Hi all,
I know it's been a long time since I was here but I was thinking of the old group of writers today and remembered a poem I posted about 6 months ago on the new Bethsoft forum. I though some of you might like it. It literally wrote itself in about ten minutes. I was thinking how poorly I had described Sarrah whenever I mentioned her and this poem just suddenly began to form in my mind.

I surely miss writing but have had nothing to write about until that poem popped up. Anyway, I realize I've missed talking with all of you. My wife is almost totally disabled now and caring for her and taking care of the household keeps me pretty well occupied.

Hey Bob, long time no see! If you don't mind, I'll just do a quick copy/paste job...hope you don't mind.

-----------------

You dance with me but there is no love.
I dance with you and my passion burns.
Sting me, stun me
make me feel alive
For I have seen death
felt its cold, heard its cry.

I am your lover
to tear at your flesh
caress you with fire
kiss you with death.

I am your mother
my poor angry child.
for I will give birth
to your ghost
in the wild.

You think you have caught me;
the prey in your snare.
I should have been cautious.
I should have beware.
Now the doubt grows,
if only you knew.
that all of this time
it was me hunting you.

I will pray to Dibella
that you may ascend
And find in the spirit
a sweet place above
and will honor the dance
though you gave me no love.

-------------------

Aww, that's intense. Sounds like Sarrah has some mommy issues? Intense, man.

Sorry to hear about yours. I know my father has issues, not with immobilization, but with memory loss. It is heartbreaking.

This was Sarrah's battle song. She loved every creature she ever killed. Goblins, trolls, ogres, daedroths, they were all the same. While they danced with her they were her lover, child, victim.

We all do what we can.

@Acadian,
It's good to see you are still around and kick'n. It's with great regret that my writing days and even gaming days seem to be over. It just doesn't have the same feel anymore.

bobg! It is wonderful to hear from you after all this time. All best wishes to you and your wife. Take care of yourself even as you take care of her.

What a wonderful thing, to hear from you. Thank you for your well wishes. Time is certainly beginning to take it's toll on both my wife and me. I'm curious if you are still writing. I took up learning classical guitar about eight years ago and will be beginning fourth year when classes start again in September. Lessons are online at classicalguitardelcamp.com. I stopped for a few years after finishing third year but it all came back fairly quickly with a little brush-up and practice. Fourth year is when some of the more lovely (and complex) pieces become available.

Best regards,
Bob G.

Athynae of my current story would likely identify with your poem. She feels the darkness within... more so than ever.

As to your question, the Bloodmoon story is hanging fire at the moment, as much because I can feel it coming to a close as for any other reason. But I owe it to the characters and to my readers to get on with things....
