Pretty simple idea. I think that the magic weapons (other then staves) run out of charges way too quickly to even be worth using (other then having around in case a ghost pops up). I'll kill one enemy with a fully charged weapon just to see it drop to 0. It would be nice (and I assume pretty simple) to have a mod released which expands charges / lowers charge use by varied magnitudes which the user could pick. I think its reasonable, as the weapons in their current form are just not worth the hassle.
