Acadian: Thanks for the comment.

I remember seeing everyone's sceenshots of their Elsweyr adventures, yours included. For years I've said I must take the tour some day. Both Elsweyr and Valenwood have exceeded my expectations. Now I know I'm not showing anything that most everyone here hasn't experienced before. It does give me a good feeling to know that my adventure brings back fond memories of such a well done mod creation to those who have played it.

One of the better parts of Anequina is seeing the different Khajiit variations. I had a little chuckle when you mentioned that along with ESO. I had just written a conversation between the Ladies and Jandaga about the very subject.

Duncori Walk is reminiscent of some area along the coast of Africa, look at that! wub.gif Or maybe Greece.

150 gold a night, whew! How much does Jandaga usually have on-hand?

I love all your conversation moments! Maybe it's unintentional, but a lot of them seem to be tongue-in-cheek humorous. tongue.gif

Jandaga once knew a lady who told him, "You're not a man if you don't have $100 in your wallet". A guy doesn't forget a thing like that. That was a long time ago and things have gone up. So now to be safe he makes sure he has more than enough on-hand. Right now though he has a little more than usual. It's been awhile since he's been to Imperial City to visit the bank. As a result he is currently carrying little over 200,000 gold pieces. His current bank account balance is 1,137,252.

Thank you for the comment. Most of the conversations are meant to be tongue-in-cheek humorous. A bit of poking fun at both my poor writing, and the TES lore that I don't agree with.

Beside that there's the party thing. I have four members in the party one male, three female; surely there must be some sort of emotional tie to bind them together? Surely they talk amongst themselves; gentle ribbing and flirtation and such?

20200403 Elsweyr –> Cyrodill
We left Corinthe right after lunch taking the road south a ways before turning east so we could see the waterfalls.

Come on, stay on the foot bridge.

A nice peaceful stroll through a coconut grove leading down to the sea was all it took to relax and get us to talking about things other than fighting beasties in the dark.

Did you notice the Royal Pahmar in Corinthe?” I asked Kaleah. “They were walking on all fours, like big cats. I’ve read that in the 2nd era they walked on two legs. I’ve even seen paintings with two-legged Pahmar.”

“Like the dunes in the desert the Khajiit are ever changing, my Feache,” replied Kaleah.

“Artistic license,” injected Maeva. “It depends on who wrote the book or painted the painting.”

Pym began crawling around on her hands and knees. Suddenly she jumped up and presses a handful of sand in my hand. It was slightly warm and comforting to the touch. Then Pym began dancing like a marionette, hopping one foot to the other. Again she grabbed a handful of sand and pressed it into my hand. It burned like fire.

Screaming bloody murder, I jerked my hand back, dropping the sand.

“Ok, ok, I get it. Pahmar are multi-gaited and can adapt to different conditions. Blame it on climate change, I guess. But, geez girl did you have to give me blisters!”

Big pools of tears welled up in Pym’s eyes. Now how can I stay angry with such an innocent looking face?

The discussion of the different Khajiit moon variations (lunarations) went on for quite awhile as we walked. Nearing the beach we were attacked by a fierce beast. Pym’s Sword of Nuada flashed once, twice and the beast was dead. Turning toward us, Pym gives us her brightest smile. Innocent, yet oh so vicious, that’s Pym our very own Hit-Girl.

Oh, so that’s a glyptodon. Good thing Pym was paying attention or I might have ended up with new legs.

Further up the shoreline we discovered a shrine. A totem carved in the likeness of a great horned bull dedicated to Ius.

It’s getting darker and forest is getting denser with each step. A bellow, the likes of which we haven’t heard in months of travel, pierces the silence. We look up just in time to see a young blue dragon swooping down upon us.

The little dragon out of the way we continued on in the ever increasing darkness until we came upon a small dock. A small tent with one knapsack was setup on the dock. We were all very tired so we didn't question whose tent it belonged to, we just crammed ourselves in like clowns in a VW.

After much jostling to get comfortable, the last thing I heard before falling sleep was Maeva asking, “What’s a VW?”

Goodness that's a lot of money!

What exactly is a VW? laugh.gif

Your writing isn't poor, it's entertaining. Here is an example of some poor writing.

------------------------------

Fredas, 9:52 am, Sun's Height 26, 3rd Era 434

Play Time: 301:06:42

Days Passed: 334

Location: Skingrad Wineries

"What do you want?!"

A lady huffs by. She says so sharply. Sarcastically. An edge to her voice. It's a tone the Redguard has heard many times, in many places. He breaks out of his reverie, unsure if the lady, Bernadette Peneles, is serious about getting an actual response from him. He hems for a moment.

"Well I--"

The moment is gone. Wasn't Bernadette that lady Glarthir wanted me to spy on? ... Well, off she goes, to tend to her row of grapes. Off she goes, to make an honest and decent living, under what would probably be oppressive summer heat, once the skies cleared.

The Redguard stands a moment. Tries to remember which hooved beast he came in on. For there are three hooved beasts, all of them horses, tethered before Skingrad's West Gate: two bays and an obvious Legion steed. It begins to rain while the Redguard tries to decide between the three. So much for oppressive summer heat.

"It's you," says an Imperial man abruptly from behind, causing the Redguard to flinch. 'Hi." He's headed back into town, probably because of the sudden rain.

"How are you?" A Breton.

"The Gray Fox protects you."

The Redguard's face flinches again. It's Shameer who blurts that final comment. Must they always be so fokkinge obvious? .. The Redguard makes a shushing movement, placing three fingers to his lips. Motions for Shameer to keep moving.

And goes back to his decision making.

IPB Image

He realizes that everyone is gone, all the wine-makers, and even the guards. He smirks. Suddenly, the gloomy morning rain doesn't seem so gloomy anymore.

"You are the rat, and you are the cat. You are the one who's got the hat."

He grins wildly, because he's just chosen the Imperial steed. Yes! The best choice of all! It'll be like thumbing his nose at every guard he gallops by. It would also be the most unreliable in the long run, apparently the Imperials bred their horses to go ... somewhere else, after a set amount of time passed. But at least he wouldn't need to ride it for long.

"Ready to rush away? Today's your lucky day," he quips. He can already imagine the surprises he'll fetch, once he's back on the Waterfront.

He grabs the horse's upper saddle mount. Hoists himself upwards. Gazes into the gloom, for somebody is suddenly rushing near.

Hey, I just realized that viewing this page through Google Chrome makes the entire page stretch because of that picture. But it looks okay with Firefox or IE. So try those browsers instead.

macole – A delightful blend of beautifully tropical scenery and insightfully hilarious conversation.

Renee – And the Weet Bandit in Skingrad as he tries to choose a horse to steal and you poke fun at some of the in-game dialogue. tongue.gif

After reading the stories written by some very good authors in this and other forms and after nearly 4-years of practice I hope I've improved somewhat. It's good feeling to know someone finds it enjoyable. Forgive me if I ramble.

Renee: This one "You are the rat, and you are the cat. You are the one who's got the hat." made me think of The Cat In The Hat. So I went searching and found The Cat With A Rat. It’s about a girl and her cat and the cat’s little rat and the rat’s little hat which was bright, bright red.

Fit so well I wonder if you had ever read of that.

The Jandaga found out later after he had fallen asleep (I thought of it and added it to my permanent copy after I submitted the post) that Kaleah answered Maeva's VW question with, "It's a kind of beetle." To which Maeva replied, "Oooh." like that made all the sense in the world.

A Weet Bandit story? Just before Easter week? And it plays out in Skingrad, just when a certain Dunmer is heading that way.

This is AWESOME! cool.gif

20200408 The Fang of Anequina – Forsaken Mine
Kaleah being an early riser flew over to investigate a nearby shipwreck. She arrived back at camp and told us of the find during breakfast. The desire to explore the wreckage of the Southern Wind grew by the minute and with great anticipation we prepared ourselves for an underwater exploration.

I should have gone alone as the Ladies really did not do o well while diving inside the sunken ship. Don’t know what was the matter, they usually do much better underwater but Kaleah and Maeva kept passing out forcing me to stop whatever I was doing and give them mouth to mouth resuscitation.

The biggest deep sea slaughter fish we’ve ever seen attacked us soon after we enter the wreckage. Inside its gullet we found a key. Thinking it might be useful we held on to it.

In another cabin we discovered the skeleton of the ship’s captain. He shows evidence of torture. We can only guess why this happened to the captain of the Southern Wind. Was it mutiny or pirates?

Among the bones there was another key.

One of the keys unlocked the hatch leading to the captain’s cabin. There, in the cabin was a display case containing two swords and a scroll. The second key, the one we found on the Captain’s skeleton opened the display case.

Reading the scroll we discover that we had found the Fangs of Anequina. Two curved swords; one two-handed and the other a one-handed sword. Specially forged to be presented as gifts these two beautiful and meticulously forged swords are now ours.

Taking our new trophies we left the wreckage of the Southern Wind and headed up the coast toward Leyawiin. There was still some time left to the day when we passed by Forsaken Mine. There’s time enough left in the day to take a look and make it to town for the night.

The mine is pitch black so we pull out the torches and the Blackluster Crown of Light so we could see what we’re doing. WOW! Forsaken Mine is a Snus fantasy dream.

The mine is crawling with some of the meanest and savage trolls we’ve yet seen. At one point Kaleah puts away her bow, draws her sword, and takes the lead with Pym to hack our way through the narrow tunnels.

After a fierce battle we stop and stare at a rock formation (Snus Dungeon). Is it a natural stone formation, an illusion caused by the eerie light in the mine, or what? It certainly looks like a lizard-man face.

After defeating a slew of trolls and looting a few chests we leave the Forsaken Mine for Leyawiin and a goodnight’s sleep at my luxurious Leyawiin home. Ah, who am I trying to kid, it’s a dump.

A Great White Slaughterfish! Yikes!

Forsaken Mine sure looks lush and spooky with that mod treatment.

And finally back to Cyrodiil.

Snus Dungeons is more than a little over the top with the vegetation but I’ve grown accustom to it. What I really like though is the discovery of the unusual and unexpected features. The lizard-man face in the rock wall is a good example. It gives playing the archeologist searching for lost antiquities purpose.

I tried Snus long ago but couldn't get used to it. Dungeons I had been long-familiar with were now completely different, and I had some problems trying to justify this in roleplay terms. Better Cities I can work with. I just pretend that all that extra growth in the towns has happened as the 4th Era has progressed. But for some reason I couldn't get used to Snus, though it is very well-done.

Too bad your party hasn't got Water Breathing spells! That is one huge slaughterfish. Gosh, I'd be claustrophobic.

Thanks for kind comments to Kahreem's return. macole: That probably is from Cat in the Hat, could be. mirocu, Acadian, Lopov: As you folks know, writing Kahreem is the exact opposite to writing Goblin Lady or Sarah or those other more extensive stories. I had to remember how to do it!

Looking forward to more Jandaga. Can you tell us the names of your party though, and their roles? I only know Jandaga, who I assume is the basic leader.

Renee: Looking forward to more Jandaga. Can you tell us the names of your party though, and their roles? I only know Jandaga, who I assume is the basic leader.

You’re asking me do something dangerous and that is to think. I’m not too good at role descriptions.

The three traveling with Jandaga at the moment are Kaleah the Succubus, Maeva a Cute Elf, and Pym the Silent One.
Their roles are still evolving. Kaleah’s role is complicated. Pym reminds me of HitGirl in the first Kick A movie with the way she smiles after she dices up a foe. Maeva, a CuteElf rotates in the party with a few other companions that usually are stationed guarding my homes.

The primary role of my ladies is to keep Jandaga (me) from harm. A role they sometimes take too zealously. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been shot in the back while I’m in close combat. A secondary role is to aid Jandaga in his mission to uncover irrefutable evidence that the Sylphim Faerie exists. Jandaga is searching for his roots, so to speak. They point things out and discuss objects found with the notion that not every artifact is of Ayleid origin.

A bio on Kaleah;
Kaleah – A CM Partner by Divine Avenger, succubus version – She’s the second companion I ever installed, definitely the first CM Partner. Her voice is Calisto from Brucevayne’s Companion Sound Sets. She has the most wicked laugh.

Kaleah is the Jandaga’s devoted companion, she often calls him affectionately “Feache” or “my pretty little Feache”. On rare occasions Kaleah has been known to call Jandaga by his true name. It's considered a very high show of respect, unless it's accompanied with the words "I banish you".

Jandaga first encountered Kaleah in Daggerfall when during a quest the villain summoned Daedra Seducers to kill the agent. Not knowing who she was at the time, Jandaga banished her to the void with his sword.
Years later in Morrowind, after learning a spell to summon a seducer (my own companion mod) Kaleah appeared. Why she didn’t leave when the time was up she wouldn’t say.
Again many years later when Jandaga arrived in the Imperial City there she was at The Feed Bag, waiting for him to show up. Instead of the expected battle she joined Jandaga as a companion.

The Jandaga has often asked her why she stays. At first her answer was that she was bound by some convoluted Daedric code of honor but the last few times she gets really frustrated and just stammers I, I, I,,, like she can’t get the next word out. Then she storms off screaming, “If you don’t know by now!” Jandaga is left scratching his head. She is a Daedra after all

20200413 Leyawiin, Merendin
The day of shopping began with turning 27 black bows in for the bounty. The Count gladly pays us the set bounty and we gladly take it. Kaleah is probably happiest of all. She’d been carrying those bows for a long time.

Prices may not be as good as in the Imperial city but we like the shop owners at Best Goods and Guarantees and The Dividing Line so we sell almost everything we have been carrying.

Stopping by the Mages Guild we heard rumors that evidence of a shipwreck off the southern shores was washing up on the beaches. This could be a lead in one of the Stranded Light effort in Breaking the Monopoly and warrants looking into.

Thirty thousand gold pieces richer we left Leyawiin to visit our old friend Mazoga. Even though it’s mid afternoon she’s sleeping when we arrive. She’s doing well, planning on hunting bandits later this evening. Leaving the White Stallion Lodge we pause for a moment to take in the view.

The Silver Sky Temple still floats over the Niben. It’s been nearly a year since we aided Kikyo in defeating the evil Athena and Kikyo hasn’t begun the arduous journey back to the Eastern Land. That’s alright by me, kind of grown used to seeing the big rock in the sky.

Kaleah leans close and whispers, “You just like talking to the vendors.”

Well, um, can't argue with that. Hmmm, do we want to visit the clan leader at Silver Sky Temple this trip or wait until the next time we pass through? We’ll wait till next time.

Going back to Leyawiin Mages Guild we look up the Guild Guide Yaranil to have her send us to Merendin. Before doing so Yaranil asks if we would deliver a message for her. Automatically we agree. Just need to know where to deliver it. Then she hands us a cryptic riddle and tells us the riddle points to the location.

Back in Merendin, we inform Karashivuel that Leshruzay is suffering from Order Taint. Karashivuel gives us a foul tasting brew and a set of behavior changing instructions to give to Leshruzay. If she follows the instructions Leshruzay will be cured of the taint within a couple of weeks.

Speaking to Tesserayial, we report that Entaiss has been banished but not by us. After showing her the shrapnel from a Sword of Order Tesser becomes concerned that the rogue Xivilai we had banished has returned. Please that we had come straight away to her with the information and not discussed it with anyone else, she rewarded me with an Azura’s Star.

Befuddled, I took the star, much to Tesserayial amusement. Tesserayial explained that Azura has more than one star to hand out if she so desired.

It’s late so we find an empty bed and retire for the night.

It is probably the mods that I run that you don't recognize.

Better Cities makes the biggest changes to Leyawiin, especially to the docks south of the city. The Lost Spire and Integration – The Stranded Light also make some minor additions.

The floating island near the White Stallion Lodge belongs to Hentai Mania 2. I know we all laugh at the thought of HM2 but surprisingly it played an important role in Jandaga’s story. I usually post a page at a time, the ending of HM2 was spread over 3-pages.

It’s unfortunate that this story started on another site in 2017. Guess you could say that a lot of adventure and character development is missing. Though with my story telling that’s not a great loss.
