Clark's game has the older version of this, and the count is the CoC (an NPC I created for the purpose). Although he ran through the rebuilding quests, it was just to get the place restored, and I suspect a lot of players would like a static, no quests version, that just provides a restored city when you install it. I made myself a couple of mods to suppress CoC dialog, and Kvatch Rebuilt dialog that was inappropriate to his game, but never released those for general use. I also used a mod that Acadian recommended for repairing the Temple district. It didn't work out of the box, but I was able to use it to fix the streets.
I may have a list of console commands to bypass things, if you just want the city rebuilt, and not have to do the quests. I know I recorded it all somewhere in case I wanted to repeat it for another character.

QUOTE(Grits @ Jun 10 2014, 07:02 PM) Rather than restoring the city after the battle it may make sense to not start the main quest at all (keep the Amulet or whatever alternate start you use) for a fourth era character. Sadly I delivered the Amulet with all of mine. When that part of the mod is released I’ll have to start a new character to see it.
Lothran still has the amulet but he has done the Kvatch related quests. Does that affect being able to use the mod? Might use the console commands from ghastley....

QUOTE(Grits @ Jun 10 2014, 01:02 PM) This version is still being updated so I’d say definitely read all of the documentation first. It looks like they’re working on a pre-invasion version of Kvatch as well. Rather than restoring the city after the battle it may make sense to not start the main quest at all (keep the Amulet or whatever alternate start you use) for a fourth era character. Sadly I delivered the Amulet with all of mine. When that part of the mod is released I’ll have to start a new character to see it.
Oh okay. Never mind, then. I'll look into the older version of KR, then. RG3 did not deliver any Amulet, I'm not even sure if she's carrying it or not. If so I can just remove that, right? . She did not start the MQ at all. I was actually planning on fast-forwarding the Main Quest with the console, and then also lowering all the resulting Fame points as well, so it won't be this weird high-disposition thing whereve she goes. People will still be saying "It's ... it's you!" over and over, but I'll just RP this as some sort of mistaken identity thing. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Jun 11 2014, 06:21 PM

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jun 11 2014, 07:49 AM) Lothran still has the amulet but he has done the Kvatch related quests. Does that affect being able to use the mod? Might use the console commands from ghastley.... From the mod’s description: “The mod should kick in automatically once you have completed the 'The Battle for Castle Kvatch' quest, regardless if you have already done it long before, or are just starting out. You should notice the camp move into the city and after about a week a messenger should find you.” On the mod's Posts page there’s a sticky that says Current to-do list: New Features: Kvatch before the invasion (Progress: 60%). That’s what I was talking about starting a new game for. As ghastley pointed out sometimes the finished city is what is wanted in a game, not the process to rebuild it. I only have one character who is obsessed with rebuilding Kvatch, but a number of them will go through with it to get their worlds situated. Starting off with an intact city would be best for them. I think I've messed that up (for a possible future update to this mod, nothing that's actually available yet) by having them deliver the Amulet just to get it out of their inventory.

I did some poking around, trying to find what I did to bypass the Kvatch quests, and discovered that I'd done an add-on to my private mod "Another Hero" that fast-tracks the MQ as if another character was CoC. If there's interest, I'll make AnotherHero and AnotherHeroKvatch available on my site - not the Nexus, or I'll have to support it fully. That means adding some documentation on the console commands to set the various stages, so I need to know if it's worth the effort of doing that.
I don't intend downloading the latest version, as like Acadian, I have a rebuilt city in the games that want it, and don't care about the quests it adds. So I haven't tested AnotherHeroKvatch against 3.0+.

I am looking into Kvatch Rebuilt-Finished by Deadly Agent and almost downloaded it. But it's a good thing I read ppl's comments on this mod. Seems like there's tons of issues that never got addressed. OTOH, I'm not sure if Kvatch Rebuilt is for Renee's game. It might work for Saga's since her game is just after the 3rd Era ends. It would be cool to see Kvatch get rebuilt in stages. I dunno, I'll read about KR next. EDIT: okay, I think I'm going to try Kvatch Rebuilt with Renee's game, which is supposed to be about 20 years into the 4th Era. I actually just finished setstaging all the Main Quest stuff via console, so there's no 'Main Quest' in her game. So it makes sense that after 20 years of smoldering ruins, some people finally return to Kvatch to build it back up. Ooh this is gonna be fun! ... I definitely don't want the pre-invasion bit you're talking about Grits, so I'm going to ask the forums over at Nexus which version is best for me. I'd rather see Kvatch start in a near-ruined state, if possible. This post has been edited by Renee Gade IV: Jun 17 2014, 01:42 AM
