You can buy a horse in most towns, in the stables. I belive the most expensive horse is black horse wich you can buy for 5000 septim. But you'd rather just do the mainquest and you'll quikly get a horse for free. If your going to buy a horse you should buy a white or a black horse, the white one is strongest and the black horse is fastest.

The one you get in the main quest is the slowest horse you can possibly get tongue.gif and I've acctually been outrun by NPC's on foot while riding it biggrin.gif

I saved up for a black horse from cheydenhal... they are the fastest and their black biggrin.gif and as Ola Martin pointed out they cost 5000 septims smile.gif

I never wanted to change my horse (had that main quest one) as i felt sorry for the prior that died smile.gif
Anyway... i entered a cave and when i got out i found my horse dead, slain by a tiny azz rat (god i hated that thing).
Well and as this all probably sounds a bit crazy, back to the point: Cheydinhal horses own smile.gif

You can eventually just walk in, jump on a horse and ride away, on some places, no one will see you (I don't remember in what city I stole my horse). The problems:
-Your horse will slowly walk away when you go off it
-If you go on it, people will think you are stealing it - even if you're on the other side of Tamriel.

What's with you youngsters today? So lazy you can't even check the price when you have the game?Pffft.

The price of White Horse is 4,000.

Stick to the main quest and you won't need to buy a horse wink.gif Unless you would want a pretty one laugh.gif
