6:19 PM, Turdas, 2nd of Sun's Height, 4th Era QUOTE Cicero lives on, the fool! Faced with one choice between the fool's demise and allowing him to dwell within his maddened shame, I, Mycharonna of Bruma, hag of ice and frost magicks, have allowed the fool *. his life, his trove of burdish means of deep within. let him chide in madness, let his rambles scrite on amongst those walls of plighting echoes

M'aiq has a lot of nerve to say that to Mycharonna! M'aiq is lucky that one did not pierce his neck. I'm glad she let Cicero live! QUOTE(SubRosa @ May 30 2014, 03:28 PM) I am glad to hear that Valdi is still roaming Skyrim. Even though it looks like Erik's careless remarks will insure they remain just friends. Maybe she will take a shine to Serana?
Valdi is oddly taken with Serana. Since Valdi is ungentle and largely uncouth and Serana is an actual princess I thought they wouldn’t get along. However Valdi has given the kindest conversational responses to Serana and opened up some dialog that I’ve not heard before. Serana recently asked Valdi about her parents. Of course Valdi still loves to blow up the undead with her sun spells and she does not care at all that she might hurt Serana. I suppose that could be a result of the many ice spikes Serana has shot through her head and back. Quid pro quo. She still has Erik along for the adventure, but as you predicted her feelings have mellowed to friend status. It was just a crush after all. Though she does admire the way he fills out that Dawnguard armor. Looks like the Amulet of Mara will stay in the pack. (Funnily enough I can’t remember if I added Erik to the potential marriage faction. I made a few changes like giving him Light Step and washing his face, but that’s all I can recall.) Oh, and she has Serana styled in Dawnguard armor, too! Valdi gave Serana a brown “ranger” hood, gauntlets, and boots along with the darkest DG light armor. She also had Serana in face mask for a while. All you could see were her yellow eyes! Valdi is a little sensitive about traveling with a vampire, plus she knows that Lord Harkon will have his minions looking for Serana and her Scroll. (Which would have been a nice addition to the game.) So Valdi put Serana in a clever (for Valdi) disguise. This post has been edited by Grits: Jun 9 2014, 08:39 PM

Excellent point! Also without her vamp getup Valdi does not shield bash her in the dark as much these days. Here are some pics: Serana in her hood. “Yes? What do you need?” Serana Strut.“I’m nothing if not persuasive.”Mod disclosure: Madcat221’s Seranafangs, non-glowing eyes edition. I got fed up with Serana looking like something noticeably weird and yet not a vampire.

S'krawni, my latest Khajiit, has discovered that there is a more annoying habit than Serana's mubcrab resurrections. She was escorting Esbern out of the Ratway Warrens, and every time there was any hint of danger, such as a wandering skeever, Esben summoned a Frost Atronach. Since he's rather large, he completely fills the low, narrow passages of the Riften sewers, and nothing can get past until he expires. Nor can he move out of the way, as he just walks in place with his head stuck in the roof.
She can't shoot past him, so if the enemy he's trying to reach is using a ranged weapon or spell, they're pretty safe from the whole party. Esbern is similarly prevented from doing anything useful. All he can do is re-cast the @#$% atronach when he expires.
Progress was really slow. Whenever the coast was clear, Esbern ran ahead, so that he could cast a fresh roadblock for them. S'krawni could probably have kept ahead of him, if she'd remembered to put her bow away in order to run faster, but she (I) tends to forget.

Middas, 8th of Sun's Height, 4E 202QUOTE Show thy hand. Adrift in sodden mockeries Sight within and I see your terror.
You mock and you tease, I see this all! .. And little you know I see this all.
I know. You mock and you tease, I know. I see this all. Do you not think this is so? Yet I see all.
Showing terrors. Fathoms of terrors.
You share and you mock. You mock and you tease. I see all. I know. I know. I see all.
The hour of the icy witch has come. Little know you. // I see all you say. Mocking and teases. You mock, you betray. You speak in plain sight of my presense. You tell me your fathoming secrets behind doors. Half-sighted. You are Half-sighted. While I remain fullly-sighted. And I see all.
Little know you, the hour of the icy wis*- witch had come. Little knowing. Small little mindings. Souls darker than mine.
Keep thy mockeries. I know of them. Mediocritiese. Your teases of surety, as you converse. Make conversings. I koow know and I see. Mycharonna is on the way to Markath, where she's supposed to eventually assume the role of a famous chef (I am assuming) who will be cooking for the Emperor's entourage. That's what I think is going to happen, anyways. She's become ultra-paranoid for some reason (as seen above). This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Jul 3 2014, 11:46 PM

SubRosa, I haven't been to this Bards Leap place, but I remember seeing Persephone take that jump. It's one thing for a dead girl to survive such an icy leap, but for a woodster like Arduina? Wow! Renee, I see the Ice Witch is still up to no good. Someone's gonna get hurt and it won't be her I'd wager. In our previous playthrough, Buffy completed the College quests just to see what they're like. This time, we're freezing things before anyone gets hurt. Instead of continuing to let the questline play out, Buffy's been asked to be an emissary to the local hold of Winterhold. If successful, she's been told she can expect to be asked to travel to other holds to liaise with the Hold Wizards and even the Jarls on the College's behalf. The College is adamant about being apolitical, but does realize that pure isolationism leads to mistrust and strained relations (eg: Winterhold). So. . . after helping the Jarl and local citizenry out, Buffy has been made a Thane of Winterhold. The Jarl assured her he would let his guards know, blah, blah. Well, the next morning, Thane Buffy steps outside and the first three guard encounters she got were as follows: 1. "What do you want, little elf?" 2. "Hail summoner. Conjure me up a warm bed, will you?" 3. "Aww, don't tell me. Somebody stole your sweetroll?" Buffy figures her job in Winterhold is not quite done yet. Still no mods though, although we have mastered the command console pretty well. We did tweak her height - so she has to look up to everyone now.

Buffy figures her job in Winterhold is not quite done yet. Ha ha that's awesome! "What do you want, little elf?" Eventually you should start hearing some new dialog from those guards, I'm almost certain this is so. Unlike Oblivion, in Skyrim most NPCs don't change their speech patterns due to our station in life, but the main exception to this is with guards. They seem to possibly notice everything: what we're wearing, what we're wielding, what we're up do, etc. On the other hand, a lot of NPCs do notice if we're sick, which I think is a nice touch.

QUOTE(Acadian @ Jun 16 2014, 09:36 PM) And, of course the shopping is great.
Oh my goodness, yes! .. It sucks that one lady is so rude (the one who runs the clothing shop) because she's got one of my favorite shops in Skyrim. I also like the alchemist's shop, and general store. They're not rude in there. QUOTE Now being a Slayer, Buffy can sense vampires - she gets cramps when one is near. She has potions that can help control the discomfort. Now she recalls from Skingrad that not every vampire is necessarily evil. So she is keeping an open mind regarding the vampiric Court Wizard in Jarl Elisif's court. Nice touch. Some of my chars have also come to the same conclusion, using the Count of Skingrad as an example. And good to see you getting into the mods slowly. I can't wait to do so, one of these days.

For the past few days, my new character Morigu has been scouring The Reach. She's Forsworn, but has forsworn the Forsworn. Morigu questioned some of the things they were doing, especially why they revere the Hagravens, and turn people into Briarhearts. Drascua, the Hagraven in charge of Dead Crone Rock, decided she wanted Morigu's eyeballs, and Morigu disagreed. She killed her way out, and set up camp in Reachwind Eyrie. Yesterday she found Karthwasten, and killed the Silverblood mercenaries for Ainethatch. It is something she would have done anyway. But it had the added bonus of making Karthwasten a safe place for her to trade (I modded in a general store). Today she delivered the Forgemaster's Fingers to Dushnikh Yal, and that got her in good with them as well. Today she infiltrated Markarth, and quickly got caught up in Eltry's investigation of the Forsworn and the Silverbloods. That got a lot of people killed, including Eltrys of course. She's been thrown into Cidnha Mine, and is in the mood to do a lot of killin', now that she has found out that Madanach and Thonar Silverblood have been unfriendly allies. Edit: Morigu escaped from Cidnha Mine. She played both ends, pretending to help Madanach as far as the exit of the ruins. Once she got her belongings back, and the Armor of the Old Gods, she killed him. That got the battle rolling, and she killed several other of the Forsworn in the ruins as well. Two Markarth Guards came in, and Morigu killed them as well. There are no innocents in Markarth. Then she went outside to find more fighting. She went to killing Forsworn, and when all was said and done Thonar gave her a pardon and his family ring. Morigu took great pleasure in disenchanting it. She might return to pay him a midnight visit. She has his house key now. She also found a key to the Dwemer Museum on one of the dead guards. So she might visit that as well. For now, Morigu is contemplating her new found legitimacy. She can go anywhere in the Reach without being attacked by the guards. That would probably make killing other Forsworn easier... Goodness, I wouldn't want to cross paths with Morigu, that's for sure. Not unless she has a 'good' side I can get on. Mycharonna just got out of Cidnha Mine. She had a previous bounty for killing somebody in Markath during her last DB quest here. She didn't just kill this person, she also Frenzied a guard (not sure if this adds bounty or not) and then had to flee, with all the guards in the city after her! Since she never served her sentence, or paid a fine, she had to do so when re-entering Markath. Spent only 7 days in jail. If you just go to the Mine for an ordinary bounty (no quest), there is a message saying you have to mine a bit of silver, and I was looking forward to mining some silver, you know, actually acting out the 'sentence', but unfortunately as soon as Mych picked up a pickaxe and swung it at an ore vein there was now a message saying "do you want to serve your sentence?" Dang. Oh well. She killed Anton, a Breton who knows who The Gourmet is, and where The Gourmet is staying, and she is on her way to Dawnstar now. She managed to feed on Anton before slashing him with her 24 pt. frost daggar. Interesting that The Gourmet is an orc. I would have guessed an Imperial or Breton. I've encountered the opening murder scene when you enter Markarth several times, but never taken the quest beyond getting stuck with the 'meet me...' note. Milady Magu and Miss Charona sounds like just the dangerous women to tackle it though! * This past week has been quite involved with modding. I think we have our basic set up pretty well set now: -Blue-eyed Bosemeri blonde mystic archer - check. -Precious black mare with white mane, feet and accents - check. -Big cat with big claws and teeth - check. -Magic bag of holding, portable camping gear, dynomite adventure-wear. . . check, check, check.

Mycharonna and Morigu would make a fearsome pair! I am not sure if Morigu has a good side though. I think she might become a cannibal... Glad to hear you are getting Buffy's accessories together. I just saw this horse mod and was thinking of you and Haute. It seems to make the horses into the more normal riding horses rather than draft ones. And I think has better textures as well.

QUOTE(Acadian @ Jun 14 2014, 03:44 PM) I realize I'm a Skynewb, but when a summon of Buffy's or someone else gets in the way, Buffy shoots it with her conjured mystic bow - her Oblivion Binding perk ensures any summons are banished and reanimated things are turned to her side. In fact, we just tested it this morning to ensure she can 'dispel' her own summons that way. Thank you for that fabulous tip! I’ve never taken that perk and never thought of banishing my own summons that way. I would not have given Darnand those three weapon perks but if it works with the Spectral Arrow spell (restored by Cutting Room Floor mod) it would perfectly round out his Conjuration skill without resorting to a conjured weapon. Hmm. (Edit: After a quick test it does not seem to work with Spectral Arrow.) Renee, Mycharonna will possibly be the most eccentric Gourmet Skyrim has seen. Yikes. SubRosa, Morigu looks awesome and sounds like quite a handful. I like the way enemy Forsworn sprint into their melee attacks. It sounds like she has that kind of energy! Acadian, congrats on the new setup. I got a real laugh from dynomite adventure-wear. . . check, check, check. This post has been edited by Grits: Jun 20 2014, 04:21 PM
