I recently found this message in my inbox over at the official forums, and really though I ought to share it with all the long-standing members of this project who knew jonajosa. He was one of the early 'founders' of the project, and left us several months ago to serve his country. The news of his passing came as a shock to me, but I was also deeply touched that he would think to leave a message for us, and even more touched that his wife, in what must be a terrible time, would deliver these messages.
The message I received:
QUOTE
This was found in the document of all my husband's farewell letters. It was addressed to you.
"Well well. I never thought I wouldn't see the day when Tes F'Ruun didn't become a mod. It‘s one of the things that really bugs me in these, my last few weeks alive. I really wanted to walk through the doorway and run into a wall lined with dozens of books. In a way I feel that I have failed you. I ask for your forgiveness in my lack of persistence to finish my work. I tried but it wasn't enough.
I want to thank you for allowing me to be apart of this wonderful project and I send my best wishes for the projects future.
Goodbye my friend."
Thanks for being a friend to my husband.
