I must say I am really floored right now. My new dark elf, Sheeza Hawty, met some other gal and they totally bonded. It really is an incredible feeling when you meet some other gamer and both characters have similar ideals.

Because Sheeza was just walking around Davon's Watch, just kinda loitering around, when we noticed this other lady was following. Walking right behind Sheeza. And so Sheeza says "You walk in mysterious ways) and from then on it was like there was the instant bonding session going on! Hug_emoticon.gif Hard to explain I guess.

Nice, I hope you befriended each other, so you can meet in the future.

I love that! When "Pantsless" Calia first started out she was strictly a bow girl; and only wore a cuirass = never wore pants. A bunch of people started their characters doing the same thing after seeing her; it kind of started a fad for a while ... unfortunately; when you start out "Pantsless," there is only one way it can go after that:

Looks like a Friday party in Russia. laugh.gif

Yesterday while playing on the EU server in the Rift, a heated argument happened over the Chat. A player named Vanessa wrote, that soon after entering the region, a Lvl 5 player approached her and asked her, if she's familiar with the area, to which she responded, that it's her first time in the region. He asked her, if she can help him against enemies in some place, to which she agreed.

Lvl 5 player lead Vanessa led Vanessa to one of the locations, where you can be bitten by a werewolf, and there another player, presumably friend of the Lvl 5 guy, bit Vanessa as soon as she got to that place. Afterwards both of them ran away.

That's what Vanessa told us and she was wondering whether she should report those players or not. Some people wrote that she should chill out, that it's just a game, while some encouraged her to report them. I don't know what she did in the end, because she said that she'll think things over some more.

...

I'm with those that think that she shouldn't report them, it's just a game after all, besides from what I read, lycanthropy can be cured very easily, you don't need to do some complex quest. On the other hand I can imagine, that it was probably stressful for her and as she said, it ruined her yesterday's experience in ESO, because she didn't want to be infected with this disease, and was merely helping to play a seemingly newbie player.

@mALX: Sheeza also isn't wearing pants, you'll see when I post pictures. But It's also similar to when you are with Misa, and you once told me you tend to have frequent positive reactions from Asian gamers with Misa, for some reason. wub.gif

@Lopov: We did befriend each other, but then I think she unfriended me for some reason. She was quite an odd gamer. I'll tell you about it more in P ... uh, private messages. biggrin.gif

I would be pissed about that. Honestly I'd probably report them. But I'm also new to the game. Maybe when I'm more experienced I'd feel differently.

I always thought that the Players needed to have permission before they could bite/scratch another Player?

If not, then it sounds like some really in depth roleplay going on with the Werewolf Players = which might be cool for them; but not if they are genuinely attacking another Player without that person's knowledge or permission.

If true; then what they did actually IS against the rules of the game; and if she chooses to report the incident the Players who did that to her would probably face at least a temporary suspension.

Yes, when Japan first allowed ESO; for some reason Misa drew a huge number of young Japanese boys to her that were looking for any help she could give them. I had a blast for a while there = carrying around huge amounts of lockpicks and soul gems to give them; because they would come up to her everywhere she went, lol. I loved it; in fact it is one of the things that bonded me to being in a multiplayer game!

That is so strange that she befriended and then unfriended so quickly! SneakyBo Guild had someone do that just this past week = very assertive about making friends on there; then after three days just as suddenly dropped everyone as friends and quit all her Guilds that she had just joined = really strange!

I have a few friends on ESO that I play with that I have "known" online for over ten years from other Elder Scrolls sites and here at Chorrol; and there is one woman I met when I first started playing ESO five years ago that I became very close with = but other than that I've learned that (anywhere online in general) = people tend to come and go; so I just enjoy their company while they are there (and enjoy the memories of the fun we had together when they are gone).

She had a really odd personality, and maybe our meeting was a one-time affair. I have her screenname though. I'll try to see what's up.

To compare the experience to real-life though, it was just like meeting someone at a party or a concert, and omg we have so much in common!!! But I could tell also she had some weird behaviors. After awhile she began sneaking up on random NPCs and stabbing them, right in public! I think she was trying to impress me, but the problem was she kept getting in trouble for this. And then she'd disappear and apologize. "Hey, I just got caught, hold on!" Ha!

But that, to me (again) is the best part of the game: The randomness caused by other players. Most of them I ignore because they are always rush rush rush in such a huge hurry to be somewhere else. panic.gif But it's those rare encounters, random encounters which I'll definitely look forward.

If I got the conversation correctly, there are some zones in the Rift, where you can be bitten by werewolf players regardless of the permission, the permission is necessary only if you want to be intentionally bitten by some werewolf and you're not in this bite-without-permission zone. If you allow it, then you get bitten and you can become a werewolf as the disease progresses.

No, not exactly true. There is a specific area in each Alliance where NPC (not Player) werewolves will attack you and spread the disease at night and on certain phases of the moon. NPC werewolves (of course) do not need permission as they are game created.

I never knew where those zones were; but after five years of playing I recently stumbled into one of them and my main character caught the werewolf disease. She has not become a werewolf yet, and it has been over a month = but she is still carrying the disease.

But Players are totally different. A Player HAS to have permission to attack another Player for any reason; (except in Cyrodiil; because it is a PvP zone).

For a Player: there is a Shrine to Hircine somewhere in each Alliance where in that small given area in front of the Shrine a Werewolf Player can attack another Player in order to pass on the disease; but they still are supposed to either be asked by that person for the bite/scratch = or ask the person for their permission to do it.

That shrine is strictly so the Player can spread the disease; but the rules of the game still apply. Can't attack other Players without their permission; which is why when someone wants to duel with you: they have to ask first.

(and in dueling or in PvP zones like Cyrodiil and Battlegrounds = diseases like Werewolfism and Vampirism can't be spread to other Players)

She was in the Dark Brotherhood = Assassins. Probably practicing her techniques.

Okay, thanks. Maybe I got some things wrong from their conversation, because I didn't pay attention to it all times. Maybe that Lvl 5 player led Vanessa to some place, where he knew that the werewolf would be located and it attacked her. It still doesn't explain, why would she then talk about another member, who ran away together with Lvl 5 guy after biting her but...who knows, right?

Yeah; if it is true then it really would just be a problem between the woman and the two Players; but...it may be just a made up story to flame up the Chat Box, too.

The reason I'm skeptical = the zones those shrines are in are the higher to highest level Alliance zones; hard to imagine a level 5 Player navigating them to lead someone around anyway; and also: from what I've read and heard; a level 5 Player couldn't possibly pass the quest to become a full werewolf. They can catch the disease; but not transform or spread the disease.

It is possible that the Level 5 might have been working with the werewolf that bit her in order to lure someone to that guy; but it also could all be someone's made up story = who knows.

Laurie decided to spend some of our gold reserve on completing a couple of motifs, and also bought a few pages to do Master Writs. Then we looked at what other motifs we could complete and noticed Outlaw. So Bo spent two hours in Shark Teeth Grotto, and got one (duplicate) page, and then Blossom did the same and got nothing. We tried Bahrahra Gloom for a while, as we needed one from there, got another duplicate.

Finally Laurie herself went off to the WB, Captain Virindi Slave-Taker, to see if she could get the one page we needed from her. Nobody else turned up, so we attempted a solo, expecting a long grind and a possible stalemate. Laurie got whacked for 79k damage! Probably something we could have interrupted if we'd seen it coming, but that fight's a mess of lightning, and you're lucky if you can see the target, let alone the warnings. We may have to go back with a group.

Last time I tried that one she blew Dagoth-Malan under the ground; where he was stuck for the rest of the fight. He couldn't hit anything; but kept taking damage. Grrrrrr. I was in there with my friend Aussie; and lucky for us a couple others showed up too.

Big mistake!

I let Blossom take a look at Forgemaster's Falls on the PTS. Orcish Longhouse, with a full-sized Orcish Forge. (and a boat to get there. She was supposed to furnish Mouroth Keep before she looked at other places.

This could get expensive.

Nightblade Lil (who is in the Ebonheart Pact) was sneaking around Cyrodiil tonight when she saw a really good commander talking in zone chat. She joined the group and had an amazing time. I had to drag her away so that I can get some sleep. She never did make her scouting mission, but she did a bunch of those kill ones. She wants to go back for one more skill level and get Caltrops. She doesn’t need it, but it’s pretty!

ENEMIES FALL LEFT AND RIGHT BEFORE ME.

Cincy and I have had the hot hand in Battlegrounds the past couple days. Even when we haven't won, we've performed very well, nabbing a bunch more achievements along the way. I'll put up screenshots of final scores and some more details in the PvP thread, but funny enough this whole streak looked like it was off to a disastrous start.

mALX and I were grouped up but for some reason, it did not take her with me into the first Battleground a couple days ago. To make matters worse, the match started with my team only having 1 other person while the other teams both had the maximum 4. We got into a fairly big hole by the time reinforcements arrived, but when they did we stormed back. I even finished off each member of one of the teams in rapid succession at one point, a span of roughly 5 seconds. This got me the QUADRUPLE KILL achievement. And at the end we won!

Then the game let mALX join me in the next match, which was Chaosball. We played together in a bunch more matches yesterday, and we were pretty successful. At the end of the night, I had racked up 300,000+ Alliance Points thanks to the Scroll of Pelinal's Ferocity XP and AP boost. This catapulted me to rank 17, Lieutenant. I'm hoping I can make it to rank 25, Colonel, by the end of Midyear Mayhem.

I just took a look at that longhouse. I love it so much!

I'm having second thoughts after looking for a door for it, and finding that there aren't any. I'd like it better if the longhouse came with a door, like the other building does. Blossom is arguing for the forge, of course.

I'll probably do a tour of all the longhouses, just to see if any others are door-less. Betnikh, Malabal Tor, Wrothgar. Am I forgetting any?

ETA: I did find one longhouse already in-game without a door at Bloodtoil Valley in Malabal Tor. All the others in that zone, plus the ones in Wrothgar, and Betnikh, have doors.

The lack of a door means that it's part of the exterior space, so any furnishings placed inside can poke through the walls or roof. With the slope, it means that chandeliers placed level with each other will have their chains either poking out, or not reaching the ceiling, and I like the Orc chandelier.
