assassinyish forum self?

Discuss!!

Judging by what they are promising, the developer, screenshots, random info and how excited you are, it will be disappointing. Still looks worth playing.

"Every action has its consequences"-Just like fable and oblivion wink.gif
"Eliminate your targets wherever, whenever, and however"-And yet you can see in the screenshots there is one obvious way to do things, perhaps you can choose which blow you'll use to kill your targets.

I hope not....but Oblivion taught me a valuable lesson....not to get my hopes up.

But If I have the option of say pushing a crate of barrels onto my target rather then stabbing him....I should be somewhat satisfied.

I also think that the thingy of the game is scanning your enviroment as well, deciding on an escape route, what can be used to your advantage etc.

An Assassins POV essentially.

I haven't really stumbled upon "Assassin's Creed" yet, but now I'm interested in seeing what it's about.

But I have to admit, that avatar looks pretty sweet.

If you want more info then you have to do some snooping around more.

My "what type of blow" comment is an exaguration but just looking from the screenshots it looks like there is one way to do things which is easy, and you can do other things like running around murdering everyone if you want to, but the games not designed for any other route. While you probably can drop a barrel on someone's head, I expect it to be only when it is designed for that to happen as the (or perhaps one of 3) easy way/s.

Is Assassins Creed suppose to be open like TES or is it like in levels?

I don't know because I haven't snooped around enough but it looks like open cities but more restrictive elsewhere, I have a feeling it may be like baldur's gate openness where you can wander off randomly but the order things are available is restricted. Of course that is just speculation.

I'm not impressed by assassin's creed. It's just a edgier Prince of Persia with a few shiny new "decision" toys. I'm not all that confident in it's quality. While the acrobatic feats and hits probably won't dissapoint, it's just going to possess the same flaws as its spiritual predicessors.
