What a great thread! Rosa, I thought Teresas song (The Reason) was perfect. And I just loved Chances song!! mALX, Gils is a heartbreaker. QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jul 13 2013, 10:40 PM) One that just came to me was for Jerric, everyone's favorite brawling Nord The Sweet - Ballroom BlitzNow that is a bottle-breaking, ass kicking, adrenaline-fueled song! DE, I especially enjoyed Veras first song. mALX, you got me again with Mad World. Wow. Fathis. I always think of Buffy when I hear Enya! Black Hand, I didnt know the source of that quote. Seths song is haunting and a little disquieting, but beautiful. How fitting. ghastley, Fat Bottomed Girls was in our playlist on todays drive home. I couldnt remember Virgilias name at the time, but I thought how appropriate for the one in the white boots! Heres kind of an obvious one for Abiene: Lives The River. (Much better live, but try to find Lives The River live. Google chokes on that one.) Some wishful thinking from Jerric: I Melt With You. A note: This one has a very naughty word. Darnand has some deeply buried insecurities and self-loathing that he would rather not expose. Heres a song for his darkest moments: Creep. And this ones for Lildereth: I Will Remember You.

He retired to the city in the Subway I worked at, and came in all the time with the family. Their hyperactive daughter loved me especially. Jumping up and down when I was there. It might have been the free cookies I gave them.

I know your pain about doing internet searches about Live! I have been a fan of them for a long time. I even used Ed Kowalczyk as a character in my old pen and paper Shadowrun game. I can so see that for all their songs. Even poor Darnand and his low self-esteem. Let's just hope that he can keep his fingers out of the necromantic pie, and this never becomes his theme song. Thought of another one for Valens = Van Halen - Don't Tell Me What Love Can DoAnd a Vols song, what he never could say aloud to Simplicia = The Moody Blues - Nights In White SatinFor those who can remember Hirtuleius from the Battle of Bruma = John Tams - Over The Hills And Far AwayPlus another one for the Bravil Fighters Guild = Randy Edelman - The Gettysburg Soundtrack - Fife and GunThis post has been edited by SubRosa: Sep 15 2019, 05:18 AM

QUOTE I'll start with one for Ungarion = Prince - Let's Go Crazy (I cannot believe how hard it is to find Prince videos!) Love Prince! Let's Go Crazy always makes me think of a particular stallion of my friends'. This one also fits his ebullient personality - Eurythmics - Let's Go Joniece Jamison did the backup vocals for the Revenge album and she is awesome - what a voice! You really need a powerful female singer to keep up with Annie, especially when she is in full-on rock mode. Come to think of it, it's not a bad fit for Ungarion either, based on what I've seen of him so far! QUOTE This one makes me think of Julian in the final episode of Old Habits Die Hard = Sting - Fields of Gold Aww! Sting (and the Police) is another vocalist that I really really enjoy. This choice works for Julian at the end of the MQ, like SubRosa said. But at the beginning, when she first steps out of the tutorial dungeon, this is my choice for her - Annie Lennox's Little Bird. For Cora and Wallace, this is their song - Buckingham Nicks. I've loved, loved, loved Fleetwood Mac for decades now, and this is one of my perennial favorites. I found this awesome version from before they joined FM and think this is perfect for the beginning of Cardonaccum.

Another reason to like H.E.R. ...Fleetwood Mac?...Oh-ho-hooo yes!!...Loves them muchly...Even some of the post Buckingham/Nicks line-ups donchaknow... ... Aaaamywho... I've never thought of giving any of my characters their own theme tune...And now, trying to think of one, nothing springs to mind... ... But as a theme tune to the whole Knights of The Nine thing... I always kind of imagined a whole 80s cartoon a-la Thundercats/Battle of The Planets etc long intro with all the chars turning up at some point...Aaaamywho... Muse - Knights of Cydonia... The theme running through my head is the instrumental bits that start at 4.15 of the song and the bits towards the end edited together, which gives ample time to preview everything...Oh hell, you know what I mean?...This is the Thundercats one... Aaamywho, great thread...Will think of something...

QUOTE(SubRosa @ Jul 17 2013, 08:44 PM) Rosa, this song is perfect for her. Admittedly I am overtired, but it made me cry. (In the good way.) I’m beginning to realize that another Jerric and Rhano short story is not likely to happen soon, so here’s a song for Anvil’s boys of summer. (Heard it on a Mr. Grits roadtrip mix titled “5 Hours.” Not very helpful. I had to look it up.) Jerric circa 3E419: All Summer Long.

I have always loved that song. I have that album (or at least I did), on cassette. It fits Abies empathic nature quite well. (of course it helps that Kid Rock is from Michigan like I am). It always feels like a modern version of Bob Seger's Brave StrangersYou might also consider Stand By Me. That song has left an indelible mark in my brain thanks to the movie by the same name. Come to think of it, it makes for a good Aela and Ungarion song too. Also a great song for Martin and the Sun’s Companion, and it’s perfect for Aela and Ungarion!
