QUOTE(Winter Wolf @ Mar 9 2017, 02:26 AM) CK- Kim Ly is rocking another disguise. What an awesome look! A punk, raider, hunter. That weapon looks dangerous. Do not turn your back! You could pin some crows/raven to the wall with it. she is trying to go for a mix of high tech and punk. The effect will be better once she gets some combat armor. She could pin some crows/ravens to the wall, but Khajiit doesn't think his good buddy Mirocu would like that! Lol This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Mar 9 2017, 10:22 AM

Acadian: The robots pretty much took care of the Deathclaw all on their own. Annie was mostly just a bystander, though she did add her own two cents into the discussion... I hadn't noticed that she has bobblehead hair! There are options in my vault girl bobblehead mod that change their hair colors though. Renee: The protrectrons are always comedy gold in FO3 and 4. "This has now become a free-fire zone. Have a nice day." Annie is Annie Ley Oak. The other one was from the old West. Annie definitely does her own stunts. TheCheshireKhajiit: Cool crossbow! Maybe someone will post a link to that in the mods topic... Winter Wolf: I thought the Deathclaw would smash the protectrons to bits. But not one of the four robots went down. They are a lot tougher in F4. They pretty much took out the Deathclaw on their own. Annie backed up to get out of the way, and only added a few bursts. She had to watch her fire to avoid hitting the robots, so she didn't really shoot much. Winter Wolf: That was actually my first time witnessing the scene between Piper and the Mayor. When I went to Diamond City with Elektra she passed them by and continued exploring around the outside of DC. So I only vaguely heard some of the argument. I wish I had stayed around to watch. Piper is just priceless when she is arguing! She has all these wild gestures and faces! I have heard that there are holiday decorations. But I have not been to Diamond City during one of them yet. I have not really spent much time there at all. Most of my characters end up using Sanctuary Hills as their permanent base. Acadian: Even bears need their morning caf! I have no idea why Annie got that look on her face. It was just from a relatively normal conversation. So it was pure chance. But I just loved it! QUOTE(Renee @ Mar 13 2017, 03:58 PM) Awesome, that looks fun, Cheshire Khajiit. I think if I got FO4 I would get really into the settlements side of things, myself. You should post a few more pics as your project continues.
Oh this one plans to!

QUOTE(TheCheshireKhajiit @ Mar 13 2017, 03:52 PM) Kim-Ly worked a little on her Red Rocket Fortress today. She put a bus that joins with the hedge on the north side along the road to Concord that will serve as a wall. She added a scaffold ramp to access the top of the bus and plans to put beds in the bus to make a sort of barracks for any future guards. Underneath the billboard she built a sort of pillbox to defend the gap in the hedge and along the eastern hedge she put foundations for a future building project she will undertake for either a generator room or more living space for folks. PicWow. I am lazy. I just build a ring of 15 or 20 gun turrets around every settlement. Renee: There was one of those big work light rigs off the screen that was lighting up Annie and Nick (the synthetic detective). That is why they are so lit up. Oh, I thought that was your old character Sir Veyor at first! Diamond City is a nicely done place. The world design of Fallout 4 is just fantastic. It is the best world they have ever created. Acadian: That helmet has all sorts of pop-culture references painted all over it. I especially liked the Imperial wheel symbol. Pasty boy is indeed a synth. He appears to have been a prototype between the Gen 2s, which cannot pass for human, and the Gen 3 models, which can. He's a pretty cool guy. He has the personality (and attire!) of a Film Noir detective. Pic Looking good so far! It's been a really long time since I made a dedicated fortress for myself. Over a year, actually! Since then it's been a long strings of restarts and different build style testing. I made Fort Taffington way back in Feb. '16 with vanilla PS4 Fallout. I might have to do something like that again, but with the repaired Boathouse.

The ground around there is so uneven!

I have that problem with most settlements. You're almost required to build foundations as walls. The only place I ever successfully walled in was Starlight.

You're almost required to build foundations as walls. That's pretty much how Khajiit does it; puts a concrete foundation (the cheaper one in "wood" structure floors) to make it even. Plus you can then build rooms or a pavilion into your walls so it's not all wasted space.

QUOTE(Cain @ Mar 14 2017, 11:55 AM) I think it's doable with concrete walls, too. You can snap them, and then slide them up or down to make sure there are no gaps underneath. That way you get walls, without the foundations. Takes a lot of patience, though.
After playing with it, that could serve! You can set up the first part of your wall to the desired height and then put the rest of them together until you run into significantly higher ground. If you have gaps under the wall where the ground dipped you can put a concrete foundation as Hazmick suggested. This fills the gap and you can utilize the floor for a storage room or something! Will have to do something different for higher ground though. This post has been edited by TheCheshireKhajiit: Mar 14 2017, 07:31 PM
