Hi people,
I wanted to create a mod that includes lightsabers into Oblivion. I already have done some moddeling but personally i think they suck

So i wanted to ask for your help...

whats all about?

somewhere in the city in a tavern you meet a old jedi who asks you for your help to accomplish his mission as the last jedi to track down and kill his enemy, Darth Duron. he gives you some jedi-powers like telekinesis and sends you to find darth duron and kill him. when you meet the sith you can decide wheter you betray the trust of the old jedi and kill him or to redeem the world from the sith lord...

What i need: someone who can make me a jedi coat and a sith coat like the ones in the films.

I have to say that I would love handling a lightsaber sometimes. Not always, but just for those moments that Daedric is just too evil.

Here's a little bit of advice regarding your plotline. Please include at least some dialogue to hint that they aren't from Tamriel and maybe even try to partly explain how they ended up there.

its already planned. but its a multi-language mod (german and english; i think they will be released at the same time), thus ill show you the models first, then wait for the CS and then give you some excerpts of the dialogues. ^^

There will always be the star wars mod for almost any game tongue.gif It would be great if you could get very nice lighting on the sabers. Anyone can make a mod with a shiny colored pole to fight with. Have to make it something special so there will be a reason to download.

because this is my first time modelling try, the sabers aren't that special. i'd like to concentrate on the plot but since somebody still has to do the models, i have to focus on them first.

I believe that you would have to make the lightsaber unblockable, it would look very weird if someone managed to block a lightsable slash with a wooden shield tongue.gif.

I would think a TC with star-wars theme would be awesome indeed, with fully modded buildings, ridable speederbikes, evil sith to fight, etc... Although that would be very extensive and probably never to be done.

Edit: I think the lightsabers look really cool, some nice metal-texturing to the handle and they're done. Regarding the glow-effect I believe that it's better to work on that once Oblivion and the CS is out since I think some kind of gloweffect on weapons can be added with the TC, or maybe you can attach a lightsource to the saber so it illuminates the surroundings.
