Chorrol.com _ Oblivion _ How many mods are you using?

Posted by: TheImperialDragon Sep 3 2006, 01:16 AM

How many mods do you use? I use... almost none right now, I like to keep a clean file in case something good comes out but is incompatible with mine or something.

Posted by: Fargoth Sep 3 2006, 05:30 PM

only 1.
A mod with a bank called za_bankmod.esp

Posted by: 1234king Sep 4 2006, 05:21 AM

O that's kool what is that

Posted by: TormentedSoul Sep 7 2006, 08:24 AM

Un-official mods I'm using none, Official mods (aka as plug-ins or DLC) I have all. I'm on the Xbox 360 so I can't use any un-official mods. smile.gif

Posted by: Rane Sep 8 2006, 09:36 AM

Just checked and it would seem I have about 80 mods activated right now.

That I am. Not too long ago the number was probably close to a hundred but then I thought I'd merge a few of them. Still, quite a few of the current ones are equipment mods.

Posted by: The Wolf Sep 8 2006, 06:33 PM

I've got none. Sad, but true, I never got to use mods even in Morrowind (mostly becouse I didn't have Tribunal). I haven't bothered to get any on Oblivion either.

Posted by: Abu the Cat Sep 9 2006, 05:13 AM

We'll just say... a lot.

Posted by: The Metal Mallet Sep 9 2006, 02:14 PM

I have yet to get a mod for Oblivion. I guess I just don't play it enough to have the necessity to get some.

Posted by: Duncan Frost Sep 19 2006, 10:08 AM

I lost all my mods due to major formatting on my system biggrin.gif

Got a 500 GB SATA II hardrive biggrin.gif A lot faster and better. Love it.

I plan to get my basic tweaks done and all that good stuff and then get my mods again, such as the distant LOD improvement one biggrin.gif

Posted by: Agent Griff Sep 20 2006, 07:27 AM

I've only got one mod active. It makes the game much more bearable and enjoyable though, even though it doesn't change the generic setting of the game. I think you all know this mod. It's Obscuro's Oblivion Overhaul 1.3

More than a mod! tongue.gif

Posted by: Daedroth Mar 17 2008, 06:00 PM

I don't think you need to mod in Oblivion. Oblivion is LIKE a mod to me. Maybe because I played Morrowind alot.

Posted by: Syndelius Daerleth Dec 20 2009, 03:13 AM

i had a bunch of mods (like 50 or so) and i got rid of them all cause they scewed up my game and i couldnt figure which one was causeing the problem cause i had so many lol so i just went back to my Xbox version

Posted by: Captain Hammer Sep 1 2010, 03:39 PM

I'm using a few, albeit ones that have several components.

Oblivion Script Extender
Deadly Reflex
Supreme Magicka (with an edited Sigil Stone component)
Darnified's DarkUI
Stronger Allies (levels NPC guards, Fighters' Guild and Mages' Guild members, etc.)

And a currently alpha-testing, probably unlikely to be released mod that turns the Battle of Bruma into a full-blown battle. Unfortunately, between the performance demands and numerous bugs, my buddies and I have practically dropped it as a viable project.

Posted by: Cardboard Box Sep 15 2010, 08:24 AM

What am I playing with then? Let's see...

  1. Common Oblivion (I assume that what COBL is)
  2. Horse Armor
  3. DEJ Harvest - Flora
  4. Mehrunes Razor
  5. Orrery
  6. Spell Tomes
  7. Unique Landscapes: The Heath
  8. Unique Landscapes: Colovian Highlands
  9. Unique Landscapes: Bravil Barrowfields
  10. Unique Landscapes: Panther River
  11. Unique Landscapes: Entius Gorge
  12. Unique Landscapes: Dark Forest
  13. Unique Landscapes: Ancient Yews
  14. Unique Landscapes: Lush Woodlands
  15. Unique Landscapes: Rolling Hills EV without wheat
  16. Unique Landscapes: Stendarr Valley
  17. Unique Landscapes: Cloudtop Mountains
  18. Unique Landscapes: Arrius Creek
  19. Unique Landscapes: Chorrol Hinterlands
  20. Unique Landscapes: Fallenleaf Everglade
  21. Pitchable Tent cleaned
  22. Oblivifall - let's talk!
  23. IOM - Main Quest
  24. IOM - Kvatch
  25. HVH Life Detect
  26. Nighteye shader replacement 1.1 (currently 'infrared')
  27. Knights of the Nine
  28. COBL Salmo the Baker
  29. Living Economy
  30. Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul v1.31 (and if I ever see a spectral knight again I am going to scream)
  31. Shivering Isles
Um. A few more than I thought then blink.gif

After checking my OBMM, I count 32 checked boxes. But some of those are patches and DLC.

And let's not even start on the ESP-less mods (texture replacers, and whatnot).

So ... er ... now I know who to ask regarding how to work Wrye Bash & Boss to get the most out of my mods with the least conflict! GAAAAH!

I only have a dozen mods activated and they conflict constantly - my game crashed 3 days ago and I spent days rebuilding it so it will run again. It is running, but right now with only about 3 mods. I am almost afraid to add anything I really want for fear of losing the game again.

These all ran great together till I added just one more thing - the straw that broke the camel's back:

1. Ring of Console - necessary to access console with my POS HP PC and Windows Vista.
2. Kawa Khajiit - absolutely essential to me, I don't want to go back to vanilla Khajiit
3. KT Custom Race Fix - Utility
4. "Stepford Husbands" - my mod, rarely conflicts with anything
5. Shiny Emotions - see below
6. Personality Idles - just because I like the more realistic actions and emotions displayed
7. Actors in Charge - posing for screenies
8. Basic Instincts - a bit of fun on the run
9. All available DLC except Battlehorn Castle (which I would like) and SI.
10. Female Eye Candy Body Replacer - so she looks good undressed, (instead of like a male who changed his mind halfway through surgery to become female and had a very bad plastic surgeon).
11. Roberts male body - nude (because I don't like seeing a man in a diaper)

Here is the mod that crashed my game the other day and caused me a ton of grief:

12. PCSound - Annah

Really ticks me off that SOMEONE (not mentioning any names, Thomas Kaira) - can have a list of mods they have to HIDE WITH A SPOILER so as not to extend post length, and their game runs fine! ... grrrr!

So last night I DL'd Wrye Bash/Python and Boss to try and sort out the mess and load orders so what few mods I want to enjoy will quit conflicting.

Ok, so I DL'd WRYE BASH last night, and spent all night staring at ... huh? Do what? Say WHAT? GAAAAAAH !!!! WTF do I do with that thing? Where is McGiver when you need him? GAAAAAH !!!

Fully illustrated Wrye Bash for Dummies. You were not alone, when I first got it I was utterly lost in all the features it had, and I didn't even have the newbies guide because it wasn't written yet! I had to self-teach myself everything about the tool, good thing I'm a quick study! I will say this, though, it gets A LOT easier as you learn, trust me. Now, I swear by it, and am using almost everything it has to offer.

By the way, I'm also using a whole slew of advanced tricks to keep my game up and running at a decent performance. Maintaining a 100+ mod load order is not easy, but to me is half the fun of playing this game. Bash is only half of my wizardry. tongue.gif

For this reason, you often see me hanging around the Oblivion Mods forum down on BGS. It's the best place to go for the most up-to-date info on modding Oblivion.

WOO HOO !!! Thanks Thomas Kaira !!! I DL'd all of them, not sure what any of the descriptors meant, lol. But the first screenie told me exactly why I was unable to move files into the Bashed Patch! Thank you, seriously. I did need a "Dummies" style explanation, that is for sure, lol.

Er ... mistake made on my list. That is how it looks now. Unfortunately I forgot to include the mods I took off when it crashed. All of the mods below were running smoothly - till I added PCSound Annah :

I pulled the full list from BOSS and alphabetized it, here it is:

Oblivion.esm

actors_in_charge.esp - worked good
BasicInstinct.esp - more fun than a barrel of monkeys
cidnothump.esp - I never heard the thump in the first place, don't know what this did.
CM Partners.esm - If I'm not mistaken, this is a part of one of the Werewolf mods
CM Partners.esp

CTAddPose_v_1.esp
CTAddPose_v_1_1.esp
CTAddPose_glock3.esp- some poses worked, others didn't - may not have had all three of these checked, not sure. All three were on OBMM.

CurseOfHircine.esp - AWESOME!
DAWerewolf.esp - Can't remember what this one added
DesuChan's Kawa-Khajiits.esp - best Khajiit mod EVER !!
Druid.esp - Okay, cool - had a glitch where it gave you every power without earning it first, eh.
DSPirateIsleBeta.esp - a ball !!
FenrirTheWolf.esp - fine, but invisible for some reason.
KT_CustomRaceFix.esp
LithiansVampEyes.esp - Awesome mod - never made it to vampire long enough to check cool powers
Lycanthropy V. 2.esp - OK
MaleBodyReplacerV4.esp - I DL'd V 5, but this shows 4. Huh?
personality_idles3b.esp - Awesome
Prometheu'sPiratesHideout.esp - lots of fun
Ring of console.esp - Needed
Not sure why BOSS isn't showing them, but I had a couple ... er ... X mods. Where'd they go?
shinyEmotions.esp - Love this one
StandingJOJO.esp - Great
Stepford Husbands Love Nest.esp - my mod
StokerWolff.esp - worked, but ... eh, yuch.
VampireCompanions.esp - great, but missing mesh on Vicente in certain rooms
Werewolf-Legends.esp - Second best mod EVER !!! (one complaint, it changed Oblivion music).
Wolf Diversity.esp - Awesome !!

DLCFrostcrag.esp
DLCThievesDen.esp
DLCVileLair.esp
DLCMehrunesRazor.esp
Knights.esp

And all worked well together till I added :

PCSoundAnnah.esp

That one was either the last straw that broke the camel's back or the rotton apple that spoiled the whole bushel (etc, etc, etc.)

It's actually much better to post mods in the order they are being loaded into the game. Bash can do this for you, just right-click the top bar in the mods tab and select "list mods." Bash will then display a small window containing your load order and automatically copy the contents, so you can just paste them into the forum. wink.gif (Take the code tags off, though, I'm not sure this board supports them. smile.gif )

I downloaded TESV Edit yesterday, I'm going to try removing all the mods and archiving them - then using that mod (or a list if I can find it) to clean up the Oblivion and Data folders - see if I can get my game running well again. Also, I DL'd a new driver for my NVidia and they did not have my card on their list - gave me a different one. Ever since I got the new graphics driver my PC has been crashing daily. I have to try and bring it back to the old driver if possible. GAAAAH !!! Doesn't my PC know I am PC illiterate? GAAAAAH !!!

Posted by: Thomas Kaira Jan 31 2011, 06:34 AM

TESIVEdit is not for cleaning up the Oblivion and Data folders, it's for low-level editing and cleaning individual plugins (.ESPs). First glance will likely net you the same response as a first-timer in Wrye Bash, "WTF am I supposed to do with this thing?!"

http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index.php/TES4Edit_Cleaning_Guide that should help you out with getting your mods cleaned up using TESIVEdit.

(Psst, I'm a contributor on that guide ph34r.gif. I helped with the "to be cleaned" compilation)

In other news, I decided today that I would extend my Visible When Distant graphics to include the Forts and Cities (minus the Imperial City). This, coupled with the Ayleid Ruins and High-res bridges and castles means pretty much every large structure in the game is now visible when distant for me. Bit of performance hit, but nothing too serious. smile.gif

I marked it as a favorite so I can refer to it continuously while I destroy what is left of my game trying to fix it. I scanned the page till I got to the part that describes how to actually use the TES4 Edit. (I knew I was at the right place when my brain numbed up and I suddenly could not understand a word it was saying - but it was an improvement over the "Read me" that came with the mod, lol. This part at the end had me rolling:

You actually read all of this? +5 to OCD for you.

But seriously, none of this would be possible without ElminsterEU, who has put an enormous chunk of his personal spare time into the making of this wonderful program. All kudos should go to him. And if you are in position of doing so, don't forget to endorse the file at TESNexus.

Just so you know, I, Brumbek, wrote most of this guide, so any errors are mine most likely. You may contact me on the bethsoft forums if you have any input or other comments.

I also want to think all the other contributors to this, specifically Vorians, Arthmoor, dev_akm, and many others. I also want to thank all the little people I stepped on in order to become Master of the Universe.

I'm really liking the CPU
I have a Radeon HD 5770 with 1GB of DDR5
My CPU is an AMD Athlon 64 dual core. It's a few years old and wasn't great when I got it.

I couldn't find your GPU on this chart: http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html

Posted by: Thomas Kaira Feb 1 2011, 09:47 PM

I use http://www.gpureview.com/ for comparing GPUs. You'll find it there.

The 8800 GT was one of the most powerful cards (arguably THE most powerful) released in the GeForce 8 series. My system is actually equipped with two of them in SLI configuration (though I force single-GPU on Oblivion because it doesn't support SLI)

Here's their entry on the card:

http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=544&card2=

http://forums.bethsoft.com/?showtopic=797401&hl= on the Bethsoft forums listing how capable specific GPUs are at running Oblivion. You'll find mine is listed under the "Extreme" category.

Rest assured my system is perfectly capable of handling what I'm throwing at it. wink.gif

ha ha ha NICE. I used to have a POS card that I found another of and put both in my comp and it ran some decent games for a while.

That compare site is pretty cool, I'm going to bookmark it.

My GPU is a monster, its so big I was concerned about airflow.

I bought a GTX 580 a little while ago, and it would only barely fit in the case. For a few moments I was afraid I would have to send it back! Thankfully it squeaked in though.

Even with it and 12gig of ram, Oblivion still runs choppy. FO3 runs great though, even with everything turned up to max. I have been playing Morrowind for the last week, with MGE. It is nice to be able to play a game at 32x Anti-Aliasing and 16x Aniostropic Filtering! For an ancient game, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/Computer%20Games/Morrowind002.jpg

I really wanted that GPU but I had to settle for the more affordable 5770. It's still not a bad card, but it's not #1 like yours is right now!

I bet both cards are the same size, I can't really imagine a larger card. I have a large case and it takes up so much room in it.

For an ancient game, http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/Computer%20Games/Morrowind002.jpg

Is that Teresa? ARGH!! I have a sudden desire to hear about Teresa in Morrowind !!!

I have around 25 mods.

My puter is a pretty black one, and is kind of new. Through the 7 windows that it has I can see beautiful blue lights and it makes soothing little whirring noises. It came with a new keyboard - that was good 'cuz the white bits were wearing off the keys on the old one, lol. Anyway, the puter folks that built it said it has lots of gigajuice and stuff. It has a spare puter inside that writes down everything the first one does and, I guess, keeps the first one company. They were able to summon the spirit of my old puter right into the new one so I didn't have to reinstall my game or anything! We put the game settings up to By Azura!!' and it runs real nice.

Lol'd in the library. People glared. sorry!

And I have 25 mods as well. I will provide a list later, I thought I could simply copy and paste them from OBMM but that's not going to happen it seems.

61 as it turns out tongue.gif I'm trying to get Kvatch Aftermath to work as well, but there are some complications with that. Then I'm not currently using any extra official content(except Shivering isles) or Unique Landscapes, which might prove troublesome to incorporate with the mods I'm using. And maybe I should only count the CM Partner mods as one...

Mods(.esp's):

Hm, yeah I use a lot of mods. And I only use the mod manager to keep track of them, still I haven't found any clashes yet. biggrin.gif Or well, Stokers face is gone, but I cover it with a mask. tongue.gif

Edit: That's interesting, why ain't the spoiler there? The writing is here when I edit the post.

Stoker's missing face: There is a "Face Fix" you can get for him on TESNexus. If it still doesn't show up and all you see is floating teeth - it is your load order - he has to be dead last or he has face problems, lol. Clavicus Vile's mask probably looks better than his own face anyway, I would have covered his face with a mask if I had thought of it - he is not a pretty sight. I wish they had different faces for him that you could choose which you preferred. Or the ability to edit his features - something.

My Khajiit refused to have anything to do with him, balled her fists up and pinned her ears to her head every time he was even in the room with her. She hated him - I don't blame her. I hope they take the Stoker idea and put it on a different facegen - maybe a diff storyline too, lol. Maxical was highly offended by him. I would like them to make a similar mod but using NPC's - that I would love to see.

That mod is a troublesome one, it is chock-full of dirty edits that need to be cleaned out with TES4Edit that can will cause problems in your game. Same with any mods created by that author (Giskard).

This actually caused quite the scandal on the BGS forums a while back. I won't go into details, but it ended with Giskard being banned and his name being tabooed. Please don't ask further as I will not discuss this. Just letting you know that Giskard has a bad reputation among the TES4 modding community.

Don't let that stop you from using his mods, but take in mind there will be some quality control problems you'll need to deal with.

updated list: 47 50 51. Will post after I get load order help from the Mod God and BOSS

list posted!

Posted by: Thomas Kaira Mar 20 2011, 05:52 AM

And now... (brace yourself) the SECOND load order!

You read right, I actually have two installations, fully modded, to play as I see fit (actually four, if you count Nehrim and the pure Vanilla game). The difference is this: instead of coaxing out the best graphics and diversity from Oblivion as I do in the first LO, this one is centered entirely around immersion. This means that most heavy hitting expansion mods (the ULs, Mart's Monster Mod, etc.) are gone, and some mods have been replaced with different ones (E.G., Better Cities for Open Cities).

As you can see, the backbone of this Load Order is almost the same as the previous one (OOO), but I'm doing some significantly different things here than I am with my previously posted LO.

And no, I did not axe the first one, it is still there. I use a handy program called http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=35263 to quickly and painlessly switch between the two depending on what I'm in the mood to play.

Posted by: Thomas Kaira Aug 17 2011, 07:42 PM

I've performed an overhaul of my load order!

The main attraction is that I have ditched Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul for the smaller, pure vanilla overhaul Tamriel Immersion Experience, which soft-unlevels the entire vanilla game's creature, equipment, and loot lists, and provides a number of interesting things for roleplayers, like secret passages into cities so that thief types can avoid the guarded gates, and making it much easier to catch diseases... you can even catch diseases from NPCs now, too!

An equipment rebalance is included, too, designed to make combat harsher. Coupled with LAME, melee vs. magic battles are actually quite a lot of fun!

And yes, due to the fact that I've performed a massive overhaul to how the game is meant to be played, that means the induction of a new character. This time I went a bit off-standard and am using a non-vanilla race. In this case, it is the Hidden Elf from RBP, which is derived from Ren's Mystic Elves mod, excellent for a pure spellcaster class. The story behind them is that they are long-lost descendants of the Ayleids, in hiding for centuries, and now so rare that due to their small stature, they are often mistaken as Bosmer.

He is, of course, a mage in the purest sense, and as such most of his majors are the Schools of Magicka (the only one that is not is Sneak). He does combat purely through magical means, which means he will not use any mundane weapons or armor at all, he can only use Bound equipment. If he needs armor, either a Shield spell or Bound Armor spells are what he can use, but he will never don mundane armor. Ever.

Posted by: Thomas Kaira Oct 9 2011, 01:22 PM

This is the current rendition:

Active Mod Files:

This load order was designed with three things in mind: building the most immersive and beautiful rendition of Cyrodiil possible (and I think I did a pretty good job here), putting back some the 'vanilla' game (all creatures and loot are vanilla once again), while continuing with ditching the level scaling (T.I.E.), and quest expansions that are unique and lore friendly (Lost Spires is gone, for instance).

Most recently added was Artifacts and Immersive Interiors. Artifacts was added because the new shop stocks plenty of robes (and my new mage likes his robes), a few new outfits (not many, but I got a nice riding outfit while visiting), and lots of new weapons and armor (bleh sleep.gif ). Immersive Interiors was added because, well... it's immersive, need I say more?

I used to have none for years but now Iīve got 10-15 or so. Itīs mostly minor things like not having the FG porter follow you around and having regular animals not attacking. I donīt use big one like Open Cities and I donīt use any overhaul.

Eighty-one. I have 81 esms and esps, according to the number of Form IDs in OBMM. Not all of these are active all the time though, some of them only get used for certain characters.

Come and think of it, I actually have more than 81. It's hard to say. Some mods don't include esms / esps, some of them will modify the game hiding in background. I estimate I've got another 10 of these, perhaps. So approximately 90 overall. That's twice my 'goal' from a year ago. I think I started Oblivion on PC almost a year ago. biggrin.gif To think it all started with Snaat Rayag in the Tutorial dungeon on my old PC (made for office work, not gaming), and I had no idea why the dungeon was so bright.

There it is, Crow. The good news is my mod-adding frenzy has slowed down dramatically. There's not much else I'm really craving to have in my game (yeah, I mean it this time), other than more peaceful critters. Unfortunately if a mod adds critters, it only adds hostile ones.

Renee's gone Mod-Wild!

Posted by: ArtemisNoir2 Feb 20 2015, 09:13 AM

Eh.... somewhere between 70 and 80 I guess... ohmy.gif
Basically, I'm trying to strike a balance between stripping away the things I don't like (thank the nines for darnified UI, which achieves about 60% of that), and adding in elements that I feel are lacking.. as well as some nice visuals. Some of these I won't be adding back in when I do a reinstall at some point in the future, but I am quite happy with this setup, for the most part.

Posted by: mirocu Feb 20 2015, 09:49 AM

My problem with many mods that add NPCs and houses etc is that even though they may fit in perfectly and all, I still know itīs a mod and I canīt stop noticing it. The only way for me around that is to add it all before I even start the game! tongue.gif

Actually I kinda did that with Morrowind. Though I didnīt add any NPCs or houses, but I did add graphic enhancers and I donīt notice them since I havenīt played without them.

Ahh, this is why I like to imagine Saga and Renee's game are 4th Era. It's how I 'explain' why there's some new stuff in their games. I sometimes will throw something into their gameworlds, and actually forget about it. This way, when I come upon some new village in the middle of the woods somewhere, it feels natural.

Yeah, I know, it's going around this time of year. Tell me about it. Hey, you know it's actually ZERO degrees today? OBMM has a button on the right side called Import/Export. Click on that, and then click on View Load Order and it will give you the list of all your active .esm and .esps. You can copy and paste that.

Posted by: Renee Gade IV Feb 20 2015, 11:58 PM

Very good, well here we go.

That's for Renee's game. Lady Saga's game and Snaaty's game have a few things different. Snaat Rayag has several skooma mods, for instance.

Posted by: gpstr Mar 27 2015, 03:22 AM

The specific set depends on the character. They all share the same landscape mods (all the ULs, all the ImpeREALs, Roads of Cyrodiil, Trails of Cyrodiil, Region Revive Lake Rumare, a bunch of villages and probably a few others), they all share the same body/hair mods (HGEC female, Roberts Male and an ever growing hair and eye compendium of my own), and they all share the same gameplay mods (DarnUI, HUD Status Bars, Enchanced Hotkeys, Custom Spell Icons, Map Marker Overhaul, Dynamic Map, Enchantment Restore over Time, Quest Award Leveller, and so on, and so on). They all get Spell Tomes, The Orrery and SI, and they all get most of my player houses (even though only one of my characters lives in each of them). Beyond that though, it starts to diverge. Only a few get KotN. Only a few get Mehrune's Razor. Only the fighters get armor and weapons and only the mages get robes and staves. Most of the DLC are saved only for the characters who actually live there, just because I don't want my other games cluttered up with messages about their new ownership of places in which they're never going to live, so Jana's the only one with Battlehorn and Ughoth's the only one with Frostcrag. Many of them have their own mods for the stuff that's specific to their games, so I've got a bunch of individual ones - HannaStuff and DawnStuff and ClaudiaStuff and so on.

The upshot? As of last night, I have 289 mods installed, and with Jana's game (the one I was playing then) 148 are active. That last is probably about average.

Posted by: Renee Mar 28 2015, 06:50 AM

I also am in the habit of using different mod sets with each of my 3 characters. I actually have a notepad page on which I post instructions on how to swap from one character to the next. I'll put it in the spoiler tag below.

Pretty technical, eh? laugh.gif Snaat Rayag's game has plenty of 'Deactivates", because his world is 3rd Era, which to me means it is similar to what I'd find in my console games. The main diff is he's a skooma dealer, so I added several skooma mods to his game. Renee Gade III's game is supposed to be 20 years into the 4th Era, so I like to go crazy with mods here, dumping a lot of things which I need to Activate, which makes it seem very unlike Snaaty's game.

Lady Saga is in the middle of these two: about 6 years into the 4th Era, so she's got a few things found in RG3's world, but not all of them.

Wow, that is some list Renee! You know the Oblivion Mod Manager can synchronize your mods for you. I don't think it will turn any off, but you can use it to view your savegames, and it will show you which mods are in use by that save, and you can have it automatically turn on all the ones it needs.

Oh I know I can use the manager to do this for me, but I like doing it my way because I get to review exactly what's going on with each character as I swap. I also have a terrible memory, so it helps if I go through my checklist, just to remind myself which mods are being used by whom. It's like I get more personally in-touch with their worlds.

The only thing that's tricky is I can't just swap from one character to the next day by day, like I did on PS3. I used to roll dice just to see who I'd be gaming with for the evening! But this is okay. I like spending several weeks or months with somebody nowadays, before moving on to somebody else.

mirocu: har har. You can relate. Har har
