Arena Options

i was wondering if they were going to make an arena in OB, that would be absolutly sick! if not i hope sombody mods an arena in the game.

As it happens, yes, I understand that there is going to be an arena with gladitorial-style combat in Oblivion, because one of the announced joinable factions is "the arena".

I haven't read much more about it, but I'd presume that you fight your way up a ladder, trying to become the arena champion. I'd also be very surprised if there weren't other quests associated with being a fighter in the arena, advancing the political interests of the faction in the wider world.

Your assumer correct as far as climbing a ladder goes, but it's more complicated with a fight schedule and more. I'm not sure what else but seeing as how at a high merchant skill you can invest in shops I wouldn't be surprised if you could get into sponsors and whatnot. Also, if you choose to you can bet on matches, and you don't have to join the guild to be able to bet.

i had a mod for it in mw and it kiked boat, so i hope the ob is just as good or better

I loved the Arena mission in MW, though they were few a far between and often ended too soon. I think this was beacuse by the time you got to that quest, your character was well developed. If it's a 'Guild' kinda thing, I guess you could join straight away and always have a challenge waiting for you.

Ah the Arena guild.

Fatherless child of Morrowind.

I've been pressing for Gladiator style fights ever since i found out that the Arena in vivec was just a large useless hole in the chizzled ground.

Yes you will. There will be an Arena guild in which you can fight. You will probably not have to kill your oppenent because of the yield feature though you always can. I belive that killing him will increase your infamy by alot. The Arena will also be a good place to spare and place bets. It should add much replay value to the game.
