Well, I discovered my old NES in the attic the other day, and started playing the old games.
how many of you have old consoles like Atari, NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, etc? if you do, what is it/them? What is your favorite game for that console?
My favorite game for NES has to be 'Life Force'. You play as an airplane and shoot brains and tanks and dragons....it's just awesome.
I've got a Super NES, favorite game is U.N.squadron you are a merc and you attack other guys in airplanes, tank, anti-air, etc.
I also have an old Atari Jaguar, favorite game is Raiden another game were you are an airplane shooting stuff.
I've got several old consoles that I haven't played them in a while but here they are,
Atari-missile command
Nintendo-Heavy Barrel(Oh Yeah!)
Super Nintendo-Star Wars(Not sure which one)
Nintendo64(Not sure if its old enough but I'll put it here anyways.)-Quake
The old games are still fun, I play them now and again.
Snes here. i forget the name of the game because the sticker peeled of and all but it's the best kirby game ever!!!!
kirby R0><><0RZZZ
on N64, my favorite would have to be the ocarina of time - a kiddie game, I know, but super cool nonetheless.
Yeah I liked ocarina of time so much I bought it for gamecube...
I got a NES a (original) Gameboy, a Sega Genisis, and a N64
I still love Sega, omg, its a wonderful system... I still play Jurrasic Park, both of them that i can remeber
EDIT= Zelda aint no kiddie game, it was totally hard core.. err back then anyways, its still a masterpeice.. I loved the first one better then the second.. Majoras Mask?
And omg Goldeneye for N64 tat was 1337
I have an old Gameboy with the only two games I ever owned: Tetris and Super Mario World. Funny how after over a decade, I can still finish SMW with my eyes closed in under two hours Perhaps, one day, I'll buy that Spiderman game I enjoyed playing a lot back then!
LOL.. Nope, never had any old gameboy or Nintendo or anything... Rarly play my PS2 for the time, used it as a DvD player, but now I have that too so its picking up some dust...
I got a snes here with all the games I'll ever need. Good ol' Final Fantasy, smash tv, super punchout and all the other gaming land marks.
SEga Genisis
Nitendo 64
Nomad (Think of it as Sega's game-boy. )
Dreamcast (loved this thing)
I did have two things from sega, one was like a gameboy, and the other you could put sega games into and play while carrying it around... cant remeber what it is though..
Zelda Ocarina of time was awesome.
I'm psyched for the new zelda comin out xmas.
all the good games are so damn far away like OB and halo 3
I want to get a game cube or something all I have is the two mentioned above and a couple computers
i have a game cube and a xbox
There are no good games for gamecube, apart from qindwaker and prime 2 in my opinion.
hmm... old consoles... wonder what that means... I've just started playing Zelda. it's a brand new game for me. the console it was first played on is probably old. guess u could come up with an older one.
i don't supose i should mention i play zelda on athlon64 3200+&1GB ram
Ive got a NES. Possibly my favorite game on it would be the first Final Fantasy. That game was awesome, I don't know how they fit it all on that cartridge.
My SNES probably doesn't work anymore, but my favorite game was Zelda: A Link to the Past.
My N64 controllers break too easily, so I dont play my N64 games anymore. Ocarina of Time may have seemed a bit childish at times, but man was it addictive. Thats why its my favorite N64 game.
For my Playstation... FF7. That crybaby from FF10 has nothing on Cloud, or even Squall from FF8 (he was cool too).
I havnt been too impressed by any PS2 games Ive played, so I don't have a favorite. Maybe DMC1, but I think I only played that once or twice.
Thats it for the old consoles I own. I'm a PC man now...
The oldest consoles I've owned have been a Commodore 64 and an Atari 2600, but we gave those away. My current batch of old consoles is made up of a NES, a Sega Mega Drive (PAL and Japanese name for the Genesis), an Atari Lynx, a Gameboy Colour, and a Playstation (the original one, not the fancy shmancy compact PSone). My newest console is a Gamecube. My favourite NES games are probably Kirby's Adventure and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, a game which predates me by almost 3 years.
I've still got a N64 and some years ago I still had a C64. I still play with the N64 every once in a while
N64, SNES, and Sega Genisis.
Playstation is my oldest. FF8 is my favourite game, playing through it for the 14th or so time right now.
I used to have a super nintendo, but I sold it recently. I'm looking to buy a new N64 but not too extensively, I have no monies
I still have a NES and a Nintendo 64 in my basement.... I also have an xbox that was from the first year of production...
Edit: I also have a Sega Genesis, somewhere, I think it's in my closet...
my odest game like thing i own is the nes, but if it counts, its the commadore 64
Hm, just recently I saw the firs video game thing ever on the net which showed it in some bar in America and you hade like sticks that moved things on screen but did nothing or something like that.
pong?
a...atari??? w-whats one of those??
Sike, yea i have an old Nintendo somewhere around my house.
LOL you don't know what an atari is!?!?! oh well. they aren't bad, crude but okay none-the-less
WHY HAVENīT I COME ACROSS THIS THREAD BEFORE!???
I have the classic grey NES of course, with two regular controllers and the Zinger joystick. Got some games from my childhood as well as many more that I recently bought on ebay
Got the Game Boy and six or seven games. Zelda: Linkīs Awakening and SMB 6 Golden Coins are the favvs.
I also have the Sega Mega Drive and I think three games to it. Sunset Riders (whoo-friggin-whooo!!), Back to the Future III and Shining in the Darkness. I gave the last game a serious try a few years back as it is an awesome RPG but unfortunately the save system got corrupt and erased all my progress. I never recovered from this..
Edit: I also have Sonic the Hedgehog of course
XBOX 360 and PS3.
They are 7 years old.
You necro'd an 8 year old thread
You're just as bad as me
Anyway I have a NES.
To this day, it still pains me that my Playstation 2 doesn't plug into my television. One of the best consoles with one of the best games libraries to ever come about, the PS2 was.
I have an original play station in the attic. Not sure what to do with it
EDIT:
And yes, another handshake moment, lol
I have a Sega Dreamcast collecting dust in a cabinet in my entertainment center.
Alright I'll play.
1. Original Nintendo.
2. Atari.
3. Super Nintendo.
4. Nintendo 64.
5. Nintendo Gamecube.
6. Original Xbox.
7. Xbox 360.
I used to have one of those early LCD games too, the small ones you held in your hand. Donkey Kong is the most famous but I had the one where you have three guys in a boat (three lives), and you go down in an old-style diving suit past a giant squid to collect gold from a chest and then back up again without any of the tentacles grabbing you.
And thatīs it. It kept me entertained though for awhile. I know I should still have it but I cannot remember where it is..
