So, another project report!


I haven´t been talking about this one because frankly I have been rather -Jameson- about it, but now when it´s all said and done I feel I can disclose the details

Excavator - the dozer division

My ´cavator is a so-called XTV, meaning its tracks are extendable for better stability. This of course means the dozer part has to be extendable too and it is like in this picture (not mine), but the sprints that hold those parts were rusted shut and impossible to remove. I have hit them from underneath with a sledgehammer for months without result (I drove close to a pit I dug up to get room). I have used up five or six spraycans of WD-40 and another anti-rust agent that freezes the rust down to -40 C, still nothing.

Eventually I´d had enough, removed the whole carriage, flip it over, and went to town on those sprints again but from above this time (sort of). I used a much smaller hammer but lo and behold, they loosened up! Two were easily removed but the other two demanded much more work, but I did it! I got them all and finally I can use the extensions!!




My next project is figuring out what else there is to do in life now that this project is finally over

We now have fine gravel on the new road! It´s like driving on silk by comparison


And another project is partly over; the deconstruction and removal of an old garage. We only took the two long sides and some leftover timber. If we´re lucky we´ll get it up next year as we will concentrate on getting the tractor garage up first

That road looks smooth as a baby's behind! What a great job you did!

I have to love the grass in your area, it is so green and lush! Around here you can almost only get that using annual rye, meaning you have to reseed it every year or your lawn looks just blah, lol.

Those dogs would make a muddy field day of any garden party in their dog lot, lol. Any upper class dogs enter their pen, they will change their uppity ways real quick and turn them into banshees like they are, lol.

Today dad and I started to put up walls on the new garage. I know I said we were gonna do it next year, but what the heck. Better do it now so we can paint it next year instead
