QUOTE(Dark Reaper @ Jun 3 2019, 10:56 PM) QUOTE(mALX @ Jun 3 2019, 09:29 PM) Make that a .45LC/.410 and that would make a cool mini shotgun. I think it is all the rage among the gangs in the area known as "the Hood" here.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jun 14 2019, 10:25 AM) Last Friday I decided to shoot some with my CO2 version of the Colt SAA in blued finish. Beautiful gun with a gorgeous trigger. Only complainable thing is the hammer that doesn't meet up with the frame in its resting position. By God, did they botch that! If they ever release a new version where that is corrected I'll buy it in a heartbeat! Don't know why either; every other CO2 revolver I've seen has the hammer meeting up with the frame. Bob = uncle. Had a paper target and a metal one that I normally use with my .22LR levergun, much fun to hit the metal target and hear the *PING*. And yet again I discovered that shooting pistols is a whole nother ballgame than shooting with rifles. But I did shoot one-handed and I did hit the targets. Occasionally If you hit the targets, then you did much better than me. I couldn't; even rolling my hand to the side to steady it better. Lucky for my dogs at the time, they were in the front yard and not in the back yard with me trying to target shoot, lol.

GUN PURCHASE! Yesterday I placed an order on a second .44 Remington New Model Army, made in October 1864. This one was more expensive than my first but also of much higher quality with perfect mechanical workings. I expect it to arrive on Tuesday. Now I only need to order a double holster The brown you see in this pic is most likely the browning they did before blueing the gun and not rust. If I'm not mistaken it's sort of a primer. Yeah it doesn’t look like rust to Khajiit. Rust would be either redder or a darker brown.

QUOTE(mirocu @ Jun 15 2019, 02:19 PM) It really is hard not to twist the gun when squeezing the trigger, that's something I have to work on. Obviously, shooting with two hands was easier. And for a CO2 pistol it shoots kinda hard. Noticed that from the sound of the cardboard that held the paper targets, as well as the metal target that swung a bit when I hit it. You certainly don't want to get hit by this gun.
It's also CO2 efficient: got about 90 rounds from one cartridge!
No, I meant use the sideways grip when shooting so your body absorbs the kick instead of your arm and hand jerking back while absorbing it. You have to practice to get the accuracy with the sideways grip because you can't "sight" it; but it gets you used to the kickback of a pistol a lot easier and less dangerous than having your hand twist when the gun kicks back on you. Here is a vid that shows what I'm talking about: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kwYq5ta_PWcQUOTE(mirocu @ Jun 30 2019, 05:57 AM) GUN PURCHASE! QUOTE(mALX @ Jul 12 2019, 08:49 PM) Well, I hope you didn't pay vintage price for a repro; but either way it sounds like you are happy with the gun itself!
I was merely joking. He can't sell me a repro as they require a license, so I know it's an original gun. He confirmed that the blackness on the gun is the blueing which I knew already. My other gun doesn't have any blueing left so it's a clear difference. But I kinda wish it was a repro. That way I could shoot all I want and not care if I ruin it
