Before in Daggerfall I was always a "knight" sort of character. Heavy armour, swords, shields, horses. But in Morrowind I found my real calling was in the legion! I always played a legion member, and rarely was a mage or thief, simply because it didn't look fun. Now with my legion gone and thieving and magic looking very exciting I am clueless what to be. I was thinking a combat heavy assassin that minored in some magic , but I really have decided.

I'd say a nice thiefy character with shortsword and bow would rock hard. I cant wait to fill my new pad with stolen trinkets and go on nighttime excursions

Might as well post my majors then:
Attributes: Intelligence, Agility
Skills: Blade, Marksman, Security, Sneak, Alchemy, Mysticism, Acrobatics
My character is going to start off as a pretty asocial dark brotherhood assassin, and I'll mainly focus on the DB in the beginning of the game, I may become a vampire, but very doubtful. After a while I'll probably, pull a 180, realize my responsibility to the world, and start interweaving the mainquest with side quests, the guilds, and dungeon raiding,

Probably a thief because the revamped stealth system looks amazing. Unlike the other new systems this seems more like revolution rather than evolution(at least for TES). At first there was no need to be a thief, being a good warrior was good enough for stealing. Now that it seems more complicated and strategic a stealthy character seems the way to go. Ah and do not forget the havok engine!

QUOTE(MerGirl @ Oct 5 2005, 12:33 AM) Well, depending on how vampires (as well as the overall magic system) are treated in the game, I hope to become a pretty Vampiress-Bounty Hunter-Sorceress-kind of character using Necromancy and Destruction spells. Or, a certain Blunt-weapon-wielding Altmer Healer again. somehow you contradict yourself.... i just dont see "pretty" and "Vampiress-bounty hunter-sorceress" mixing well. Gee, well unless you are in an anime show... QUOTE(Khaan @ Oct 5 2005, 12:30 PM) I'll just be some guy in a black cloak who wanders from town to town, I dont like havin loads of money. now that rocks!!! do they have hoods? they had better...

QUOTE(Dark_Elf_ @ Feb 12 2006, 11:22 PM) I'll be the same thing I was in Morrowind: A Dunmer Mercenary who focuses mostly on Axes. in my opinion axes suck. mind you, this is MY opinion. i had more fun using swords than anything else. daggers being included in that. but that severed nord leg from bloodmoon, i will never get that..

In Morrowind the system was loose enough that you could be a triomnipotent sneak-bash-burn phenomenon and no one would bat an eye. Hybrids were in vogue. But it looks as if Oblvion'll be much harsher in the class department. Pick your majors with parsimony, scum! OK then. I elect develop a more cohesive chracter this time around (by which I mean he won't be a complete hodgepodge of skills and attributes). But I refuse to conform to a generic style: viva la resistance! I'll bill as a former Legionnaire, competent in swordsmanship, who got sticky fingers last year and was thrown into the slammer for taking a bribe. Go justice. In any case, this aforementioned Imperial immediately dives into the underground after escape, completely ignoring his sacred duty, and develops the thief-craft of a god. But soon (*dramatic drumroll*) he's inexoribly drawn to the main quest. He learns better the way of the sword. He never wears armor. Ever. So we've got an Imperial man with a combat speciality, but whose main skills include Sneak and Unarmored. Pretty random, huh? This post has been edited by Holosiren: Feb 16 2006, 09:08 PM

I guarantee I will Play at least 14 different kinds of characters before I REALLY commit to one and play all the way through and max everything out and do all the quests and try to get all the items together and kill everyone everywhere. In MW I took like a whole year of playing if not two before I ever got past the second mission of the main quest.
