"Konrad, what the hell are you doing here?!! Go back to the group." Niran said.
Anthanes appeared out of his invisibility, grinning.
"I'm here too, just so you know."
"Damn it guys, this is going to be a problem. We can't have a group traveling with us, it'll attract attention!"
"On the contrary. A group would be more able to defend themselves and you're less likely to be noticed when there are three other people with you than when there's only one. And anyway, someone has to keep you kids alive."
Jonacin showe Sul-Matuul/Nibani (still not sure of the name  ) the map taht he had been given by the mage. She told him that the ruin was south of Rotheran Fortress, near a Daedric ruin. He thanked her and left the yurt, heading East towards the ruins.
Konrad laughed. "Yeah, we need to stop you criminals from getting arrested...speak of the devils." 5 imperial guards ran up to them, directing questions of who the group of 4 were to Niran.
Anthanes looked to the others to determine what their course of action would be, getting a spell ready to conjure up a potent fireball.
Niran ignored the guards, and continued walking.
(OOC: Someone else control them.)
OOC: That'd be Konrad seeing as he made them appear
Sel stopped. "Erm...We were scared of the murderer, so we were leaving the city." he said off the top of his head.
The guard regarded him. "Selenil Vendas?"
"Who the hell is that?" Sel asked.
"Don't play games with me you sick honoured user. I've heard of what you've done."
There was no use denying it anymore. He had hoped they wouldn't notice him, and they did.
"Leave, or I will do the same to all of you." he warned.
"You're coming with us." they ordered. "And if you refuse..." the guard continued, drawing his sword.
Lucus and Caecilius, the two captains, stood in front of Niran, swords drawn. "Tell us immediately who you are, and where you are going....or we will gut you all." the two said in unison, as the three others surrounded the group, trying to grab hold of Athanes and Konrad.
Konrad cried out as he was jerked backwards and held in position. He struggled but was unable to release the iron grip of the trained soldiers. He wondered how 5 cyrodils were working in Balmora.
Niran looked at the two guards
"Excuse me, but what exactly makes you so supiscious of a group of adventurers travelling on their way and not causing any trouble."
Niran said this as he slowly reached for his dagger.
As soon as the guards lunged towards him, Anthanes shot his fireball towards the Imperials, ignoring Niran's attempts to buy time. "Eat mage-fire, cretins!"
Sel looked around at everyone.
"Konrad, Anthanes! Stop. Let them take us." he said. "No need for four criminals when there are only two."
OOC: Seriously. How are we ever gonna get to jail with you guys killing the guards?
Hearing the sound of Wizard's fire behind him, Megil turns back to balmora, seeing a group of travellers fending of some guards.
"Three guesses as to who cast the spell" said Megil to the group, not stoping or turning back to help.
Niran removed his hand from his belt where his sisters dagger was and looked at the guards.
"I am Niran, the one you've been looking for to punish for the murders of two imperial officers and two imperial prison guards. How long has it been now, a few weeks. Why, you're rather slow aren't you."
nevermind
or after konrad, who rudely skipped me...
One of the guards rushing towards Anthanes screamed in agony and fell into a heap, but the other just laughed and tapped his amulet. Rushing forwards and bring his arms round Anthanes neck, he tried to hold him in position.
Caecilius snorted. "My guards are dealing with your friends. One thing we find suspicious is that your friend just dmitted that you two are criminals. Anopther is that that child was running full pelt through a crowd of people. We are arresting you all." Lucus moved in on Niran unexpectedly, getting behind him and gripping him in a headlock, and Caecilius laughed. "The Dunmer may walk beside us as he is the only reasonable one among you..the rest of you are being chained."
OOC: Urp! hope everything goes well! Sorry! I forgot posting, and skiped all the recent RPers! :paperbag:
Sel was surprised that they would let him walk....he would take what he could get though.
"So, where are you taking us?" Sel asked the nearest guard.
"Fort Moonmoth."
"Ah." Sel replied. He was still wondering why they didn't take his sword....
Anthanes muttered. "Do you know who I am, fools? No, you obviously do not. My vengeance shall be quite bloody."
(OOC: What! Niran didn't attack them now! Niran escaped from an Imperial prison in his fanfic once and he'll do it again, even if he is chained. Also I edited out the part about him giving his sister's dagger to Konrad, the brat doesn't deserve it. And they don't know he has it, okay!)
The guards led the group to Moonmoth (Wherever that is) and after an uneventful journey (No breaking free!) they stood them up to the captain of the guard there.
"Sir, we have some guard killers. The dunmer is nice enough, though he admits to being a criminal. The rest are lunatics. Shall we lock 'em up?" Lucus asked.
"No no no! that would put the guard to shame, we must hear what they say first." replied the captain.
"Well..." Sel began. "I killed a criminal and was named a criminal." he answered vaguely.
OOC: Yeah I am, be patient you unpatient person you.
"I was defending my fellows who, while they might be a little bit unhinged, are on a quest of importance beyond your pitiful understanding. May I add that the Mages' Guild will -not- be pleased by this?"
By Boethiah, those fools are in for a bloody surprise...
"What the hell am I suppose to say, oh I know. How about, the emperor is a honoured user!" Niran said angrily.
OOC: yes, he is.
"Seconded." , Anthanes said with a sneer.
"You aren't making this any better." Sel muttered.
He looked to the captain. "Are you going to let us go, or what?"
Oh, forget it.
The captain scowled deeply, rubbing his chin. "I shall let the Dunmer go on watch, but the mage shall be locked up. This furcifer shall be hanged by tomorrow." He gestured towards Niran with contempt. "The child is too young, he can go with the dunmer."
OOC: Konradude, seriously, stop skipping people
Anthanes sighed heavily.
Hah. The fools. I can bring ruin to their whole petty fort with my magics, and most certainly will. They will not have an anti-magic cell.
OOC: When he's shoved into a cell, please post if he can still access his magicka in there or not
OOC: I know, sorry. I'm trying. I'm also kicking myself right now if that's anby compensation.
Guards will be watching Sel and following him around from a distance. Their names are Quintus and Secundus if you want to know.
"Okay...so I'm free to go, just as long as these guards follow me around?" Sel asked. They must not have heard about hwat he had done - they were letting him off easy for killing a Cammona Tong bigwig...
OOC: so it's like probation?
OOC: I suppose.
The captain of the guard called in two young men, both bowing to him. "Secundus, Quintus, you are to watch these criminals with eagle eyes. Anything slightly suspicious and report. Anything criminal you kill."
He sent 3 guards over to Niran. "If you have nothing to say you are being taken to solitary confinement to await your death. You are in the east wing, E9, so you can see the sun rise just in time for your end."
He finally ordered two guards over to the mage, both wielding 80% reflect shields. "You are to be put in a tower a half-league away from the facility. We have a small camp there, but it is not noticed. We put a cloak over it. It has reflecting walls on the inside of your cave...Uh cell, so don't try anything."
the guards walked off with their assigned prisoners, while the two younger men waited silently for Sel and Konrad to leave. the captain finished his goblet of wine and walked past Niran, making a slight strangling gesture, mocking him.
Niran's face didn't show the least bit of remorse when the man said "hanged by morning" .
"Yeah, my spirit will bother the hell out of you."
Niran was joking even in spite of his sentence.
Anthanes smirked, allowing himself to be taken.
The fools. That just means I can't cast any spells affecting them directly...I think. Let's see what they'll do when they find a few Daedra in their little camp.
OOC: Does that mean no spellcasting or no spellcasting at the walls or no spellcasting at people that aren't you?
OOC: we're saying you can't cast spells period. makes for a more interesting play. And I know what reflect does, but it's more interesting if he can't cast spells....just make the guards slap a slaves; bracer on him.
"Come on Konrad." Sel said.
It will be easy to get away with my amulet...but how do we get Anthanes out and Niran off the gallows? Sel wondered.
Sel approached one of the guards. he hoped his conversation with the guard would give Konrad a clue as to what he was planning.
"So, once we get OUTSIDE, we can go our SEPARATE ways?" Sel asked. (He's telling Konrad to run off, so they have one guarda piece.)
"No. You two have to stay together." the guard replied dutifully.
"But I hate this brat." Sel protested, just so the conversation wouldn't seem suspicious.
OOC: Uh, I'm not certain. Dantrag? What exactly are the rules of reflect oh great one?
OOC: Reflect will flip a spell cast at the person under reflect back at the person who cast it.
but how do we get Niran off the gallows?
OOC: You don't, just leave him there, he'll escape on his own.
Konrad replied back. "Hey! So now you let it out! Well I hate you too then!" konrad scowled and went beside him, berating the guard. The guard disagreed, and gestured over for Secundus to join him. "
Get going, now. i want you out in 3 seconds or the archer shoot you down like alits." commanded Quintus.
Sel needed no second warning. He grabbed Konrad's arm and activated his amulet, making him and Konrad appear in front of a sleeping Celia.
"Fun." Sel muttered. "Damned guards."
Konrad floundered, waving his arms about to keep his balance. "By Azura! Give me some warning next time!" Konrad shouted at Sel, looking down at Celia. "so now what? We getting reinforcements?" he enquired, crouching down beside the dozing figure.
"No - we're going back for Anthanes and Niran." Sel replied. "Just without pesky guards watching us."
"So what are we doing with the Altmer then?" Konrad asked rudely, standing on a bag of flour and sending a cloud of white dust erupting out of the sack.
'Hurry quick! Women and children in the stronghouse! Hurry, they're coming!" Falx's eyes fluttered open, "What the hell, and for once I was having a good dream"
His gazed wandered out of the window, and to his surpise numerous werewolves lurked outside the house.
"Damn..."
In the Stronghouse..
"Is everyone okay?" The village elder looked around on the crowded townspeople, "Is everyone here and acounted for Brutus?"
"Sir... There's one still out there. Remeber the man that Mr. Afer took in? Well sir, he's still in their house" Brutus was a strong young man, merely 17 years of age yet incredibly skilled in the usage of bows.
The elder rubbed his wrinkled chin, "Hmm" His face turn downcast before saying, "..May the god's have mercy on his soul" The elder stepped from his spot and sat down.
"But sir!" The young man pleaded, "We can't just leave him there! Surely the wolves will find him! We've got to do something!"
"Listen boy! I will not endanger the lives of our town for a stranger. The man doesn't even know he is! Perhaps this is the god's will.."
"Sir..." the boy tried to continue
"Enough! I have made the decision and that is final!"
Mr. Afers Home
Falx quickly put on his borrowed clothes, not bothering to wash. "Great, they leave me here, alone.." He stopped for a second and pondered that, "No, nevermind, not alone. In the company of werewolves!" Calmly he searched the house for anything that could be classified as a werewolf fighting weapon. The Knight found it odd that he knew how to fight a werewolf, but not anything of his name...
Part I
They pushed Niran into a small cell and closed the door.
He sat against the wall with his hands behind his head.
Celia slept heavily for awhile now, until her nose started feeling ticklish. Then, she breathed in some sort of dust and sneezed.
Now awake, she stretched herself and stood up--
And saw, right in front of her, Konrad and Sel.
"Oh!" She jumped a foot from the floor, startled. Then, she said sternly, "Warn a girl, why don't you?"
"there was no time for warnings - they caught me, thanks to Niran."
"We're going to Fort Moonmoth to rescue Niran from the gallows and Anthanes from prison...coming?" Sel asked.
Anthanes' longsword was confiscated by the Imperials, but they didn't bother to remove his armor, confident that he wouldn't need it.
Anthanes and his escort of guards set out from Fort Moonmoth. They hadn't made it that far away from the fort before Anthanes pointed at the sky with a grave look on his face.
"Look, a pack of cliffracers. I don't like the look of this."
"Huh?" , the guards replied, both of them at the same time.
As the guards looked up, Anthanes rammed his steel-clad elbow into the face of the guard left of him which was not protected well by the open Imperial helm. The guard staggered back, groaning in pain.
"I don't see any cliffrac---HEY! What're you doing?" , the other guard exclaimed as he turned around. Anthanes muttered an incantation and a minor daedric spirit, taking the form of a razor-sharp longsword, appeared in his hand. The guard unsheathed his broadsword, made of Cyrodiilic steel, and sent a rather clumsy blow against the battlemage.
Anthanes gripped his bound longsword in both hands and landed a blow on his opponent's weapon, shattering it into pieces. Before the Legionary could react, Anthanes raised the sword over his head and brought the blade down in a sweeping arc, severing the Imperial's head. The Daedric sword-spirit flickered and dissappeared.
The remaining guard started regaining control over himself and blinked as he saw his beheaded fellow soldier. He reached for his sword, and saw it in the hands of the Battlemage, who rammed it into the soldier's belly. The Legionary gurgled and fell down onto the ground.
Anthanes looked at the two corpses, and smirked.
Send better men next time.
He began to walk back to Balmora, avoiding the main road.
OOC: This post might get edited
Celia stood dumbfounded. "Gallows? Prison? Wha-what did you guys do this time!" She rolled her eyes and sighed an exasperated, unusual of her, but she was not in the most of sympathic of moods and Niran has pushed her to the limits. "Niran, Niran, Niran."
She held out her hand to Sel, a small smile on her face. "Lead the way then, silly Dunmer!"
"Let's go then." Sel said.
He seemed to just now notice that Konrad was covered in flour.
"Come on, Konrad." he said, laughing.
He lead the way out the door and towards Fort Moonmoth, the sun was rising - morning would come soon.
OOC: no you don't lonewolfie
Anthanes sat on a ridge, overlooking Fort Moonmoth. [OOC: Moonmoth's built in a mountainous area] He had to get Niran out of there somehow...But how? I'll have to find the others...Can dispatch of the cretins hounding them too, no doubt...
He cast a levitation spell and began travelling to Balmora. Until he saw some familiar shapes in the distance, that was.
After several hours of travelling, Jonacin reached the Dwemer ruins. He walked up to the heavy doors and made sure he had all his gear ready. He had bought two enchanted amulets specifically for the trip, namely Mark and Recall amulets. Using the Mark amulet, he set the marker just outside the door. Then he pushed them open and walked inside
(OOC: I'm in a different place so it won't matter.)
The guard opened the cell door, startling Niran.
"Stand up," he said "Eat this now." he threw some bread an Niran. Niran instead of eating it threw it back.
"Fine then," the guard said, he tied Niran's hand "Go," the guard said, and followed after Niran with his sword at the ready should the fool try anything on the short walk to the gallows.
Niran gazed hopelessly at the beautiful sunrise.
Mage
Arcyakt sat at the end of a long table, in the entryway, facing the door.
"Ah, Jonacin." the mage greeted. "I thought you would join me with some...company." he said cordially.
"Come, join me at the table. Have some wine. It's quite good - from Sommerset Isle as a matter of fact."
"I'm not interested in your........hospitality" Jonacin growled. "Where's Serene?"
"I'm not interested in your........hospitality" Jonacin growled. "Where's Serene?"
"You will have to endure my hospitality, if you want Serene back." Arcyakt said forcefully. "Now sit."

Seeing no other way to get Serene back, Jonacin grabbed the seat furthest from the mage, reversed it and sat astride it, leaning his arms on the backrest

Mage
"See?" Arcyakt began. "Is it so hard to be agreeable?"
His face went solemn. "Now on to business - I want Serene here, mainly because Azura has chosen your lover as her personal vessel. But I am willing to part with this fine specimen if you do me a favor. And before you say a word, think on this - you can never enter the place where she is held, unless you are me, or I allow you to."
He leaned forward and put his arms on the table. "You will trade her for a newcomer to your little group. His name is Megil - I do not belive you have met, so it should not be too hard on your conscience."

"and what's stopping me from killing you and freeing Serene without betraying my principles?
Fenris sat in the Eight Plates, slumped over on the table, ten or so empty bottle of Sujamma on the table. In his drunken sleep he mumbled.
"Stand still," the guard said as he motioned for another to remove the body of an Imperial man from the ropes and drag it away.
"Now walk!" the guard said.
It was Niran's turn now.
Mage
Arcyakt sighed. "Jonacin, Jonacin. I just went over this. You could never reach her, even if you knew where she was."
He stared into Jonacin's eyes. "Do we have a deal or not?"

And i'm supposed to just believe that if i agree to do this you'll release her?"
Mage
"I am not that stupid, Jonacin." Arcyakt began angrily. "I wil wait until I have Megil in my hands before you will get Serene back. Now answer the question before the chance is gone - along with your other arm." Arcyakt said in an angry threatening tone.
Niran stepped up to the rope, and looked around.
Damn it

"Threatening me is not a good way to get me to co-operate"
Mage
"Quit stalling the inevitable." Arcyakt said, now composed. "Don't let me get to one."
"Five....four.....three...."
Anthanes motioned to follow him as he levitated over the mountains towards fort Moonmoth. Just in time it would seem.
Okay, time to act...
Anthanes shot a lightning bolt towards the executioner, at the same time sweeping down with a daedric sword-spirit in hand. He landed gracefully on the courtyard and glared mockingly at the gathered Legionaries.
Niran stepped up to the rope, and looked around.
Damn it
Sel watched as Niran walked up onto the gallows.
"Damn!" he whispered to himself.
He pushed his way through the crowd, his sword in hand. He jumped up onto the platform, keeping the recently shocked executioner occupied, glad for the help of the battlemage.
"Run, Niran!"
OOC: thought you wanted to get out of it yourself...
OOC: Nevermind, he can be rescued.
[OOC: Could've said that earlier.]

"Damn you!" Jonacin shouted.
"You love this don't you? Watching me betray my principles for the woman i love! I swear by Onsi and Leki, I will have your head!"
Hanging his head in shame, Jonacin whispered "Teleport me to the others and i'll get you your man"
Mage
"Yes, I do enjoy it." he admitted with a smile just before teleporting Jonacin away. "Very much."

OOC: And Jonacin is back, and he is both pissed off and upset
Megil ahd just sat down after a several hour walk to Ald'Ruhn. Arco apart from being dead less than a day ago, seemed to have the stamina of a young hare. You could just barely make out the mountains of Ald'Ruhn in th distance. Megil was just starting a fire for breakfast when he heard rustling in the trees a few meters behind him. Arco and Shadow were dosing a few feet from megil.
Jonacin walked out of a stand of trees. He saw a young man, and assumed this was the one the mage wanted. He grabbed him by the arm, and activated his recall amulet.
Niran reached down with his tied hands and grabbed his sisters dagger, using it to cut the binding on his hands. He then put it back and unsheathed his sword.
"Hey, let me go" he screamed at his assailant. Looking around he realized he wasn't in the woods anymore
"where are we? Who are you?" he demanded. He tried casting a spell, but foun himself unable to tap into his magicka. He knew then that this was far worse than a ruffian. It had to be Arcyatk.
"What do you want with me you mage"
OOC: no idea lonewolf had marked outside so...
OOC: are you inside, or just outside the door?
A few Legionaries ran up to Anthanes and began attacking him.
Anthanes dodged the blows with surprising agility for someone in heavy armor and twirled around, performing a complex whirlwind attack.
The Imperials fell, either dead or very close to it, and the Daedric sword-spirit flickered and dissappeared. Anthanes picked up two of the swords from the fallen soldiers, getting into a combat stance as he sneered at the remaining legionaries. Noticing Niran was free he grinned.
"Anyone else of you Imperial dogs want some?!"
OOC: Just outside the door
IC: "Shut up boy. I'll hate having to do this, but right now i have need of you". As he said this, he pushed the doors open with his shoulder
In Sel's opinion, his work was done - Niran was freed.
He jumped back into the crowd, sheathing his sword.
He found Celia and Konrad. "Let's go back now." he suggested. "Before this gets ugly."
Mage
"That was fast." Arcyakt remarked cheerfully. "Bring him here." he ordered Jonacin.
Niran fought several of the guards, till he grew tired. Then he took off after Sel, now he was wanted for two more murders.
Anthanes ran after them, throwing a few of his 'grenades' into the soldiers to prevent them from following him.
Megil kicked and flailed but to no avail. Whomever this guy was had an extraordinarily strong grip on him. He raised his head to the voice coming from the other side of the room and he saw a man standing there. Immediatly Megil's gut was filled with dread and he stopped flailing.
"you...yo..you're arcyatk" he said barely above a whisper.
Mage
"That was fast." Arcyakt remarked cheerfully. "Bring him here." he ordered Jonacin.
"First bring Serene out"
Mage
"Jonacin, do not try to play games with me." he said as he forced Megil to him with a telekinesis spell.
"Here is your love." he said, snapping his fingers. Serene appeared in front of Jonacin, crumpled up on the ground. "Though I don't know how much she will love you once she learns of what you have done."
Megil tried to resist the spell, but only felt his energy drained, sweat collected on his forehead as he tried to push against the will of this mage. After much straining he managed to turn his head enough to see the man at the door. He wasn't alone anymore, there was a beautiful woman on her knees next too him.... The spell was to strong and his head snapped back looking at the mage. He had an evil smirk on his face. Megil couldn't take it much more, he tried to keep his vision from growing blurry.
Too powerful
"I can live with that, as long as she is free. And i will get him out of your grip". With that, Jonacin picked up Serene, turned and left. He walked back to the Urshilaku camp, and left Serene with the Ashlanders. Then he went to a secluded spot on the shore and broke down in tears, thinking about what he had just done
OOC: Whoops, sorry Megil
Mage
"Empty threats and promises." Arcyakt said to Jonacin's back. "that's all that honor is, once you really look at it."
he turned to Megil, releasing his hold over the dunmer. "So, Slave of Azura, Who will save you now? There is no ocean for the goddess to save you from here." he said with a wicked smile.
"Now eat. I want a nice chat." he said as cheerfully as he could. "I am warning you, however, do not try to do anything hostile, or I will not hesitate to worsen your living conditions."
after megil....and lonewolf if he has to edit.
you're a pro at skipping megil, lonewolf...lol. :lmao:
OOC: I always forget the posting thing, i just go ahead and start typing
So shut up and post yours already
Megil fell to the floor and hit it with a thud, a loud ring echoing through his head. He managed to pull himself up onto a chair, where he found food and drinkin front of him. He wasn't hungry, but he ate anyways figuring if he didn't eat know it may be days before he would eat again. He body hurt to much for him to try an offensive. He glanced up at the mage, who was sitting at the end of the table, two or three seats away. After swallowing some food he spoke,
"What do you want with me?"
OOC: I'm not actually posting......
Mage
"How often does Azura speak to you?" Arcyakt asked, actually surprised that Megil did not try anything.
"Often enough, in my dreams or meditation usually." He said between bites of food. Megil tried to organize his thoughts but it seemed futile. he couldn't concentrate on anything apart from the mage's questions and the food in front of him. He was actually surprised he ate the food, it could have been poisoned afterall.
Jonacin didn't know how long he sat on that beach. All he knew was that when he finally went back to the camp, it was late night. He entered the Ashkan's yurt, asking if he could sleep there for the night. When he was told that it would be a pleasure, he stopped in on Serene. She was still unconcious. He went back to the Ashkan's yurt, and went to sleep
Mage
"Well when she comes next time, tell her I would like a word." he said with a grin. "We will speak again tomorrow."
He immediately teleported Megil to an extra-dimensional cell - a black sphere that he had now used on three of the group members - Sel, Serene, and now Megil.
Megil found himself in darkness, he felt around him with his arms, he felt on side of his cell, he ffollowed it around and tried to step towards it, but his foot hit and angled surface and slid down.
how odd this place seems t have no floor. He couldn't find any corners either. he couldn't see anything except for himself.
"Hmm a black prison with no hopes of escape evident, only on thing to do."
Megil sat down crossed his legs and closed his eyes, entering a state of meditation in hopes of regaining some of his energy
Mage
Arcyakt watched Megil through his magic mirror.
Yes, Megil. Meditate. Have Azura visit you. he thought to himself.
Call for her, Megil. See if she comes to your aid. Arcyakt sent telepathically to Megil.
If she didn't come to the dunmer, Arcyakt would be able to cast doubt in him, and maybe even have a chance to turn him, if she did come, he could speak to his nemesis.
A win-win situation.
Jonacin walked out of a stand of trees. He saw a young man, and assumed this was the one the mage wanted. He grabbed him by the arm, and activated his recall amulet.
Shadow jumped up from were he had been resting. "Blood and ashes! What on the ancestor's name is this? Hey, stop, hold it right there!"
It was already too late. Both the stranger and Megil had disappeared in white blur.
"Darn the wizards and their Recall spells!" cursed Shadow, throwing his hastily unsheated shortsword to the ground.
Arco turned as Shadow cried out, he saw that Megil was gone. He got a last look that it was Jonacin before he teleported back. Arco unsheathed his two scimitars and looked around, where could he be now?
"Lets get moving, lets go north. They cant be so long from Ald'Ruhn" Arco said to Shadow demanding that they should go on, right after that he started running past Ald'Ruhn...
Sel
Sel looked at the approaching Niran. "You owe me." he said with a grin before running back to balmora with Celia, Konrad, and Niran.
Anthanes ran up to them, panting.
"Wait for the battlemage, dammit! I don't think it'd be a good course of action if we were to return to Balmora anytime soon, unless we intend on getting caught again."
"At least I kept myself from killing any guards." Sel muttered.
"All right, Anthanes, we're going to ald'ruhn then, to meet with the others."
"I know of a faster way to get there. You see, I happen to have a room in the Ald'ruhn Mages' Guild, a rather undersized one I may add, and that is where I have placed the mark for my Recall spell. If everyone holds onto me, I'll be able to teleport us all there with that spell."
Sel shrugged and grabbed the battlemage's arm. Teleportation was always the cleanest getaway.
(OOC:Since nobody else is here...) Sel watched as Konrad, Celia, and Niran all did the same.
"Alright, ladies and gentlemen, here it goes. Brace yourself."
Anthanes muttered an incantation in Daedric, and in a swirl of magic they dissappeared. In the blink of an eye, they appeared in a rather dank, relatively small stone room. A rather large statue of the daedra Boethiah
was in the centre of the room, with a well-used altar infront of it. The room also had a small bed, just large enough for one humanoid to sleep in, two chairs, a desk, and a few varied containers. A ladder on the wall led to a trapdoor on the roof of the room.
"Boethiah." Sel stated, looking at the statue. "Lord of Cruelty. Why am I not surprised?" he added with a chuckle.
"Let's not forget deciet and treachery shall we. But before you begin stabbing me, I am not commiting any of that on you. We are, infact, in the Ald'Ruhn mages guild...Or under it, rather. I had this small room built privately, just incase. Make yourself comfortable..."
Sel would be wary around Anthanes, now. The fact that he/she (nobody knows) was the god of cruelty, as well as treachery and deceit, didn't make Sel feel any better abbout Anthanes being in the group.
Sel sat on the floor in a corner and chewed on a piece of hackle-lo he found on Anthanes's desk.
Anthanes opened a chest, pulled out a book, sat down on his bed and began reading. He smirked at Sel's reaction.
"Does the one you follow define who you are? I noticed some of your number seem to follow Azura. Does that make you manipulative wretches?"
"I'm not a fan of Azura, either." Sel quipped. "And if you follow someone that revels in deceit and treachery, usually, you end up being deceitful and treacherous."
"Let me just say that I tend to resort to what we call 'Telvanni methods' in the guild to rise through the ranks. I cannot see reason or profit to betray the lot of you, nor do I want to."
"You've only been with us for a day." Sel replied.
Maybe you will see profit in betraying us later. he thought.
"Two actually...Perhaps I'm getting a bit soft. In any case, I've grown a bit attached to some of you, I think."
Shadow started after Acro, keeping up as well as he could. On his missions he would only do short sprints before hiding in shadows around the next corner or conveniently utilizing a Chameleon enchantment. He was not used to long distance runs and had used up his energy too quickly.
He was under the impression that Acro had known the stranger but had been as surprised as he. What could have caused this? The sudden appearing of this man, or maybe the fact that his behaviour was not his ordinary one? Hoewever it be, there was only one way to find out.
"Did you know this... this guy?" asked Shadow, pausing in the middle to catch his breath.
Arco looked back at Shadow and started slowing down as they pasted Maar Gan...
"Yes... He's a great man, great friend. Most be under some spell, I dont know. Its really confusing, dont know anything that could make him.." Arco suddently stopped and looked up in the air, at nothing special.. "If Arcyakt didn't have something he really loved... Like Serene"
Arco bursted out and ran all he could past Maar Gan, Shadow managed to keep up. Arco sprinted fast and swift through the rough mountain side as he neared the Ashlands...
"We most find him fast..." Arco demanded as he spoke out to Shadow as he ran. He started thinking of almost the same situation he had experianced here on Vvardenfell many many years ago, he really knew how Jonacin had it if what he thought was true. He closed his eyes for a second before shaking his head, ignoring it.. And kept on running against the Ashlands..
"Hey...where'd everyone go..." Fenris muttered, sitting up in his seat at the Eight Plates in Balmora. "I swear....if they left me behind..." he muttered irriatably, standing and rubbing his head.
Niran looked around the room.
Strange Place
(OOC:Oh.)
Anthanes smirked at Niran.
"Are you surprised? Better place than the gallows, I'd say. Make yourself at home, Niran. And don't mind the shrine."
I have my different opinion on that matter Niran thought when the insane half-dunmer mage said "Better place then the gallows."
He stood around drawing his sword and looking at it.
"I don't think you agree with me, do you? At least you're not in immediate danger here."
I'm in plenty of danger here, especially with a crazed man like you about
Niran sheathed his sword.
Anthanes continued reading, ignoring Niran.
Niran sighed and walked over to the hatch that led out.
"I'll be outside for a bit." he said climbing out.
As Niran climbed up out of the secret room and into Anthanes' room, he could see it had been searched very recently. Magical items were strewn about, furniture was turned over, and the piece of guarskin covering the hole in the wall was thrown on the floor.
From the reception, Niran heared the voice of an Imperial.
"...if the Half-dunmer or any of his friends show up...notify us."
Niran quickly climbed back down.
"We're being chased." he said.
"We have to leave now."
Dammit.
Anthanes muttered something in Daedric and there was a brief flicker of magick, as the trapdoor seemed to dissappear.
"There, we should be quite safe for now..Can't stay here forever though."
When Jonacin woke up again, after a fitful sleep, he checked in on Serene again, but there was no change. He was worried the mage had done something permanent to her. he went down to the secluded beach again, and started practicing the Shehai forms, tying to keep his mind off what he had done
Konrad shook his head solemnly. "I wish we could just have stayed in Cyrodiil" he mutterd to himself, scratching his head. Getting up he walked over to Sel, sitting beside him. "Thanks for saving me. I am sorry for being rude to you afore."
"Well Konrad, we're not. Wishing doesn't seem to be helping any, otherwise I wouldn't be in this situation right now." Niran had overheard Konrad muttering.
Konrad stood up slowly. "So what are we going to do then? What are we doing in Morrowind anyway? i say we go to Valenwood, the Bosmer are more protected with all the trees."
"Well, I'm willing to go anywhere. I don't know about the rest of them though." Niran said pointing to the group.
Sel was surprised. Konrad had apologized. Maybe he wasn't so much of a brat after all...
Sel shrugged. "No big deal."
"But why would we want to go to Valenwood? There's nothing there for us to do, other than socialize with annoying bosmers and hug trees."
"Sel, I thought you liked hugging trees." Niran said sarcasically "Wait you're an arrogant Dunmer."
"And your a damned moron." Sel snapped back.
OOC: no idea if that was playful banter or a true insult...
"A damned moron, only after I joined this bunch of damned morons."
(OOC: It was an insult.)
Anthanes sighed.
"By Boethiah, can we focus less on throwing insults back and forth and more on getting out of here without getting the whole Imperial Legion on our tail?"
"Shutup freak!" Niran shouted then turned back to Sel "Your whole damn race is a bunch of arrogant bastards."
Anthanes sighed, rolling his eyes but not responding.
Maybe I should've sticked with performing suicide missions for the Guild.
Sel looked back at Niran. "He's half of your race." he said flatly before putting the hackle-lo back into his mouth.
"Half of both, part of neither." , Anthanes muttered.
"What? That idiot, seems almost impossible." Niran said before going back to the opposite end of the room and sitting.
"At least that shut him up." Sel said, looking at Anthanes.
"Now how do we get out without getting caught?"
"I find myself having more intelligence than the average Cyrodiil" , Anthanes responded as he thought back on the simple-minded legionaries he had killed not that long ago.
"And there are two options. We either butcher anyone inbetween us and the city gates, or I can make everyone invisible. The first course of action will get us even more wanted and will get -me- expelled from the guild right away..." i'm lucky if I get demoted to Apprentice after all this "while the second course of action will drain me of my magicka, so we'll be without my magical skills, not that you'll admit to needing them, until I rest. I'll leave you to decide what we're going to do."
"If you shut me up I'll speak with my blade, lay off the magic. I find myself smarter than Sel, but that doesn't make me intelligent, because Sel is only about as smart as the average Imperial."
"Again, I repeat." Sel said. "A damned moron. did you learn nothing the last time you fought him?"
"Yeah, I learned he fears confrontations using unarmed combat, and that he likes to paralyze his enemies to make the fight easier for him."
Sel shrugged. "Talk when you win. Or better yet, not at all."
"About you, Niran, I learned that you're an unhinged little person who can't stand his loss, be it in combat or otherwise."
"Sel, quiet now. It's much too early for your death."
Turning to the magic-freak he said
"That's right, I am."
"Can we focus on getting out of here rather than having a royal rumble down here?"
OOC: Methinks we should perhaps start using the Posting rule
"Sure, why don't you just poof us all out of here with your special magic powers." Niran said.
(OOC: Er, Niran just keeps on insulting Sel, doesn't he? Well, sorry, but now Celia officially hates him now. She loves Dunmer and Khajiit more than Imperials, unfortunately.)
Celia sighed heavily. She muttered loudly, "So far, these Dunmer are alot nicer and smarter than the rash, dumb Imperials (with the exception of Serene) of this group, also known as Konrad and Niran." She glanced at the corner of her eye at the two.
She turned to the battlemage, concerned. "Surely, there must be a way to get out of here... But I do not wish to exhaust your powers..."
"Celia, it's okay." he said. "At least Konrad apologized."
"As for getting out, I would say we have to wait it out. Anthanes' recall would take us here, and my amulet would also take us here - no more options."
"Stupid altmer witch." Niran muttered
"If the stuck up Altmer are any better, they'd be on better terms with Imperial." Niran said aloud.
(OOC: Niran doesn't mean it, he's just being his stupid honoured user like self again. )
"How exactly? I have three types of teleportation spells; recall will take us here, divine intervention to the nearest Imperial Cult shrine which happens to be located at the nearby fort, and Almsivi intervention will take us to the temple here in the city where we're out in the open. Where the guards can SEE us."
OOC: Sorry guys, this post is viable to get edited, and yes it does
"Niran, it's alright if you want to insult me, but when you go to insulting women, it's a little different." he said, getting angry, but still not standing up.
"Woman? She's only 17." Niran said "Still a child like you."
Celia's cheeks grew red, and her fists clenched. "It's times like this when I wish I am a witch! That way, I could turn you into a scrib!"
Suddenly, she clenched the shoulders of the battemage, her face close to his. She growled, "Mara, help me, get me out of here and away from this man before I go nuts and hurt him!"
"We're trying, Celia...the guards upstairs doesn't make it easy." Sel said. "Just wait until they leave."
OOC: who's mara?
"Great, she's gone insane, figures uncontrollable children. Who the hell is Mara?"
before i post...whos mara?
OOC: Goddess of Love, one of the Nine Divines. <-- main religion of Cyrodiil
Celia stared at Niran, her mouth open. "You're an Imperial... and you do not even know your own gods?" She tilted her head, a look of confusion on her face. "Mara is the Goddess of Love, mister Imperial..." She raised her eyebrows. "Where were you raised again?"
"Look, Niran." Sel said. "If you want to keep insulting people - don't. It's that simple. Now can we get productive and help Anthanes find a way out of here?"
"Skingrad, what does it matter though?" said Niran ignoring Sel.
Her anger fading away as it usually does, Celia said calmly, "Well, just wanted to know, since you are being quite arrogant about your own race." She shrugged. "I figured if Imperials are so smart, they should know their own gods. I mean, you are the all-knowing intelligent race called the Imperial, correct?" She stuck out her tongue.
She turned to Sel and then to the battlemage. "Maybe we do not have to kill these guards upstairs. We could just sneak and knock them out before they warn the other guards...?"
"I didn't worship." Niran said, his anger not fading at all "They're all fakes, promising you so much."
She rolled her eyes. "Speaking of fakes, you're one too. I thought you were a nice and noble man, but all I'm seeing a rude, disrespectful, and mean man." She looked deep into his eyes and whispered softly, "You had seemed like a lot of promise to me..."
She turned to Sel and the battlemage. "Well? Do you think we can escape out of here with less... bloodshed?"
What? You're not even making sense now.
Anthanes remained neutral during the chatter, not saying anything.
"Well, I believe that I could use one of my grenades to increase the hole in my undersized-not-going-to-be-used-any-time-soon room, making it large enough for us to slip out. The problem being that the explosion will catch attention, meaning we'll have to move quickly."
Celia grinned with glee at the battlemage. "That's perfect!" She clapped her hands, bouncing up and down. "And if any hostile person gets close, I have my hammer at hand, the others with their weapons, and you have your, er, paralyzation skills!"
Sel stood up. "How about some invisibility to help us be a little less...noticeable?"
"Or, we could fight our way through, waste lots of time, and be put back in prison." he said, nonchalantly.
Anthanes nodded at Celia, hiding a smile at her enthousiasm. "I also have two swords taken from Legionaries who met an untimely end...best not to dwell on that. I believe this is one vote in favor of this course of action; anyone have other ideas?"
"Where's the fun in that?!" , Anthanes added with a grin to Sel's suggestion.
ooc: Sorry Dantrag, not intended
"Hey, I like fighting as much as the next person - but not when it will lead to nothing. Anyway. let's get on with this."
OOC: gotta mow grass...drag sel along.
She became serious at Sel's words. "But, invisibility is only going to last so long... especially when there's a group of us. Magic is hard to make last, so, unless you have enough invisibility potions for all of us and to last, we are going to have to make some sacrifices..."
She thought for a second. "Well, maybe just a little bit of invisibility soon after the explosion... but not too much to make mister battlemage exhausted. And then, after it wears off," she shrugged, smiling "whatever happens, happens!"
"Well, whatever's going to happen better happen soon." Said Niran
"I don't mind killing a few more guards. I could clear the way for all of you." Niran said unsheathing his sword "If you're too afraid of getting caught."
"Invisibility is overrated. The gate's just a stone's throw away from the Guildhall and between here and Caldera the only civilization we'll run into will be a few guar farmers. By the time someone figured out what's happening here, we'll be far out of town. Let's get on with it then" , Anthanes said as he climbed up the ladder, carrying two of his 'grenades' .
After making sure everyone had climbed up the ladder he threw the grenades at the wall, creating a large explosion and increasing the hole's size, allowing a humanoid to walk through it. Anthanes jumped out of the hole, swords at the ready.
"Get it moving!"
Sel only frew his dagger - he didn't want the glow of his longsword to give them away.
He plunged in after Anthanes and followed him out.
OOC: see you all in like 2 hours...
OOC: Oh, okay.
Celia grabed the back of Sel's clothing, closely following him. She turned her head and glanced back, hoping no one was after them. So far so good. As the guards ran towards the ruined area of the blast.
Suddenly, a bystander got in their way, and Celia stumbled, pushing the bystander. Whoops!
The orc Celia had pushed turned around
"Hey, what the heck." He said angrily "Watch it!" he grabbed her by the wrist.
Niran who had been following skidded to a halt and looked at the scene Celia had just caused.
Oh great, this is just plain stupid
Anthanes cursed.
"Dammit, you tusked green fool! Now is not the time!"
Anthanes cast a paralyzing spell on the orc, and if it worked pried Celia out of the orc's grip.
Jonacin wandered back to the camp after several hours. Serene was still unconsious. He hoped she would be ok. He asked around to see if there was any work to be done, and was told that some of the Deadra from a nearby ruin were starting to get troublesome. He decided to go clear them out.
As Athanes loosened the orc's grip on Celia's hand, she noticed a few guards coming towards their general direction. Her hands tightened onto her hammer as she was released. "Athanes, I'm sorry, but we got company."
"Damn it, just keep going the rest of you. I'll take them!"
Niran ran straight for the guards.
"Hold! I'll distract them!"
Anthanes began chanting in daedric, and in a swirl of magick a Dremora appeared in front of the guards bearing a fearsome daedric battleaxe.
The Dremora threw himself onto the guards, hacking away at them with his axe with the murderous glee native to the denizens of Oblivion.
While the Dremora was 'distracting' the guards, Anthanes continued on to the gate.
"Come on, by Boethiah! Keep it going!"
Niran stopped and turned around, now chasing back after the crazed mage.
(OOC: Sorry, internet's slower than usual.)
Celia took Sel's hand and, as they ran, she shouted as she glanced at the Dremora at the corner of her eye, "Hey! What did I say about less bloodshed?"
She dragged Sel after the battlemage, hoping no more people were after them. She noticed a guard right behind them. Reacting quickly, she suddenly crouched down and whacked the guard across the legs, crippling him. "Sorry!" she shouted as she dragged Sel away from the crumbled guard. "Hopefully, he will get a healer to look after that..."
(OOC: Niran is currently behind Celia)
Niran watched as they ran, already they were in the distance. They probably though he had followed the stupid mage.
He went after the first guard he saw, vengeance for his family.
OOC: Niran, they're Redorans I think, not imperials
IC: After they were a reasonable distance away from Ald'ruhn, Anthanes began walking at a normal pace. He looked behind him and noticed Niran wasn't amongst them.
"Dammit. The hot-headed fool's getting himself killed."
Ah well. Good riddance.
"What are we going to do now?"
OOC: He doesn't care, he's going on a rampage. Any guard would do, he doesn't think very clearly in situations like these.
To Mergirl:No need, Niran is still killing guards, he doesn't care if they are Redorans.)
OOC: Niran, they're Redorans I think, not imperials
(OOC: Yeah, that would make sense... since we're in Ald-ruhn, right? Er, who's posting next? You guys could edit your posts if you want.)
Niran came upon the temporarily crippled guard, and brought his sword up.
He brought it down.
Suddenly he stopped himself , he couldn't do it. No matter how much he hated people in general, he couldn't kill this man who was unable to defend himself.
"You're lucky," he told the guard before walking after Sel and Celia, he knew he wouldn't catch up with them for a short time, seeing as how they had been running.
(OOC: I have to go now... This volunteer work has been taking up most of my time, and I have so very little time to post... So, good night, guys!)
Celia had pondered whether or not they should go back when she saw, in the far distance behind her, Niran hovering over the crippled guard. "Oh, no," she whispered, dreading the worst.
Then, to her great surprise, Niran had spared the guard it seemed.
As Niran walked towards them, Celia ran to him and hugged him tightly. "Oh, you are a noble person on the inside!"
Blushing, she released him and turned to the mage and Sel. "Where should we go from here? To Caldera, right?"
(Ack! gamer just edited right now just as I am going to log out. Darn it! Do you want me to edit, gamer?)
Niran nearly stumbled backwards as Celia hugged him but managed to keep his balance.
As she turned away he frowned.
I'm still not much of a promise.
(OOC: I might have to leave soon as well, for dinner. To Mergirl: No your post is fine )
Anthanes smirked thoughtfully as Celia hugged the homicidal maniac. (you know who you are) What has he got that I don't?
"Personally, I think we might do best to avoid towns. Also we should try to find the other members of this group, alhough that borders on impossible."
Niran nodded
"Yeah, the whole escaping from execution probably angered the Imperial legion a hell of a lot , and they'll probably send more looking for me."
"Having killed a few of their number prolably isn't going to sit well with them either."
"Does it matter where we go?" Sel asked. "We're away from the guards. That's good enough for me." Sel said with a shrug.
OOC: another person after Celia, bobv???
OOC: We dragged Konrad with us too. Having said that I'm logging off. Drag Anthanes with you.
"Yeah, of course it's fine with you Sel. You're not wanted for a humongous amount of murders of Imperial Guards and the like. However, I doubt I could go awhile without sleeping in someplace comfortable. So finding an Inn would be nice."
(OOC: You didn't answer Dantrag.)
"It's your fault you can't control your battle lust." Sel said. "But one thing we agree on - an Inn would be nice."
"And someplace to bathe." Niran added.
(OOC: Have to go really soon so just pretend I've logged off now. You know what to do with Niran, and NO I don't mean kill him. Oh and Rane, it's about time for closing of this thread isn't it?)
"Yeah, that too." he muttered. "That still raises a question, though." Sel continued while sheathing his dagger. "What town?"
He never heard if anyone answered him though, he was sucked into a black tunnel, the same one he was sucked into when he first met Arcyakt....
OOC: he's gonna be captured while I'm gone from tomorrow - sunday.
"Uh, well I don't really know Morrowind that well, so I can't say." Niran said staring forward, then turning towards Sel.
"Where the hell," Niran stopped and said "Uh, I think we should stop. It appears Sel has just vanished."
(OOC: How's that. *Stuffs down cake*)
OOC: read the edit i made to previous post, and edit yours accordingly thank you! :cake: <- thank you cake.
"Dudes! The guys at the Mages Guild said some kind of Crazy crap happened Ald'Ruhn, a chunk of the Mages Guild there 'sploded and these guys ran out of it, and into the ashlands. A good deal of guards are dead too!" excalimed one Patron of the bar, who had rushed over to what Fenris asumed to be his friends at a nearby table. Fenris rose as the friends of the man all expressed their surprise, and made his way outside, and to the Balmora Mages' Guild, purchasing travel to Ald'Ruhn.
Fenris arrived in the Guild hall, which was abuzz with activity, guards and mages scurrying about, Fenris merely headed out into the streets. Seeing which gate was closest to Ald'Ruhn, it didn't take much to figure out which way the group had gone. The Tongue quickly set off in pursuit, cursing the heat of this infernal country and its unnatural deserts of ash. What have the fools done now...
(OOC: Did anyone kill any guards? Niran didn't he spared the guards life.)
(OOC: Did anyone kill any guards? Niran didn't he spared the guards life.)
(OOC: dunno, but that was my way of adding some 'confusion' to the incident. Its a rumor by the time it hit balmora, its gotten somewhat..confused. )
