I think they are for a fanfic roleplay, but I could be wrong. I just came across that page so soon after Skyrim came out when everything Skyrim was causing pants-jizzing excitement.

In Skyrim so far I've only had one character - a female Khajiit. (I always start TES games with a female Khajiit, then later try other races). She is good with one handed blade or two handed destruction, hasn't reached even level 20 yet because I never have time to play, lol.

Have you found a favorite character for Skyrim?

PC or NPC? If we're talking the Player Character, no, I can't say I have a favorite. I've had 5 characters so far in Skyrim since 11/11/11. Maybe over a matter of years, I'll be able to look back and say "this one was a favorite for sure". But not now.

If it's NPC, that all depends (as usual) on my character. Gunter, Son of Talos (Nord fighter) likes Ysolda. He's got a mad crush on her. He also likes his main follower, Stendar, but doesn't have a crush on him. Claire Voyance (Breton cleric) had a thing for Brelyna, but unfortunately 'Brel' died.

For my PCs, probably my Legion Scout/Assassin, Aranios Sayl. For NPCs, Uthgerd the Unbroken. That woman is awesome on legs.

@ Lady Saga - I was actually talking about Player characters, but you brought up a really interesting topic!

My favorite NPC in the game is the Jarl of Solitude (Elisif the Fair) - LOVE her! Second would have to be Adrianne Avenicci. For males I'd have to say Balimund so far. Cicero does make me laugh, but I'd have to kill him sooner or later, lol.

@ Colonel Mustard - that is an Awesome name! (Aranios Sayl) - Dark Elf?

Favorite NPC is officially Serana.

Spoilers below:

She's one of, if not, the most developed NPC character in the game currently. Aside from discovering she relates profoundly to my own female vampiric character, I was pleased to see how Bethesda actually made her a true companion compared to the others. She's thrice as developed as Lydia, Aela the huntress and even the Blades' woman(name?). In every quest, she makes a comment on something that ties in with the enviormnent. And the story is amazing. A vampiric woman with parental issues. Never thought it would be this awesome. Everyone in the forums and who played Dawnguard seem to like her.

Though I'm not buying how sweet and "nice" she is, though I love her character. She is a worshipper of Molag Bal to the point of going through a sexual and degrading ritual to be transformed into a pure-blooded vampire, and still considers it a gift upon being asked for a cure.

She is also somewhere around a thousand years old or more, from the 2nd Era, as for a period then there was no Empire(which she is shocked to discover after all this time that Cyrodiil was the seat of an Empire after being locked away). She never uses her Vampire Lord form no matter how cruciel the circustances are, and showed that there is more to her power/abilities when she is completely unphased by the Snow Elf's damaging attack that wounded himself and flung the player to the floor senseless. She never displays to the player a fraction of her true capablities, just standing back and throwing spells, until she looses her temper and gets angry the with the Snow Elf and picks him up by his collar to choke him to make threats. wub.gif

She is also really eager to turn the player into a Vampire, or see him/her turned into one. I came to see that she also gradually grows to like the player, and how protective she gets, to the point of making out to her father that protecting the player is a big part of her betrayal. And I noticed that Harkon made a remark about her keeping the player as a pet, as though it wasn't a big suprise or new, and how she didn't really argue.

Frankly, since vampires are infamously manipulative I wouldn't be surprised to see if she isn't just a hell of a chessmaster.

An alternative way to look at it is that she is pretty much the player's lover if you stay together to adventure. There should of been a marriage option, there really are vibes to the back-and-forths between her and the player, and her comments as well. I wonder if Bethesda didn't include the option more because she is a vampire, and an ancient one at that, who may not want any part of a marriage before Mara. In any case, a Molag Bal marriage ceremony would be appropiate(sans the degrading ritual).

And yet I am, and live—like vapours tossed.
I long for scenes where man hath never trod
A place where woman never smiled or wept
There to abide with my Creator, God,
And sleep as I in childhood sweetly slept,
Untroubling and untroubled where I lie
The grass below—above the vaulted sky.”

Darkness Eternal likes a vanilla-game vampire? I gotta get Dawngaurd.

Dumb question: how the heck do you buy it? I haven't been to the game store yet, but is it possible just to buy it over the 'net, and install straight to the Xbox? I read something about "microsoft points", but I don't know...I'm terrible about that kinda stuff.

Seriously. everytime I go to the gamestore, the clerk asks me if I want "points". "Do you have your card? You can get points on it..." I'm just so bad about that kinda stuff! Always lose those stupid GameStop cards.

I don't mind buying it. I just don't see a "marketplace" area on my Xbox. Oh, and I do not have Xbox Live. I don't see the point in getting that, since the internet on my PS3 is free. Maybe I need to have Live to get Dawngaurd?

I think you have to download it to get it.Though I am not sure. There is a free version of X-Box Live. You can use those Microsoft points to rent movies through it, or buy games. You can buy Dawnguard through it, with those points.

You need to buy a 1600 MS point card at a store, or use a credit card on your xbox to get it. Either way, it will be $20. You will need to connect your xbox to the internet to get it. You do not need to get a 'Gold Membership' which is the paid account.

The King speaks the truth; you can get two kinds of membership for Xbox Live; Gold Membership, which you pay for, which allows you to play games against people online, and Silver Membership, where you cannot play games online but you can buy and download games and browse the internet from your Xbox. You can buy downloadable content from the Xbox Live Marketplace by purchasing Microsoft Points as a sort of online store credit sort of thing (not sure why Microsoft doesn't just cut out the middle man and let you buy directly with your credit card, but you'd have to ask Bill Gates for the answer to that question). Once you've bought your Microsoft Points, you can then spend them on DLC and even entire games at will.

I just use my credit card on mine for downloads, I just have the free (Silver) membership. I also use my credit card to pay for my son's Gold membership + any downloads he wants. I just gave them the number years ago, once per year they charge the account for the Gold membership ($49.00) and whenever he wants to download something he just purchases points on Live using the credit card on file. It is very simple that way, and no need to keep going to stores to purchase cards.

Those cards they sell in stores are useful for people who don't want their credit card being used that way, or to give for gifts.

Oh okay thanks, everyone.

Kinda neat. AFter all this time, I have hardly finished any of Skyrim's quest-lines. Finished The College, and Gunter is probably about to finish Companions. And now there's even more stuff to add to the original game. smile.gif
