Bears are very annoying. They always cause you to stagger unless you have a high agility. Minotaurs are annoying too, because they always break our armor, and the unicorn is the worst because you can't fight back around it or it will turn on you and kill you.

The most annoying thing is that you have to fight regular animals. I have no problem fighting monsters but bears and wolves? Theyre predators yes, but they should just do what the deer do and run away from you. Thanks to Sub though that problem is gone now biggrin.gif

Other than that I dont have any problem with what I encounter at this point. Lothran is strong enough to handle whatever approaches him cool.gif

Yeah, the Sprigs, lions, bears and wolves on our game don't bother Buffy or Superian.

I think Buffy's biggest challenge comes from spider daedra because they embody the following collection of characteristics:
- Plenty of hitpoints.
- Self-healing spells.
- Very fast.
- Solid lightning ranged attack and strong melee ability.
- Immune to poison, requiring the extra step of using weakness to poison to bust the immunity.
- Summons a minion that can paralyze you.
- All of its abilities are immune to the 'silence' effect so you can't shut down its casting.

Now all that said, she can deal with them just fine. It just takes more planning and a few extra steps.

Imps. Imps annoy the crap out of me. They're slow and stupid, but what bugs me are the times I'm just walking along with my character enjoying some peace & solitude. Then an imp shows up. mad.gif They are easy kills, yes, but I don't always feel like bothering to fight them.

Usually my character might run from the imp for a bit. Since a lot of my characters prefer to walk, at some point we'll start doing so again. wssssshh pushhhh! goes the imp spell. Arrgh!

Wolves are also quite annoying, mostly because they can run and they NEVER give up their chase. Again, I don't always feel like killing things. Lady Saga in particular is definitely getting SubRosa's Forest Friend mod, so the bulk of Earth-like creatures won't bother her. Which is how I like to RP her former life in Valenwood: she's friendly to a lot of animals in Valenwood, and vice versa.

Most annoying creature in Oblivion?

I'd honestly have to say mudcrabs.

They're never worth killing, but anytime you want to rest or sleep near lake Rumare you can guarantee there's one of the wretched things nearby that you've got to hunt down first. mad.gif

I thought of mudcrabs (annoying creatures) but they're too slow and useless. Their pinchers are sharp though, and their meat is tasty.

I hate trolls. They always knock my weapon, so I can't attack them.

Oblivion looks best without Bloom and HDR.
Don't forget to turn them OFF realistic colors.

I used to hate mudcrabs because every time someone went for a peaceful walk down the beach they had to seek out and destroy every slow-moving little fetcher before the battle music would turn off. By then the sun had usually set (vanilla timescale) and the mood faded.

Now I use a mod (Trifle) that among other things lets me adjust battle music conditions. So my characters can stroll in peace, killing only the one crab that they want to eat and ignoring the others.

I find rats to be quite annoying. Theyre too aggressive to ignore, not rewarding unless you like rat meat, and its embarrassing to miss when theyre jumping at you.

Grits, it's nice to hear someone else confess the dangers of rats. For a mystic archer, they really do represent a threat. They are about half the size of Buffy or Lildereth, a tiny target to hit with spell or arrow and they leap with surprising speed and unpredictability. Usually we can dispatch them from distance before they alert and go all elf-eating jumpy, but they definitely get Buffy's attention. laugh.gif

Before I got the Resized Passive and Quiet and the Forest Friend mods, all creatures were annoying!

Now they're no problem. Even the Will o'Wisps are tiny and passive. A walk through the woods is much peaceful now.

On the other hand, TIE makes the wolves gang up on you. And the bears are still crabby as ever.

But those are dangerous. Not annoying.

I guess the most annoying creatures are the Spider Daedra's Mini-Me's. I'm trying to get at the big one in the back there and I have to wade through all these little itty-bitty ones?? A good shock spell sure comes in handy at those times!
