The Commona Tong, some interesting information Options

This some interesting information told by a Dunmer born in Vvardenfell, served in the Imperial Legion, and now works in the Commona Tong. Check it out, some spelling and grammar errors probably but oh well.





Let me tell you something about myself, my name is Tiberius, I was once a commander in the Imperial Legion, I now run a lot of the operations for the Commona Tong here in Vvardenfell. Now let me educate you in the Commona Tong.

Introduction


Vvardenfell is a land of great wealth, the Commona Tong runs a very successful import/export business here. We ship goods such as moon sugar, skooma, and ebony to our various customers in Cyrodiil. Then our ships return with slaves that we sell to various people in Vvardenfell since it’s legal here. It’s a great operation, the Commona Tong has its own smuggling fleet, fast ships that usually leave the Imperial cutters in the dust. But once in a while they capture a ship and confiscate the goods. We already have enough trouble here on the land with the Imperial Legion snooping around, especially that annoying commander at Fort Moonmoth. Our ships usually dock at Hla Oad, Khuul, and all along the Bitter Coast.

Drugs

Moon sugar and skooma, ah yes, nobody can get enough. The Imperial Legion believes that Orvas Dren is growing saltrice at such at his plantation. Nope, they are making moon sugar, and that stuff is good. Half of that moon sugar stays moon sugar, the other half is shipped across Lake Hairan to skooma lab. The Imperials don’t know about that either. They just think its another farmhouse, but no, in the basement is a highly sophisticated skooma lab. When we have enough product, the stuff is taken to the swamps next to Hla Oad, where various petty dealers buy a little bit of it and sell it around here in Vvardenfell. But most of it gets put on the ships and is sent to Cyrodiil where the buyers pay really good money for these goods. Each ship we stock up of moon sugar and skooma is worth about 300,000 drakes, that’s why we only use the fastest ships in the Empire to outrun the Imperial Fleet.

Ebony

Ebony is another story, this is a lot harder to get our hands on. The empire has only allowed the East Empire Company to traffic these goods, but we sell them to discreet buyers in the Empire for a lot less cheaper, and they buy from us a lot more. The mine in Caldera isn’t the only ebony mine here in Vvardenfell, The Commona Tong have been able to located a few deposites and we send our slaves there to work. Though the operations have to be very secretive. Even though we have our own mines, it’s still not enough to meet the demand, so we look to our friend Solstheim. There is a Imperial Legion Commander up there, who is also an employee of the East Empire Company. He is the head of a newly built town called Raven Rock, which has an ebony mine. It’s a very successful mine, so he is able to sell half of his ebony to us, while the other half he is turns in to the East Empire Company. We send a ship about every month, and pay him in about 400,000 for a stock that fills up the ship. Smuggling ebony is more risky, since ebony is quite heavy and weighs the ships down a lot more.

The Fleet

We currently have about 10 ships that were very hard to acquire. We had 11, but the Imperial Fleet just recently captured one. 7 ships are unarmed, and are used for smuggling, the other 3 are pirate ships that we use to raid other vessels for goods.
