His family killed shortly after he was born, Ban was left to survive for himself from a very young age. He spent most of his time in the forrests of Hammerfell. A hunter named Roger stumbled across the boy one afternoon badly wounded from a wolf attack. The khajiit brought him to his home not far away and nursed him back to health. From then on the Khajiit and the young redgaurd were inseperable. Roger taught Ban everthing he knew before ending up in prison. When the two were on a hunt they came across a band of injured imperial gaurds from a bandit ambush. Kneeling over to help them, reinforcements arrived under the impression that they were the culprits. Ban was taken to prison immediatly, while Roger took an arrow to the gut. He's presumed dead..
