I always prefer the books that give you knowledge on Tamrielic Lore, so, the Vampires of Vvardenfell I and II, the Corpse preparation series, 2920 etc etc...

I'm kinda peeved that the vampires in game didn't reflect the 'special abilities' Vampire of Vvardenfell mentioned.

The Quarra's rages. Berne's poisonous bite. Aundae's hypnosis...

I mean, it would have been cool if this shadowy figure leapt outta nowhere, bit you and vanished in the darkness, leaving a poison slowly sapping you of your strength...then when you're weak, the shadow figure returns...

....with friends.... devilsmile.gif

the only one i have ever read was this one about a chick who was an adept pickpocket who teamed up with a dumb barbarian. the barbarian always said a set of numbers and words, but i cant remember. she teamed up with him so he would kill the monsters and stuff, and she would unlock doors and stuff, then she would ditch him. they got to the treasure room and she got trapped in the room and he left with the loot. i cant remem what it was called, tho... wacko.gif
you can find the book in the storage part under the arena in vivec.

"Chance's Folly".

Good book. I always kinda felt bad for Chance, though. biggrin.gif

Join the club, I'm a thief... it could happen to me! (has happened, sort of, got caught on a big rock when levitating, a barbarian came along and beat me to death with a crummy iron warhammer.) Poor, Poor Chance has to learn to kill people Before getting to the treasure room, or to listen to crazy people smile.gif

Rainer loved The Real Barenziah, as well as the Ahzirr Trajijazaeri, and Chances Folly, and the Unnamed Book, as well as Silence, and Breathing Water, but he absolutely loved Feyfolkien.

My new character just went on a Cammonna Tong killing spree underneath Fat Leg's dropoff in Hla Oad. There, I read 'Suffeit of thieves' or something like that. The whole name thing was quite interesting, albeit a bit gruesome.

Read 'Tressed' backwards and you'll know what I mean. Let this be a lesson, don't take on other names than the one you're born with. And if you do take on an other name, make sure it won't lead you to trouble. smile.gif

I remember that book, great book there...I'm gonna go get it in MW and read it again.

Spirit of the Daedra and Ashland Hymns

I like Spirit of the daedra because it tells of the feelings and lives(somewhat) of the daedra. It kinda showed me that they arent just killing machines without feelings. Ashland Hymns, it just something that i really like to read from time to time... as somewhat of a lift-me-up thing for the day.

I also suggest that you read 'The locked room'. Very interesting book with a nice plot twist at the end. You can find one in the top level of Hlormaren Keep, north of Hla Oad.

If you like one with a sick plot twist, read the Palla series. I think it's just a two part series but the twist at the end made me cringe at the disturbingness of it. Soooo good though tongue.gif

I think that "A Dance in Fire" series and "Chance's Folly" both had incredibly surprising endings, I gotta say, they had some amazing writers working for them.

Yeah. 'Specially Ted Peterson (who wrote A Dance in Fire, and (IIRC) Chance's Folly (Along with many other books)) and Micheal Kirkbridge (Who wrote the 36 Sermons of Vivec). They're awesome. biggrin.gif

Progress Of Truth is one of the few I managed to read out. But maybe my favourite is... A Dance In The Fire.
