I am guessing they've been edited by Kane's character. We'll have to wait for confirmation, looks like. This one's a rather mysterious start for the Fan Fiction section.

I'm using a mod called https://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/13462. It adds a holotape that you can pop into your Pip Boy or any terminal and write a journal as you play.
