Happy New Year everyone!!
@ minque - Much thanks, though I cannot take credit for the contents. The starting post I used here is just a slightly smaller version of the ones over at SHS and Bethesda forums on their screenshooter's threads. Just figured the contents would work well here too and did a cut and paste.
@ Daedroth - Seems you;ve found one of the Christmas mods Lovely character btw. What does she have in http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii145/andreas123456789/ScreenShot87.jpg pic? Looks like a sack of some sort.
@ Chimera - Good to see you here! http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o41/AshleyT99/LightSabre.jpg as always
@ Jac - http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m313/gulfwulf/Morrowind%20pics/?action=view¤t=Phoenix.jpg done http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m313/gulfwulf/Morrowind%20pics/?action=view¤t=Jasmine2.jpg pics! And a very http://s107.photobucket.com/albums/m313/gulfwulf/Morrowind%20pics/?action=view¤t=Jasminesmakeover1.jpg too.

Thanks, Chig. She's actually a companion I released recently.
That bear with the santa-hat was too good for words.
It's crazy. With all those mods out there, you could mod Morrowind to the point where there is not a single bit of original stuff left! Same thing with Oblivion.
Speaking of which. Meet Luper Alkad, Redguard with issues.
Hey! Where did my bigass sword go? What happened to the number 34 next to my level? And why is my hair all shiney???!!!!! Oh, it's a new game. That explains it. (Yeah, I was really surprised at how shiney the hair is. Seriously, the cell is all dirty, the starting clothes are falling apart at the seems. But that hair...walked right out of a shampoo commercial)
Also, I just couldn't resist the opportunity. I had to try and make Jagar Tharn, working by memory. (No alt-tabbing to check a picture while playing the game, it ain't healthy.) While there is a distinct lack of wrinkleness and the eyebrows aren't quite as sharp as I wanted, I still think it's pretty good for a noob at facegen. See for yourself.
Checklist for my perfect birthday.
1: A black robe made of the finest satin. (hood optional)
2: A gnarled staff with an evil green orb of glowy doom at the end.
3: The ability to cause multi-megaton nuclear explosions by frowning. Note: Very high priority. Must have.
Char: Codename 5D
Action: Uppercut
"Simple action move, the char is using the uppercut on a person."
I guess his stay at the prison made him a bit cranky. Anyway, could you perhaps show a shot of his face? Unfortunately, his arm obscures about half of it right now.
And for the uppercut, did you use an animation mod for that? I don't remember uppercuts being in vanilla Oblivion.
Speaking of mods, I browsed Tesnexus and found one that made combat a bit more 'anime-like'. Now being a big fan of anime and finding the original animations damn clunky looking, I put it on. So far, I like the standard attacks while standing still a lot more, but the power attacks came as a bit of a surprise. Just look at the pics.
It's a bit hard to see, but yes...Luper leaps five metres up into the air, pulls of a somersault, then drives his sword down on the victim. It's so unrealistic (especially in a full suit of heavy armour), it's just funny. Then again, this is Luper so it's not that unrealistic.
Then again, everyone else does that as well. It was kinda humorous to see Uriel Septim pull off crazy acrobatics. Who knew that an 87-years old dude could move like that?
My pet fox protecting me.
It gives a mournful howl after killing anything...

My new character Elvira above is shown below with and without her removable white wig.
I found her some nice earring styles. She is not yet available for download though.
Another pic of Jasmine:

She's featured in my Journal of Torlin fan fic that I stopped working on, but may take up again.
Hey Cloudy, when did you get Oblivion and what do you think of it.
I bought it...back in may? So I've actually had it for a while but I only got the hardware needed to play it like a week and a half ago. And then there's the time I've spent studying, playing Spore or performing the necessitities of life so with Oblivion I've played...ten hours in total at most?
Beware, ridiculously long rant coming through. (in the wrong thread as well. I should make some more pics later to make up for this.)
Anyway, the first thought I had is that it is a lot less flashy than it looked in the trailers. Now part of that is obviously because I shut down stuff like grass, bloom, hdr and all that other crap. But still, the only thing that really makes it stand out from Morrowind is the visual range outside and the lip movements in dialogue. It doesn't really bother me too much, but the walls often end up looking as if they're made out of sculpted clay or something which somewhat ruins immersion.
The second thing I noticed is that facegen is fricking hard! You can't move a single slider without having five others move, and unless you like balloony round faces, it's practically impossible to make a more 'thin' face without having him turn into a skin-covered skeleton. And I never managed to get the eyebrows the way I wanted them. That said, I managed quite a bit with Luper. Which also led to a rather amusing fact my sister's boyfriend pointed out when they visited. Luper's body (especially in armour) is ridicilously wide and musclebound compared to his face.
Moving onto my thoughts of the first level. I'm not sure what to think of the tutorial. Unlike Morrowind, it helps ease you into how to play, but it seems about as blunt as a sledgehammer to the face while doing it. (Go, shoot the bucket for no good reason! Quick, the goblin hasn't seen you, snipe him! Grab the lockpicks, and the key!) The rats breaking down that wall was a bit of a stupid aproach to introducing the alternate escape-route in my opinion. It would have been better if the player were allowed to climb onto the ledge where the Mythic Dawn had come from and find a tunnel there, which would have led to using the assassin's path instead of the utterly random goblin-cave.
Also, the Emperor's dialogue is far too strict. I know that Patrick Steward is an expensive guy to hire, but the dialogue options you get have none to zero effect on his answers and often you have to use them all. Is it really that hard to believe that your character might just recognize the face on every coin in the world, especially when he is wearing the famous gem of plot-advancement? And why hire mister Picard anyway? Just for the name? I've got the feeling that Bethesda could have expanded the role of the Emperor and his dialogue if they hired a lesser known (and cheaper) voice, while still using the same budget.
And I would have appreciated it if someone set Uriel's fight-or-flee script to flee. As it is, over half the time he valiantly runs up to the assassins and starts smacking them with his sword before his bodyguards got a chance to close in. Makes you wonder why they're 'escaping' in the first place. Oh and the whole 'freeze the player so he won't interupt the assassination' was annoying me to hell. They should have just made it so that Uriel's last words were something along the lines of "And now I face my appointed fate.", then make him keel over the instant dialogue ended. The implication then would have been that you didn't notice the assassin coming in because you were busy listening to the old man. (oh, and have the assassin spawn of-screen just to make sure instead of using the opening tunnel. You could always say he made it passed the Blades fighting in the other room)
So anyway, I think Bethesda used Uriel in a way that didn't meet my expectations. Then again, the hype over 'Meeting the Emperor himself, finally!' probably would have caused a disapointment no matter what.
Now what the tutorial did do well was class selection and race selection. When you start a new game, it dumps you straight into facegen. Not very subtle, true, but at least you don't get a guard who's bloody blind and asks you "Are you a man, or a woman, oh and are you a lizard or something more humanoid?"
Class selection is pretty much seemless. Socius Ergalla wasn't bad himself, but it made no sense to tell him that "yes I kill people by smashing their face in with a big axe, please put it down on paper so I can show it to the captain." The more combat-orientated tutorial, plus having Baurus make his own guess based on what he's seen just flows better in my opinion. (Though one wonders how he could have seen that you were sneaking all throughout the goblin-cave yet went for heavy warhammer action when in his presence. But let's not bother with insignificant details.)
All in all, the tutorial gets points for generation purposes and helping a new player, but loses on random goblins and poor use of Uriel Septim the man. Oh, and I wouldn't be surprised if more roleplaying-orientated people like Minque were really annoyed with the pure combat nature of the tutorial, but that's just the kind of game TES has always been so I wasn't expecting anything different in that regard. Really, Morrowind was the exception with just dropping you off in a peaceful town after some paperwork.
Ok, afterwards I just ignored the main quest so I can't quite comment on it. I've heard that it is a combat-heavy fetch-quest for the most part and too short. Now I can tell you that shorter does not mean worse. After a while, Morrowind's main quest really starts to drag on, especially when it's one huge fetch quest. I've been focussing on the Knights of the Nine (obviously) and while it too is a fetch quest, it gives you more variation.
Now I'll just wrap this up quick by moving onto gameplay. Game-balance is iffy, even with OOO. On normal difficulty, I get killed by Crazed Imps all over the place, unless I unload high-powered fireballs. On slightly lowered difficulty, I kill pretty much anything in one to two hits, barely getting scratched in return and without using the somersault-deathblow. It seems there is no middle-ground there.
The combat system itself has both improvements and downsides. The loss of an unarmoured skill really hurts because active dodging just won't work in melee. The split second you get is just enough to block, but not enough to move out of the way. (or maybe my reflexes are just crap) That said, the active blocking itself plus the inclusion of mixing magic into melee is a vast improvement and streamlining over Morrowind. The Magicka regeneration is awesome, as it finally gives you an excuse to take a sign that's not the Atronach. And it's slow enough that you can't spam 'nuke-2000' forever.
Also, escort quests are a lot less painful now though your escortee will still run into every single fight with suicidal eagerness. Remember how in Morrowind every NPC appeared to have a speed stat of 10, near max encumbrance and real bad pathfinding? Ironically, the situation has reversed. I've played a character with speed stat 83 for a while (damn fast), and I still didn't keep up with those two dudes that want to see the gatekeeper fight at the start of Shivering Isles. Crazy.
I've really got to wrap this up, don't I? In short, while there are plenty of flaws, I find Oblivion to be entertaining enough to be a good game. Perhaps it loses out on atmosphere and strange wastelands, but it wins out on gameplay and fast-travel. Yes, I said it. Fast-travel is good. Admit it, at the end of the Morrowind main quest where you had to go to all the Ashlanders and all the Houses, you wished they had Silt-strider ports going to every location you had to visit. In Oblivion, you finally can, if you've been there before.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take some photos (hopefully). I'm right in front of Garlas Malatar, which should provide some sightseeing opportunities.
Well, that didn't take too long. But all-together, it was a fun experience. Especially because I only reactivated the menu to select spells. I had absolutely no clue regarding my health all the time.
Now I thought about editing my previous post, but that would only make it even longer. So I'm going to break rules and double-post. Yeah, I'm evil incarnate.
Warning, there will be spoilers.
"Hear me, knights! This is the moment you've all waited for. All your training, all your prayers, all your hopes, and all your sorrows. They have led you here, to this place, and this moment. Today, we face destiny!"
"I will not lie to you. Umaril and his minions shall not lay down and reveal their necks to our blades. No, they will fight with their foul strength till the bitter end. I say, let it be their bitter end. Fight with the same determination of your enemy. Cross blades till your arms can no longer hold your sword. If that time comes to pass, fight on still. With tooth and nail if needed. Tamriel depends on us, the Nine depend on us. This is for Anvil, for Bravil, and all those who have been wronged by Umaril's evil!"
"The time has come! KNIGHTS OF THE NINE, FOLLOW ME..........FOR THE NINE!!!!!"
We fought, valiantly and empowered by our faith in the Nine. And Umaril's minions fell. Yes, they fell to our blades, like wheat cut by the farmer's sickle. But, by some foul art, they rose from their graves, to fight once more! As the battle dragged on, our faith faltered. We began to feel, the unthinkable...despair. How could we possibly hope to win, if not even death itself could stop our foe? It was at this point, that I truely understood Pelinal Whitestrake's tragedy. Oh, how he must have suffered upon learning that his enemy yet lived! How his strong arm was powerless!
No, no, I told my companions. We would not give up. If death was no obstacle for them, then we would send them beyond it! We would sever the chains that shackled their souls to their evil flesh. Trusting in the might of those I'd travelled with, I fought my way passed the Auroran horde till finally, I found myself in front of an orb that dripped with malice. This was the source of the magic that revived our enemies, I knew it in my heart. A mage would have been awestruck at that horrible artefact, and studied it for decades. I was no mage...And how could I study this thing, while my friends were fighting for their lives?! No, I did what I had to, the only thing I could do. I struck it, with the power granted to me by the Nine. And the orb did shatter.
I was no mage...And how could I study this thing, while my friends were fighting for their lives?! No, I did what I had to, the only thing I could do. I struck it, with the power granted to me by the Nine. And the orb did shatter.
And behold, I felt as if a great wind passed through my very soul. Below me, I saw my companions battle and then, I saw nothing.
Where had they gone? Not only the knights, but also the Aurorans. For a moment I wondered, was I the only thing left alive in this world?
I looked upon the orb's remains. Even though it had been shattered, its shards floated motionlessly in the still air. I did not try to touch it, wary of its evil. Perhaps, I thought, everyone I knew yet lived. Perhaps, it was I who had died. Or, was I merely frozen in time?
I tried to return to the site of battle, but a barrier of some sorts kept me away and even the might of the nine, infused into the holy relics, could not penetrate it. I knew then, that my fate lay not there. It lay in the heart of Umaril's keep. With that knowledge, I pressed on.
It lay in the heart of Umaril's keep, beyond the door. With that knowledge, I pressed on. (OOC: But not before looting those Welkynd stones! )
And find him I did. Umaril the Unfeathered, my adversary. We battled, holy might against his unholy power.
As Pelinal Whitestrake had claimed victory, so did I. Umaril lay dead by my hand. But unlike Pelinal, I knew that the battle had not yet ended. Now, I would show Umaril, that nine Divines where more powerful than Eight. I called upon Talos' will. I prayed for his blessing. And I received it.
OOC: image limit reached, I think. So here's the triple-post.
I travelled to a place where no man had been before. To the very heavens, where Umaril's spirir had fled. Far below me, I saw glorious Cyrodiil. Or was it all an illusion? It did not matter for in the distance I spied my opponent. I could see it on his face. The disbelief of me being here, the rage and...fear. Yes, Umaril had learned what it meant to fear the Nine. And he would learn what it meant to oppose them.
Once more we battled, in a fight where our very souls lay at stake. Sword against sword, spell against spell, faith against faith.
And Umaril's sword slipped from his hand. Was this the end? Had I been victorious? Umaril fell, and so did I, but I did not fear. For by the grace of the Nine, I had vanquished their immortal enemy. If it was my fate to die, then my spirit would rest easy.
That was not to be my fate. By the Nine's will, new life was gifted to my corpse and I awoke in the undercroft, surrounded by the spirits of the original Order. My task had been done, and I had granted them their final rest for which they gave me great gratitude.
OOC: I swear I had more pictures, including some that were better in certain situations. (Like the first Umaril fight, I had one that actually showed the fight we had on the staircase, and not me trying to get on the staircase) But in the heat of battle, I guess I must have mispressed. Still, I think the second pic in this post is awesome. Yeah, so it looks like I missed. Big deal. Umaril's on fire man! Holy fire from the holy sword!
Excellent posts Jack! I really enjoyed the posts regarding how you feel about Oblivion as a game. Very pertinent opinions and some of them I also share.
I recommend you to get the Deadly Reflex mod, though. It may not be anime-ish but it adds cool stuff like beheading your opponents or cutting them in half or shield bashing them and other crazy moves. Imagine how cool it is to cleave a man wearing plate armour in half.
Anyway, I'm glad you finally upgraded your gear and got a proper taste of Oblivion.
Now I'm pretty sure that THIS is a mod. Anyway, the wall-run is fricking awesome.
Ah crap, now you've interested me in a monk character. Guess it's back to the tutorial. I really should learn to safe before the exit.
He's a kickass soldier not a monk lol
Woops, my mistake. But in all fairness, when you say soldier in TES, I always picture the Legionnaire with broadsword and shield. Frankly, I imagine weapons and armour of some sort in any setting.
Heh, that just means he's so badass he doesn't need any.
Nah, he's just chilling out in the woods.

@ Chimera - LOL love the DeathStar in http://i117.photobucket.com/albums/o41/AshleyT99/treelady.jpg pic
@ jack cloudy - Mods-R-Us. I sometimes wonder how people find the time to make all the mods. Amazing work though. It is rather amusing on the hair issue. Never gets dirty, never gets wet - unless youhave a mod. I find face-gen a bit easier with http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=2170 You might want to give it a try. You can also go into the CS (if you have it) and set up a custom race. Can do some amazing things with characters doing that, and it's really not difficult. Great rundown of the tutorial dungeon too. After about the second time through, I just toggled god-mode on and now have fun with it. I do think my main complaint about the dialogue in general is the presumption that your character is fully good (or is a citizen of Tamriel at all - due to the availability of Daedric race mods). I do wish that could be updated. As for the ledge where the assassins come from, you can get up to it by jumping on the middle stair ledge, then up to the "assassin's ledge". Only problem is that the doors up there are ocked, and if you can get into them they're just little tiny rooms with no tunnels. Gives a nice vantage point for flameing the rats though. I tptally agree with you on Uriel's fight or flee script, and could continue that into the normal melee fighintg mode. My character is swinging his/her sword and some NPC darts in front and receives the blow I intended for the "bad guy", then complains. Hellooo?? swaord swing in progress here, don't step in front of me!! I think that prob is due partly to Bethesda's decision to "dumb-down" the AI in the game. On class selection, I like that it give you the option to make a custom class. Something that I don't remember being available in Morrowind.
I don't have much trouble with game balance, though some of the mods I use do tend to make some of the bandit areas a bit too hard without a companion. Instead of "unarmored" there is now "hand to hand" that you can use. Maybe not as good, but does the job decently. The Atronach sign is a good one to take if you really want to play a combat-only oriented character. Really makes you think twice about lobbinig off those spells.
@ Daedroth - Ha! Looks like you've found the pose mods. Those are some fun mods. Not sure just how many there are, but I can spend hours just posing my character (and usually laughing myself off my chair at the results). Which ones are you using?
[
I'm using Pose Thumbnails. I've been using it for a long time and I know that you use it aswell.
Maybe I should check the pose mods out myself someday. Also, Daedroth. What armor mod is that in the first pic? For a female armour/clothes mod it is surprisingly modest. It might be something my sister would enjoy. (I swear, my underwear provides more coverage+protection than the average female 'armour'. Now I'm a guy, but it still counts.)
Which brings me to my next point. If you're playing a guy, do not ever let your sister/anyone else who uses female characters convince you to "buy that outfit from a mod I just downloaded." Odds are pretty damn good that it has a female only mesh which leads to...embarassing results.
Anyway, the textures on that armour in your third pic are simply amazing. Just look at those gauntlets.
Chiglet, I share your pain over the 'AI'. Just this morning I was going to fireball the emperor's murderer while we were both in a tunnel, at the amazing distance of half a metre. I have already pressed the button so I'm in the process of forming the divine light of fiery inconvenience. Cue Baurus rushing in and getting up in my face right when the fireball is released.
"That was not smart." I hope you were commenting on your own actions, dude. Cause yeah, that was pretty stupid indeed. How the hell did he manage to squeeze passed me anyway?
As for custom character generation. It was there in Morrowind, and Daggerfall...I think. In Morrowind you could choose to 'fill out the forms yourself', which basically dumped you in the custom class generation. Although, it was a lot more viewerfriendly. But then again, I prefer Morrowinds interface over Oblivion's. Who the hell thought that going with a symbol-only interface was such a brilliant idea?
And to make this post legitimate, here are some pics again. This morning, I decided to play some more Oblivion again, send Luper into the Shivering Isles etc. Except I found out that all the savegames had been deleted. I guess I should have been warned about that when the game decided to check my hardware and autoconfigure the settings. Bummer. At least all the mods are still there and I've now made a backup folder where I manually copy over my savegames.
So I had to start all over again and decided, quite on a whim, to make myself. Now the closest thing I have to a mirror is the shiny medicinal cabinet in the bathroom and I'm too lazy to run back and forth so I used a frying pan as a compromise.
Anyway, here I am. I don't have a camera or pictures of myself to use as comparison but it is close enough for me to be satisfied. And yes, my lips in real life really are that dark (a bit darker and more purplish actually, less shiney.) Seriously, sometimes I actually think it looks like I'm wearing lipstick even though I don't.
For Roleplaying, I've decided to use the following rules.
1: No heavy weapons. A dagger/shortsword is about as good as it gets. I'm pretty damn weak in real life, Oblivion's musclebound body be damned, so I'm not going to lug around a claymore or heavens forbid, a warhammer. The sword I'm wearing right now is just for decor really, I don't plan to use it. (except maybe for blocking.)
2: No heavy armour. Same reason. Gauntlets are excempt from this rule.
3: I'm a coward. No really, I'm probably the most pacifistic person I've ever met (in real life). So that's pretty much why the sword is purely aesthetic. I think I'll switch over from destruction to conjuration as soon as possible. Just because that is probably the most cowardly way of fighting possible.
4: When using a bow, Bound bows only. I'm assuming that the massive drawing strength of the Bound bow is actually part of the spell and not part of...me.
5: I'm a bard. That goes completely against the constant fireballing I did in the tutorial but Baurus said I looked like a bard so I'll roll with it.
Oh and before I forget.
6: I wear glasses. Since I wear them in real life, I might as well wear them in Cyrodiil.
Also, I'd like to point out that the hairdo is different than my own. I'm just using this one because it looks like something I'd actually have if I were in Tamriel. I mean, has anyone seen a barber?
The first armor is a http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=19088 which requires Roberts female body replacer or something like that. The other armor (in the third pic) is http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12784.
Now over to pictures:
I'm playing Morrowind sometimes too now. Only got like 2-3 mods installed though, "Emmas better Imperial Faces" and a Balmora mod.

Really pink? Sure you installed the mod correctly?

More to come.
Is that Sylar from Heroes? He looks different than I thought, having never seen the show. (I always imagined a guy with greying hair and glasses.)
And I see that you've discovered the Slaughterfish mod.
Haha, Samuel Jackson funny!
I played a little of Morrowind lately.
And of course some Oblivion.
Ohhh a sweet hunk you got there...the second pic I mean... yummy
I love this armor.

I am not afraid of you Sethyas, oh no, on the contrary!
A view of the softer side of Sethyas, seen here in his Redoran Councilman garb, enjoying some hackle-lo on a pipe, carrying his 'Daisho' Akaviri Katana and Wakizashi set at his side.
A side view.
Sethyas ain't afraid of no Archmistresses either.....
"Ok Seth, time for a pipe of peace, right?
Oh noes! Sethyas is going to get cancer!
Forever young.....I wanna be forever young....
Daggerfall is now available for download free from the main site to celebrate the 15th anniversary of The Elder Scrolls series.
I was aware of the basic mechanics of the story of Daggerfall prior to writing Sethyas, so this is not a recent development, Lysander Velas is the father of Sethyas and Setsuna Velas, a father they never knew. If you've been paying attention in my story, it is intimated that Barenziah knew him. Thats because he performed odd quests for her, a la Daggerfall.
As to who the mother is, and why isnt Lysander around now, I will say that the first is part of the larger story the second is hard to explain if you dont know what a dragon break is.
And can you believe Minque wanted to make that Murder Suspect in the council club his dad? XD
He looks like the serious type. I like him. And it's too bad what happened to him. Maybe things could have gone different between Sethyas and his sister if daddy was still around.
I also see that you have an Ebony dagger. Heh, that weapon is so much better than all the other options in character generation. In fact, it's so good I can never resist the temptation to get one myself, even if I never use it.
So yeah, I've been doing some Daggerfalling myself. Now unlike yours, I think that my characters are a lot more min-max gamebreakers. What can I say, I love to break all resemblance of balance whenever provided the opportunity.
First up, Root Lich-Bane. Aspirant in the order of the Dragon, owner of a mismatched set of armour, a totally awesome helmet and wannabe zombie-slayer. (hasn't run into any rotting corpses that walk, though)
The downside? His background is the generic "you grew up in some village and for better or for worse, an uneasy alliance grew with the other villagers and you helped some stupid brat hide in a cellar."
And then, just for a change of pace, I decided to play a female character for once...joining the endless hordes who play females in rpgs just so they can strip them of their clothes. Except that I hide mine beneath a red robe all day cause seriously, no one cares about nudity anyway and armour is much better if you like to live long. And look at it this way. It's red, so I don't need to wash out all the blood stains cause no ones notices the difference. How convenient!
So meet Meszarha. The name pretty much says what she does, though at the same time it is an understatement. Brawler doesn't exactly evoke a feeling of competence. Maybe Fists of Doom would have been more appropriate. Anyway, her background is as the foster child of some forest guard/badass, which is orders of magnitudes better than Root's.
Umm yeah, I guess you can see what her dump stats are. Also, unlike Morrowind and Oblivion where people often complained about how weak hand-to-hand is, in Daggerfall your fists and feet are GOD! I mean sure, a big sword/axe/hammer will do more damage per hit, but can you hit four times each second with one? When your speed hits meteoric, you just need to wave your mouse in circles and watch things die.
And then I accidentally caught a nasty case of the furry flu.
Ok, now this is just plain unfair for all those poor punching bags.
New Breton character, actually CM Partner.

SubRosa - As ever, your characters are beautiful, interesting and often display a touch of goth. Where is our lovely Orismer Arena fighter?
I figured I would post a shot of http://i939.photobucket.com/albums/ad236/TheOtherRick/Oblivion%20Stuff/Tal2.jpg, since my avatar is the only view of him to date. Perhaps he will look a little less like Kirk Douglas. I don't have all of the wonderful mods that others do, and Talendor is still pretty new to Tamriel, so he doesn't have anything real fancy...yet.
By popular request of one person (such demand I have never seen before!!! ), http://img40.imageshack.us/i/derelasashewas2.jpg/
Please excuse the clothing, my game has progressed a lot further than the story at this point. He's around level 22 about now and has just broken 100 hours... but now I have a new load order and a new character (take a wild guess who) going, so that should give me some time get the writing caught up. You know, I have to say, I think I'm getting rather good at making male faces. I'm still terrible at females, though....
@SubRosa: As you can see, his face has received some revision. Still looks a bit hobbit-ish, but I like this new darker, less innocent look I've found for him. I also think he looks a bit more masculine, as well. I know you've requested his face a long while back, so if you want the updated version, send me a PM.
Oh, and if anyone is wondering, the hilt visible is from an Ayleid Meteoric Iron shortsword added by OOO.
I have been playing Fallout 3 again for a while. I just started a new character a few days ago, Tomoe Gozen. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/Computer%20Games/Fallout3067.jpg. But those are not her weapons of choice, rather just toys. She is really a http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/Computer%20Games/Fallout3069.jpg. I made a little mod to create a copy of the samurai armor, helmet, and katana from Mothership Zeta and put them in the Museum of Technology. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/Computer%20Games/Fallout3070.jpg (she was wearing Talon Company armor and a shiskebab earlier).
I am still playing Tomoe in FO3, and I have taken a few interesting pics in the last few weeks.

that's pretty funny. They're all lined up too

Elvis !!
I hate the reavers worse
That is the biggest Yao Guai I've ever seen !!
Oh Tomoe is beautiful !!
pR0n = ROFL !!!
Attack of the Clones = ROFL !!! I never noticed that, lol. - but the funniest thing is the dialogue you captured in that screen !!
I am loving these tastes of Fallout 3, it is SO tempting me to put up the TESIV and play some FO3 for a while !!

My current character http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v90/subrosa_florens/Computer%20Games/Fallout3086.jpg returns from The Pitt. The skull fragments hanging in mid-air are from a raider whose head she blew off.
I would never have known that was a skull fragment in the background if it wasn't for the teeth, ROFL !! Boudica is beautiful, I really need to get Fallout 3 for the PC !! What a huge diff in the character's appearance!
And now for something completely different:
My interpretation of Serene Catraso, Mother of Athynae Sarethi as portrayed in the Black Hand Universe.

These screens are Awesome !! I've never played Morrowind yet, after seeing Helena's Ada and your Archmistress I am wowed out !!! Emma does a great job with her mods, I am a great fan of her work.
So, looks like things might be on hold for a little bit again, so...I've been playing around on Solstheim a little bit, nice to be back there after like 4-5 years.

May be wondering why hes carrying around an Axe? If you didnt carry an Axe in the Frozen North, you were as good as dead. You need tools to survive in harsh conditions, especially if your not used to it.
Wonder how you came to be in Solsteim again Uncle Seth, did Mother send you to keep tabs on me again? And if an ax is so important why didn't you teach me how to use one? Or at least tell me I needed one if I was going to be traipsing around this wasteland of forest and snow!
Those are beautiful images of Mother btw!!!
Because technically I haven't even been there yet! These are visions of things to come...
Mayhap I have too many stories going at once????? LOL
I've never played Morrowind so it's nice to see Solsteim after a certain companion in Oblivion has mentioned it so many times.

Here's one of Buffy hanging out in a fort. She's easily mesmorized by fire. http://i668.photobucket.com/albums/vv43/Acadian6/ScreenShot825.jpg
Nice pic of Buffy!
Umm... Ouch?
The trouble is, we can't tell if Maxical was hit by the arrows of her foe or her own - you know her aim and all. . . . Wonderful screen of early Maxical!
Ahh... Maxical. The only Khajiit in the world who can manage to shoot herself in the rear when aiming at an elephant from two inches away.
I swear she is working some wizardry on those arrows. I don't think her inaccuracy derives itself from simple incompetence. Her level of bad-ness goes far beyond a natural inability.
Shivani looks wonderful! I'm glad you didn't lose her when your game crashed. Her husband looks well... unique
I can't believe it, after five years, Alaisagae finally made Morag Tong Armor! With all the mods now out I finally play Sethyas exactly as I've wanted to all these years. Including the Mehrunes Razor replacer and a revamped Bow of Shadows that I FINALLY got to behave in blender and was able to combine to the Bowset I made for Plangkyes Female Ranger Armor.

That must be quite a thrill, Black Hand. I know when I look at my character on the screen, my mind has to fill in a lot of blanks. To have the vision come to life would tremendous!
The shots look great. You are coaxing another Oblivion player into Morrowind!
Hmm, Im not sure if I should put this in MY thread, or in here, but given this is just a sample from a screen shot I took for a new animation replacer, for an Idea I have for the old chapters...
The actual animation replacer thread on the officials...can't beleive this isnt MORE popular!

Taking this one out to go with the lastest post as I decided to move forward with this.
And one more for being dramatic....I LOVE this new anim mod!!
I like the movie poster
Oh my gosh, are you going to add those to start all of your chapters? That would be excellent!! I’m on Chapter 4 of the Vvardenfell book. You know, in case you were wondering where to start. I like the dagger at the boot one, too.
First chapter pic is up!

And now the third!
Your wish is granted Grits! Chapter Four screeniie Chapter intro!
And Chapter five!
Yay! Chapter Five looks especially neat.
I got Oblivion on my laptop. Still vanilla, but here’s http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/ScreenShot51.jpg in his Lildereth-approved cave diving outfit. I think he was starting to blink in this picture.
Here we wish http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/withimp.jpg wore ogre pants.
Thanks, mALX! That's his summer look. I need to find some mods to give him a beard and rough him up a little.
oh boy, I haven't even commented on all the great screenies posted here....I must say they're just awesome.. Especially I'd like to thank you Blackie for the absolutely wonderful pictures of Serene! She is JUST the way I like her to be. I know you have used the same facemod i have and the clothing is outstanding. THANK YOU for those Blackie!
I also like the pics you're gonna use for each chapter...they tell a lot ...
Black Hand, I’m reading Chapter Five now… Hint, hint…
Whatever do you mean Grits?
Ohmygosh, this is the best one yet! I’m starting Chapter Six tomorrow, as soon as I get some quiet. Last chapter, pretty exciting! Especially since I know Seth will go to Mournhold, and I don’t even have to wait before I get to read it.
Wow! I never realized how tall Dagoth-Ur was! In the vids I've seen, he looked about the same size as the player! Awesome screen, Black Hand!
I think it's about time we started posting our Skyrim characters.
I play Skyrim on the xbox so I have to take screenshots with a capture card which is why the quality isn't exactly as good as PC screenshots, but good nonetheless.

Grits, you did an awesome job on Rowan!
liliandra nadiar, you have some neat looking characters, I don't think I could play that many at the same time though
I have a pretty heavy case of shiny-syndrome. I get an idea, run with it for a large chunk of time, ignore the others, then get a new one.
I could say I'm getting a feel for various perks/playstyles, but it's just a case of getting distracted by something shiny.
Just wanted to pop in and say you all have soe GORGEOUS pics. and, Grits, you have a heck of a camera. When I get off my lazy hinder and upload a few pics, I'll post them
Thanks, folks! I love to see peoples' characters. liliandra, you have your hands full. I know what you mean about wanting to try different styles. Ryoko must have an interesting life.
Here’s my Nord barbarian, http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/Brynja.jpg, presently residing in Sovngarde. It started raining when I took that picture. I played her Dead is Dead, and, well… she did. Looking back I think two-handed would have been better supported by heavy armor. She never got a chance to put perks into Block.

I'm just glad I was able to get rid of that unbelievably huge chin the Bosmer seem to have now. And that he actually looks like... a Bosmer, and not some cheap John Badass rip-off.
Derelas looks great!
I’m having some PS3 post-patch issues, so I started a new character in a hopefully dragonless world to cope. Well, not so much new as reincarnated.
Here’s http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/JShanji-1.jpg in his http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/stealthy.jpg. His new look is completely inspired by the beautiful and beloved Maxical and Aravi. The pictures are a bit blurry, no doubt my hands were still shaking with fury over what happened in Rowan’s game.
It seems that magical resistances still appear on your effects but don’t work or possibly hinder you, that’s the biggest thing I’ve seen. Rowan burned through a lot of inventory fighting a dragon before I went over to the Beth forum to see what’s up. There are some other wacky things going on, but it seemed that others had posted enough furious rants to cover my problems. I started a new character so that I could keep playing in the meantime. Hopefully Rowan’s game will be OK later, I just don’t want to mess it up further.
If I have to start her over after they fix what they broke in the fixes, she will be much happier in those backless dresses. Somehow I must have hit the dirt slider and didn’t notice (first character mistake ) so she looks a little fresh from the fight under her armor.
My 'offical' game got into the launcher-fail-launcher cycle again so I can't even see any patch effects. Thankfully, I moved a copy to a seporate folder and play (initial release version) from that. I have also noticed that the presets don't show on the sliders until you move them on your own.
Maxical in Skyrim's latest screen:

Those who betray the Guild will find their fate in flames.
Alaric Mercer, Master Thief.
Late addition for the Chapter 2 Solstheim Screenshot
Love that screen! Seeing it at the beginning of your thread makes it feel like actually reading a book.
Found a decent mod to show Penehipumons true form!
Gaaah !! Pene is beautiful !!
Cool tattoos!
Wow, Pene is and Seth is the definition of .
Fair warning, these are photos of Skyrim on my TV.
This scene is from Jensa and Stenvar’s five dragons in two hours play session. http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/Didntgetfar.png
Here is a picture of http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/BladesArmor.png. They went back to get it after one of the dragons in the aforementioned session nailed her with its tail. I didn’t know they could do that. Another one picked her up and tossed her limp body into the hot springs. No more naked armor for Jensa!! Although the new armor is not flattering, the uni-boob construction is warrior-approved. Unlike the regular steel plate’s stab-me-in-the-heart style.
Jensa still looks wonderful in her proper armor!
I agree with King Coin, a definite improvement. And I can see bi-boob action going there. I vastly prefer my female warriors in real armor. Let the men all run around in speedos (just like IRL right ).
That is Blades armor though? It looks completely different from Oblivion. I was expecting them to continue along the old design from Oblivion. That is no complaint. I like how it looks. It is certainly more original then a riff off of the IRL Roman lorica segmentata - which the Oblivion Blades armor was.
Wow! Jensa looks very neat/Respectable/strong!
After 18 levels without picking up a sword, hammer, or axe, I think it’s safe to say I finally got my archer mage. Meet http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/DenelleJeline.png, Breton in Skyrim. She’s focused on Archery, Alteration, and Illusion, with a little Alchemy for those big surprises and when the running away doesn’t work.
Lets resurrect this thread, shall we?
Since Pene seemed to be a big hit last time...heres a couple more shots.
Here's another picture of my TV.
http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/Jorrvaskr.jpg, Skyrim edition.
No title needed, there's no one else he could be. Glad to see him in his natural habitat. Oops, not in a bar so that's not completely right.
Thanks, folks!! I’m happy with how Darnand, Lildereth, and Abiene turned out in Oblivion, but this is how I always imagined Jerric. He even has scars, they just got washed out in the picture.
His eyes are the color of firelight through Cyrodilic brandy according to Abiene, or light brown to everyone who is not sleeping with him.
I’m using an inexpensive Cyber-shot camera (I think it was around $80 on sale) in a mostly dark room. There are dim lights on either side of the TV and no window reflections. I stand close instead of using the digital zoom, and hold my elbows tucked in to steady the camera. I take a lot of shots to get one decent one. And even then, sometimes the character blinks!!
KC, it was tough to choose between the outdoors picture, one inside Jorrvaskr, or a shot in the Bannered Mare! North or south, the man likes his drink.
I have a few pictures of my character Jessika in Skyrim

Thank you for sharing those pics of Jessika in Skyrim! May I say again how great it is to have another blonde around? More fun and all that, you know.
Is Jessika a Breton? I like her eyebrows. I take it she is a magician, given that Brel is from the college? She wears furs too. I like that. Most of my mages never wore those stuffy robes either.
Fawkes – those are great shots of Jericho. You know how we feel about water. He is a handsome daedra! I understand the last one – you gotta respect those Legion riders who patrol the roads. Brave men.

I noticed before that Buffy had long nails, but those are claws!
Here's my Khajiit Aravi from both Oblivion and Skyrim.

http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u516/kcp6/TESV2012-02-2615-09-13-99.jpg
KC - Aravi looks gorgeous no matter the game or province!
I think she looks happier in Skyrim.
Oh Dear. I've learned to mess around in the Skyrim Creation Kit. Soooo. I decided to mess around with existing clothes and stuff in-game and Heres what I came up with. As close to the Morag Tong Red Robes from Morrowind as I could get.
Original Robe
My Very Mangled Approach
The Base of this outfit is the Mythic Dawn Robes and the Monk Hood with Red Texture, though the one in Morrowind seems a little brighter, its actually very close in terms of texture in actual gameplay. I have Five+ years staring at the thing, trust me
Plus you can set up clothing as Armor as well, so I've set up the Robes as such, and just made it equal to the Dark Brotherhood armor and enchantments, and this ties into my MW experience a little as well, as you could wear robes over your armor in that game. Win win?
I'm also playing with a Mod called "Live another Life" which allows you too start off in another setting completely. You can start off joining a Guild, own a House in one of the Holds; or a farm alternatively, or at an Inn, etc.
The One I chose, has you start off in a Shipwreck off the coast of Dawnstar. Which is also close-ish to the Serpent Doomstone, and combined with Thomas Kaira's "Signs and Guardians" Mods ties in nicely with my Characters Birthsign.
So yes, This is what my Character Sethyas Velas looks like in 'Real Life' or at least a Graphically Superior version from MW.
So far...I'm happy. Til I figure something else out...
Here is a screenshot of the character from my fan-fic, Lucius (see my signature if you really want to read it).
Anyway, this is him praying at (a modded version of) Leyawiin's Chapel of Zenithar.
How wonderful to see pictures of Lucius! I'm looking forward to you perhaps continuing the story of his path to knighthood.
Grits, Zurri looks fearsome!

I wish I had my PS3 fixed, and when Dawnguard is out, I can shave off Kraven's facial hair .
Very nice, Darkness! I'm looking forward to facial changes on the PS3 as well. Then I'll be a little more free with the war paint.
Thanks for the picture of Kraven. As mALX says, he matches your descriptions but it is always nice to see a character in the flesh pixel.
I've played the PC version of Skyrim for a couple of weeks now. Nice change from the laggy low res 360 version. I have two main characters, both fairly low leveled. A nord mage (yeah, you read that right, a nord mage) named Evette and a dark elf thief named Seryn.
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee382/Bolzmania/Evette1.jpg
http://i1225.photobucket.com/albums/ee382/Bolzmania/Seryn1.jpg
Thanks! The armor he's wearing is the one you get in the beginning of the thieves guild.
They look great, Bolzmania!
I've taken some more pictures of Lucius from one of his quests.
First we have Lucius in Chorrol.
Next, he's with somebody outside somewhere.
Same general moment in time as the last one, this time though, we can see that Lucius and the other knight aren't so observant.
Who is this shady, sneaky, dastardly character? I call him the Strange Old Man. Well, I refer to him as the Strange Old Man in the early chapters, I reserve his real name for later in the tale.
Lucius looks great! Thanks for sharing. The cape and shield-on-back are very nice.
Lucius is Awesome! I love that armor in the screens!
Lucius looks great in his uniform!
http://i1071.photobucket.com/albums/u516/kcp6/TESV2012-10-2722-12-27-00.jpg
I wouldn't call him a beloved character, but he's going to be my vamp in Dawnguard. Has a Sith look going already, so I think he'll do nicely. Might look into the DB with him too.
That does not look like Aravi! Oh wait, a new character? You are right, he does look like a Sith Lord! Darth Eflus I would say. Soon to be Darth Vampyre.
Are we going to see any vids of him going through the Dawnguard questline? I think that would be interesting to see.
I have to change his name now.
I've thought about showing the other side. Perhaps I will, after Aravi completes the 'good' side.
Whoa. Ralam looks pretty sinister. I think he’ll make a very appropriate vampire!
Whoa, that guy would definitely make me cross the street if I saw him. Great job! He’s going to look even better with vampire eyes.
New guy: http://i1106.photobucket.com/albums/h361/grits29/Asrael.jpg. I have a good feeling about this one.
A Redguard? He look like he would be a good entry for a Skyrim Hot or Not!

My oblivion character. Excuse the crappy screenshot, I play on Xbox.

Westley looks fine. Great in fact! No worries on the screen quality and some clever editing you did there.
Westley looks great, King of Beasts!
And here's my skyrim character, http://pho.to/FWFZ
And before anyone asks, yes he has an eye color, it just very light blue and hard to see while taking an Xbox screenshot.
http://chorrol.com/files/921/SkySeth.jpg
Someone made a "Morrowind Warpaint" Mod for Skyrim....worked out beautifully IMHO.
Looks great. I like the pouches and weapons all over him.
He looks epic Black Hand.
http://pho.to/PfMC is my new khajiit character in skyrim. I probably named him wrong but his name is Renrij-Dar. I think it roughly translates to "Criminal Scum"
Thankies. Here's a sloppy comp of better views than. I love modders!

He's a tough manly looking cat, that is for sure, lol.

Scar is awesome, and you are so lucky you get to visit Solshteim! The place of where the Bloodmoon hunt took place! It's an honor to return to the frozen lands, eh? I don't think Kraven would enjoy seeing the Dunmer set up home in one of the most iconic locations.
Here is my character: Kraven Desselius.

Kraven looks cool Darkness, and nice screens! Solstheim is much different in Skyrim than it was on bloodmoon. Sadly Hircine's hunt didn't take place on this journey, but there are a lot of places I got to revisit. Do you play on Ps3? according to UESP wiki it's coming out for PC and ps3 early this year. They better release this DLC for ps3 Bethesda needs to make up for not letting ps3 users be able to play dawnguard or hearthfire.
Anyway, back to Oblivion screens.......

took me the same amount for kayla lol
It took me 5 minutes to get Westley the way he looks
Same with all my other ES characters!
Thanks KOB!
That's the one where I said she was hot.

Breeva is very pretty.
KoB, you did a great job with Westley. He looks like the same person in both games!
Hey Grits, you should post Darnand. XD
Vera had a makeover. Just a few http://oi50.tinypic.com/mbrdom.jpg in her trek through Skyrim's tough lands. http://oi46.tinypic.com/2e2ibt0.jpg she is in the flesh pixel.
I like the scar you gave her. I thought that was an excellent idea on BethSoft's part to put those in. Gives your character a bit of history.
I like the scar too. It also makes a nice juxtaposition with the targeting face paint (that is what I always think of that one - I think it should grant a bonus to your Archery skill) on the other side of her face.
