Ooooh, more Sethyas. I've ready my way through the other stuff and this was just as good. It's nice to hear about earlier in his life. Is this to be continued or a one off?

I didn't really see anything particulrly noticeable to criticise but I feel compelled so I'll point out the final sentence. I think there might be a verb missing "I returned to Balmora my gold for the writ." 'to collect my gold'?. It's nothing more than a typo though... Or am I just reading it wrong?

Anyway good to see you back at writing.

I got this thrill down my spine, seeing this! You know how muchI love Sethyas, and getting to learn more about his lore really pleases me.

Now I naturally hope for more, Blackie you know how much I appreciate your work..

Most excellent to get more of Sethyas' background described. There are a number of evocative descriptive passages that really set the atmosphere. A few constructions give me pause- e.g. the sentence Olen pointed out.

Enjoyable as ever, it's nice to see you writing again and I look forward to the continuation.

Nice smooth transition to the back-story and an enticing ending... did I say I want more?

I know that "heart warming" may not be the appropriate expression to this piece of great work...but..but remember this: I'm a woman, a woman who has grown very fond of the charachter Sethyas Velas, and damn it it warms my heart to read about him like this! To get to know more about the person Sethyas.

As always you do have this "way with words" Blackie, which I do admire..

So I really love this and I sincerely hope you will continue, please?

Nice. Quite a different side to Seth shown there. He's a good chatacter and stands up well to the different feel of this peice, is even improved by it.

My only critacism woud be of not always taking a new line for a new speaker which gave me a couple fo double-takes, but thats just formatting and the dialogue was good.

The last few lines made me laugh. smile.gif

Beautiful! I knew deep inside that Sethyas is a good lovely man, who know his ways with women. No doubt several female creatures have had some kind of crush on him, but without him knowing it! biggrin.gif

Thing is..I just love to hear about his early life with Ilmeni, maybe we'll get to know how he met her f.ex

Very well written, and with a touch of humour and brilliance..

More Sethyas NOW...pretty please

yes yes I'll do it! Update S I mean! wink.gif

"Sethyas! why the hell didn't you send it!!" That was my first reaction, when I read it the first time...but of course that wouldn't have been enough as a comment, so I read it again...and again.

I take it as a kind of x-mas present...to me, correct me if I'm wrong but so it seems.

A letter to S from S, where he curses her for getting into his head, and the next moment he talks to her just like that, just like he talks to a dear friend in which he knows he can confide in...so right on spot, so Seth-ish, some cynical remarks, then telling his story with honesty and politeness.

I didn't see that coming...the thing about hoe he met Ilmeni...heh I didn't think she had some purpose like that! Very interesting I'd say!

Thanks a lot Blackie for writing this, I appreciated it so very much. I just hope Sethyas will send it to Serene one day, or at least let her find it...it would probably change some things if she'd read it.

Oh and a few more things...to you Sethyas Velas from Serene:

1. Yes that dagger was so full of evil, it was obvious to me, and I surely didn't like it...I didn't want you to own it at all

2. You curse me for reading your thoughts, I know you don't feel ok with it, but I assure you I'm just doing it when it's good for you, I never trespass!

3. You also curse me for making you remember, for making you write this down, you don't believe it will ease your pain...but it's there you are wrong! So terribly wrong, because it will help you, it will bring you to closure, you know we talked about that once! I promise you, in time you will get at ease, and when you do...think of me, please. I will always be there for you

Awesome! At last you revealed the secrets of Seth's parents! And the weapons are magnificent. Ehh those twin daggers that Lysander got as a present.....well from whom?? yup curious as always!

Then again...so Seth does not know anything about his parents? Ma died in childbirth and Pa...never returned

poor kids! huh.gif
